I don't like to cry when I eat. But this was good. The sauces/seasoning could be a bit more complex, this is why I'm giving th star rating of 4. The service was good, I ordered right before they closed on a weekday at 3 pm. The host was patient with the little ones while they kept shaking the candy machine. Bring quarters if you want to avoid a melt down. For a $14 plate of noodles, I'd go there again. Broccoli still had a crunch in the stem. I ordered the crying tiger and the chicken larb (in their salad menu). The crying tiger was not good at all. I would not recommend ordering that dish. The meat was cooked very poorly...it tasted like it was left over? And the sauce that it came with was just not good. It tasted too sweet and a bit like a generic salad vinaigrette? I was expecting it to taste a bit more traditional. On another note, the chicken larb wasn't bad! It tasted how I expected it to. We planned a late lunch with a couple of our friends (Saturday, 2:30pm) and we all very much enjoyed it!! They don't disappoint - they never did, which made this our favorite Thai restaurant for family meals!! They give large portions and the food is always tasty - we always have extras to take home, even after getting full!! Plus, their take out is great too!! Some good stuff and some bad stuff out of this meal, mostly bad. I sent back my food so that's a big fail in my book. The place is nice. Good vibes, seemed busy enough. We ordered a simple spread, tofu salad rolls, Tom kah soup, and pineapple duck curry spice level 2/5 for both meals. No peanuts...allergy. And tea. Tea was great. Salad rolls came with peanut sauce... whoops. But whatever just don't eat the sauce. They were good salad rolls. The soup was for my girlfriend who isn't really a spice fan but she was being adventurous with 2/5. I usually get 3-4/5 but I went with 2/5 so she could have some of my duck. Her soup was almost inedible because of the spice. Easily 3 and closer to 4 outta 5 spicy. My duck curry was also ridiculously spicy for a 2, but not as bad as her soup. So I traded her. I sweated my way through the soup. It had a strange cardboard or foot taste that I didn't notice until about half way. The rice was good at least. She tried at the curry duck but eventually gave up and ate the last salad roll instead. She said the duck was chewy. Duck is my favorite so I figured I'd give it a try. It was terrible. Like leather. Dry and old tasting. More skin than meat. I love duck skin, but this skin was so chewy I couldn't swallow it. Just horrible and I know that there's no way the cook was proud of that duck, so why serve it? I spit out my first three pieces in a row on my plate because it was so bad. One was the ducks knee. There's no meat on a ducks knee so why was it in the meal?? The rest besides the duck in the curry was actually amazing. The gravy and tomatoes, and pineapple, were perfect. It's a shame the duck had to wreck it. And the spice was easily a 3/5. But the rice was good. And speaking of spitting things out, the cook walked out of the kitchen with a bus tub in his arms and spit into it in the front of the restaurant where I could see. It wasn't a loogie style horking spit, just like there was something inedible in his mouth, (maybe the duck?), and he spit the food into the bus tub he was carrying. Gross man, do that gross stuff in the back where I can't see it at least. You work with food... So I complained about the food, not the spit, she apologized, then I saw her say something to the cook guy, he didn't seem worried. She took the curry off the bill. I have a feeling that this disaster of a meal wasn't this places finest performance. The food was on the verge of greatness but crashed and burned before takeoff. A little quality control and this place would have been a 5/5 easily. It's just disappointing to have come on what I would guess was an off day. read more

We both ordered Papaya salads, I got Tom Kha veggies my friend got bbq chicken The Papaya salads we're just ok. For me their was no wow factor.. and it was very small. The Tom Kha, suffice it to say I wish I ordered some thing different. The broth was very watery, and not much flavour. the veggies were minimal and over cooked. Hardly any spice at all when it was requested Thai hot, also didn't have all the good herbs and spices that I've come to love with Tom Kha. My friend tried to eat his BBQ chicken but couldn't because the chicken was too dry. He left most of it like literally about 80% of it on the plate. Sticky rice is not included with your Papaya salad. Nor is steamed rice included with your Tom kha. This point is key, because I have the word from a friend who is from Thailand. That every where in Thailand when you eat food weather it be at somebody's house or in a restaurant rice is always included. We both decided to order sticky rice. Sticky rice was hard as a rock and dry .We Could not eat it. The waitress was pleasant, I felt bad as they were noticibley under staffed. The Woman at the till taking take away orders was over whelmed. And nobody arrived to help her out. I don't enjoy giving 1 or 2 star reviews. And I do it only if the food imho is not enjoyable. To a lesser degree service factors in to my rating. I can deal with dodgy service and, picnic tables for seating. If the food is delicious, and portions are fair. They didn't charge us for the sticky rice. And they still seemed over whelmed as we were trying to pay.. Do I have to travel to another city far away like LA or SF, to find good Thai food? read more
