i come to kindee thai every few weeks after work for a little treat. staff is always friendly, helpful, and i get in and out quickly. I always call in to order take out an the wait time has never exceeded 15 minutes. One time i came to pick up my food before realizing that i left my wallet at my house. I was annoyed at myself, thinking i would need to drive all the way home to come back and pay, but the lovely cashier told me that i could just take my food and all them when i arrived with my card info! We went for lunch and enjoyed the colorful photos of the food on the monitor screen. The photos helped to decide what we wanted. Friendly welcoming staff. Clean and well maintained restaurant. Service was amazing and quick. The fresh summer rolls were refreshing, delicate and light. Enjoyed the warmness of the peanut sauce. We order pork pha thai noodles and chicken egg plant. It was sweeter than we expected. I'll try it again but ask that they put the sauce on the side so I can manage how much sauce is on the dish. We'll return and try something else. read more

Our favorite Thai place in vancouver! Everything is really good. Pad Thai, chicken Laarb, ginger chicken, & pad ke mow. Also the curries are all amazing. Ask for the pumpkin or avacado curry! Our son loves the tofu soup, sticky rice & chicken satay. read more

The food is well-spiced and delicious, however portions are a tad on the small side. We had the eggplant basil special, drunken noodles, a red curry, salad rolls, and dessert. The eggplant seemed to have one small Chinese eggplant cut into 3 pieces and mostly onions. Eating family style with 4 people, that meant not everyone got a piece. The dessert was sticky rice with mango and purple yam ice cream. Amazingly the portions for dessert were more than the dinner portions, as in, I am really glad I split the dessert as it would have been too much for me to eat alone. The service was very good, extra rice brought when asked for, water filled several times. Also, a new one for me: Thai iced tea with lime juice instead of milk-I liked it! 5 stars for deliciousness, 4 for portion size. I'd give 4.5 but I can't. read more

The most amazing Thai food I've ever had in my life! I'm from San Francisco CA and do we have Asian good here! Of course but the Tom Ka soup with chicken was amazingly yummy! The lamb massaman was the best I've ever had in peanut sauce with brown rice! And I had the best chicken satay! It was the most tastiest food ever! You have to try it out and you'll become a fan! I've only ordered to-go here. The food is amazing and service is quick!! The building looks newish but it has very old-school Thai decor. I think it needs to be brightened up and more modern decor. I think this place is solid. I don't think it's anything mind blowing nor do I think it's a place to go out of your way for. If you're in the area, feel like trying a new Thai place, then I would suggest it. I ordered pad thai, which has become less common for me to order at Thai places recently. I was just really feeling pad thai that day! The interesting thing is that they don't ask you how spicy you want it at this restaurant- it comes with zero spice (the pad thai does). I though that was a little odd as I've literally never experienced that before at a Thai restaurant. Fine with me though- I'm a spice weakling! My friend got the pad thai as well and simply asked for a spice rack which they happily provided. The pad thai itself had a good flavor, but like I said, nothing mind blowing. It was sort of expensive I felt? Almost $11 for just pad thai with chicken. No rice or anything extra. I feel like most Thai restaurants that seem similar in atmosphere tend more around $8/9 for a plate of pad thai. I don't like comparing food from different areas to Vancouver as I feel like there's a slightly different standard between cities and I don't think that's always necessarily fair because people want to know how it is compared to other places in their area (usually). However, I do think it's important, so I would like to mention it. Thai food in Seattle (specifically the U-District) is cheaper yet superior in flavor and many times come with something like rice or you can get inexpensive combos with egg rolls, etc. I ate so much Thai food in college at UW that I actually got tired of it, so that's a little back story to my somewhat harsh opinion on Thai food establishments. I would like to try their BBQ chicken if I'm in the area again. It seems popular. The service was really nice and quick! The atmosphere was standard- clean and presentable. read more

I love their pad thai. This is definitely my go to pad thai restaurant. The noodles are perfectly cooked, the flavor is not too overbearing & it's delicious. The price isn't bad. I love this place. Their crab puffs are also very good. read more

I had a hard time rating them. The inside of the restaurant was clean and nice, the service was nice, so I gave them high marks on that. I ordered the tofu salad rolls and there drunken noodles (they go by the actual name on the menu). I've eaten drunken noodles all over portland/vancouver and these ones weren't in my top 10. The spice level was nice, but flavor wise it just wasn't for me. I'm not saying they are bad, and I am sure some people will really enjoy them, but just wasn't the flavor profile I was looking for. The tofu salad rolls were the most disappointing to me. They were pretty small in size, and extremely basic. Not enough herbs to even taste the herbs. I know its not standard but I have found places that add some Cucumber to the inside of their rolls tend to add a bit of freshness and crispness. So overall for me it was just middle of the park, and not one that I would put as one of my favorite thai spots in vancouver area. And with all the Thai places opening there is real competition for where to go now. read more

Loved it when it was dine it, they had great food and great service. During covid, food is coming out blah, wrong order and items missing from packages. But, they have a clean setup and everyone is wearing mask. Hopefully food quality will be back to normal post covid. read more

Kindee Thai makes the most delicious Thai food that I've ever tasted. My family agrees. It's perfectly spiced with tons of flavor, fresh produce, and healthy and well cooked meat or tofu. I've eaten Thai food at restaurants in major cities like San Francisco, Boston, Vancouver BC, Seattle, and London. Kindee is my favorite hands down. The staff is professional and courteous. The food comes out fast, yet is quality. My family gets takeout, but if you want to dine in, the decor is nice and the atmosphere is calm, comfortable, and not pretentious. I feel so lucky to live close to Kindee Thai and can't wait to treat myself and my family again soon. read more

When I think of Thai I think of Tom Yum Soup Excellent!! The best I ever had!!! Spicy lemongrass special broth soup with fresh lime juice, kaffir lime leaf, grape tomato, mini-mushrooms and a lot of mixed seafood! For our party of four, we also had: Simple Noodle The wide rice noodle had good texture, stir-fried with egg, onion, cabbage and bean sprout in house soy sauce. Great flavor!! Pad Thai Stir-fried rice noodle in a tamarind sauce with bean sprouts, egg and onions served with chopped peanuts. A OK Yellow Curry (mild) sauce Thai yellow curry with coconut milk, potato, onion, carrot and sprinkle with shallots. Was OK, the excessive sauce Tilapia Sweet Chili Sauce Crispy filet Tilapia flavored with garlic chili sauce Surprisingly fantastic tasty sauce! -Great on steam rice. Be careful of this pace when it come to delivery. Staff was very unfriendly when I called for delivery and forced me to order with their web site. The Uber guy came TWO HOURS EARLY with white instead of brown rice, and with all the costs, two simple dinner dishes cost $50. We had to microwave it later and it was just so so. read more

Got an order of pad Thai from here the other day and was (mostly) impressed! The flavor was on point, really tasty, but SUPER spicy. As in, I asked for 'medium' and got 'fires of hell'. Our order: Coconut Prawns, Fresh Shrimp Spring Roll, Kindee Chicken with a side of vegetables for the kids, Pad Garlic, and Crispy Duck with Red Curry. The prawns were small and a bit overdone in the fryer - sauce accompaniment was good. Spring roll was small but excellent quality & flavor. The duck was on the dry side and served separately from the curry, but good. (Not fatty at all.) Curry was ordered SPICY and we were not disappointed! Excellent spice combo and I like the lychee. The Kindee Chicken was AMAZING! Will be back for that alone, plus to try some of those desserts! A nice change in flavor profiles from the usual around here. read more

I freaking love this place however maybe you should think about hiring some more staff in order to support your growing business. Food is good and only decent place near home I can get decent Thai without driving into Portland or dt vancouver. Just please considering hiring another server for the busier nights saw a few just get up and walk out because of the wait. read more
