It was my first time here, and one thing really stands out. THE SERVICE! Even though it was lunch time and they were moderately busy I was greeted and sat promptly. The atmospheres cool, playlist is good. Now it's a tad small in the inside, but I didn't mind. All of the wait staff were attentive and courteous. This restaurant is our new favorite! It was a wonderful experience, start to finish. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had the Sashimi Sampler, Shrimp Tamarind, and Teppanyaki Hibachi with shrimp. I would recommend it all! My husband and I sat at the bar, and thoroughly enjoyed watching those behind the bar make a wide variety of sushi. Place is super busy so expect to wait. We even went in on a weeknight. It's worth the wait though. Coming from the west coast where good sushi places are a dime a dozen I've found it hard to find a good place here in middle GA but we found it! Sushi is pretty good and fresh. They have a wide variety of rolls and their nigiri selection isn't half bad. Their hot sake was also really good! Some places the sake is more like rubbing alcohol but they actually have a good quality sake. It does take a long time to get it when you order it though. I'm guessing because they only heat it when you order it but it didn't bother us. The service was so so. The wait was long for both the sushi and the sake and the server seemed distracted and kinda irritated from the moment we sat down but we all have off nights. So I'm just going to assume it was an off night. We will definitely be back! read more

Kin d 96 is by far my wife and I favorite restaurant in town by far. Ive pretty much had everything of the menu. Tonight I got Tom yum seafood and nom tok which was amazing the beef was so tender and the salad was absolutely delicious. My wife always gets the pad prick king, once again everything was absolutely delicious. we always request to have Amanda as our server. She is such a great person and takes pride in her job. Thus establishment is so cute on the inside. I really loved the decor and just the atmosphere and vibe overall. The customer service was excellent, me and my mom sat there for a couple hours and the girl checked on us multiple times. Now the food, because that's really what everyone wants to know about. We ordered the sashimi sampler, SK roll, Yakuza roll, bang bang shrimp, and Thai donuts. Everything was really good. I tried my moms sashimi, but it's not really my thing so I will leave that review to her. All of the sushi rolls were delicious though, very fresh and a great flavor. The Yakuza roll was more savory, while the SK had a strong cream cheese flavor. The Thai donuts were so freaking good! I didn't even get a picture of them before we demolished them. The sauce it came with was like a Thai peanut sauce and it really set them apart from your average donut dessert. The bang bang shrimp was so fresh, like they brought it to the table steaming! You can tell they don't let their food sit in the window. The shrimp was crispy and the sauce was just barely spicy, I really enjoyed their take on the Bonefish classic. If you don't want to get kicked out, don't go later than 7pm. I've been here multiple times and 1. The food is amazing; 2. The atmosphere is way more big-city vibes than traditional Warner Robins and I LOVE IT; 3. In a town that only has chain restaurants, it's a gem, really. All of those would tempt me to leave a 5-star review. However, I have been hearing from people not to go in close to closing time because they'll kick you out, and accidentally tested that theory Saturday night with my husband. I really like this restaurant and didn't want to leave a bad review, so I was going to let it slide that we were initially greeted with "will this be carryout, because we close in 30 minutes", as more of a statement than a question, when my husband and I first walked in at 8:30 (they close at 9 on Saturdays) (who closes at 9 on Saturdays?). Then, with multiple booths open, the host asks if we'll sit at the sushi bar. I was like "I'd rather have a booth" and she said "well this is for 4 people but I guess you can sit here". Excuse me? The server was sweet and took our order, eventually brought our food, and wasn't seen again until she gave us the check at like 8:50. In between the time that we sat down and the time we left, I watched them send away at least 12 people, all well before 9:00, with the exception of a mother/daughter trio that opted for carryout and sat and waited at the front instead. I was freaking HORRIFIED. First of all, I've been in the service industry for 7 years. Never once in my entire tie serving have I EVER been able to tell someone "I'm sorry we're closed" unless it's actually after closing time. In some restaurants, if the door isn't locked, you still have to serve the customers. This restaurant was actually sending people away between 8:35 and 9, when they promptly turned the sign off and began putting the chairs up. WITH A RESTAURANT FULL OF PEOPLE. I could not freaking believe it and felt so pressured to leave (duh) even though I wanted to enjoy the food I just fought for. It was my last night with my husband before I left for the summer on business and wanted to enjoy part 1 of date night and felt pressured the entire time I was watching people sent away. So I have questions: 1. Why say you close at 9 if you're not seating till 9 or taking orders till 9? Why not save us all the embarrassment of getting turned away after driving from who knows where and close at 8:30 or 8 or 7 or whatever time is most convenient for the servers to leave. 2. What is the difference in making a woman and her two kids sit at the front of the restaurant while waiting on their food to go instead of at a table where they leave a better tip instead because they know it was a little inconvenient for you (to do your job until a whopping 9:00 on a saturday night). 3. Cheering "Bye guys thank you so much have a great night" as you shepherd everyone outside at 9:03 doesn't negate the fact that the point of a restaurant is for people to come in, relax, leave their problems at the door, and enjoy some good food. If your atmosphere is cute but everyone feels stressed about getting out (or in) in time to not be confronted by the FOH staff, your atmosphere is ruined. Pretty much, my husband was humored at how horrified I was at multiple families being turned away because it was "closing time" before it was even closing time. Ate here for lunch with my husband. He got the spicy basil thai fried rice and I had the pad woo Sen with chicken. It was delicious. The salad and egg roll were also what you would expect from a thai restaurant. A lot of people were ordering the sushi and were cleaning their plates. I will try some next time. The food was delicious. We love their massaman curry and sushi. But we just left there, and it was so hot inside it made the entire dining experience terrible. In between lunch and dinner they either put the thermostat way up or cut it off completely. Because when we asked the server about the temperature, she said it takes a while for it to cool off for dinner. We were there two hours and it never cooled off. When we left, their was no temperature difference between inside and the 94 degrees outside. YO !! This is the sushi spot. I eat probably an unhealthy amount of sushi. I love it. Just tried this place for the first time and I am blown away at the taste. It is so good. The presentation and feel of the place is awesome. Has a very west coast vibe. Music is perfect level. Very small place though, so large parties are probably not a good idea. Service was good. We loved Kin. D when it first opened. Now the food comes out burnt and cold. The prices are outrageous- we did not mind this as we ate there at least once a week to support small businesses! We ordered take out from there often as well! For the last month they have refused to give any sauce with. To- go orders ( sauce that is usually served with the meals if you dine in). When we called to ask about this after not getting sauce with our to go order for the second time- they stated it doesn't come with the meals. We told them it does for dine in- they said they didn't do that with to go. Then told us if we didn't like we didn't have to come back. Deal Hal! There goes $70-150 a week for your company. This place used to be good before COVID. I called to make sure they could do cucumber sushi rolls, I was told yes. I called back to place my order. 5 minutes later I get a call saying they cannot do it because they have new sushi chefs. So I cancelled part of my order. I went to pick it up and asked to speak to a manager to find out why. He said they used to be able to do it but now the new sushi chefs cannot roll it. I explained I wasn't looking for them to roll it just slice a cucumber and put the sushi it in. I was told well that's not on the menu. Again blaming things on the fact they have a new team. Honestly really it's not my problem. A good manager/leader would actually address the problem instead of placing blame on the team. Pointing fingers does not solve the problem. When I stated I cancelled part of my order and still got it and paid for it, he offered nothing but a half apology. We live in the middle of no where GA. So disappointed and ruined my Friday dinner.
