My first initial thought of the build was this is a mini grocery store.. I'm from New Orleans so don't judge me... we are used to building switching up lol. Ok presentation is everything next to taste. Everything looked good and tasted just as good. Boy when o day them crawfish egg rolls were the truth and I don't even like crawfish... I love a good French bread with shrimp on it. It was lightly toasted, shrimp were seasoned well and when I say shrimp were falling off the poboy with every bite... My husband and Wanda enjoyed the alligator bites and the sausage poboy was flavorful and hot to their satisfaction. If in the area we will stop again.

Highly recommend this place. We tried a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed. Every dish was full of flavor and left us wanting more.

Great portions, great flavors and FRESH. All parties agreed we will be back when we are in town again! Shrimp pho was well liked as well as the chicken lo mein. I tried a bite and a sip of each and was impressed. Prices are higher than I normally pay in Houston but the portions and taste sure made up for that!

A Bit Disappointed.. The Food isn't bad but its not that Great either.. they charge for EVERYTHiNG..!! They Charge for Butter for your potatoes and Corn.. they barely speak english and they are not very friendly or Helpful...I tried it before and it was pretty good but this time was NOT GOOD..!

Seafood po boy - shrimp and catfish and oysters oh my!!

Omg y'all - this seafood po boy is off the chain!! The combo came with fries but don't fool with those - direct your attention to the plentiful shrimp, catfish, and oysters in this sandwich! This was my first time but it won't be my last!

Mr Duong We only ate the seafood. As I stated the rest was canned! If I had enjoyed one thing, I wouldn't have called you out! I noticed you changed your first picture. You don't sell fresh raw oysters? It was on your picture also. False advertising

The bread pudding was absolutely the highlight of the meal; it was hands down the best part and completely delicious. The food overall was pretty good, and everything was prepared well. This is definitely a place I look forward to visiting whenever I'm nearby, and I'd happily recommend it to others.

The happy hour specials had to be asked about, however the bartender/server was very attentive and responsive. I ordered the Mango Cart beer along with the sampler of charbroiled oysters. The bartender also brought out some bread. I had high hopes for the oysters, and although you get a variety, they left me feeling somewhat disappointed. The Rockefeller had way too much spinach, the charbroiled was dry and had too much bread crumbs, the crab stuffed was okay and to my surprise the Diablo was my favorite. I also got some bread pudding which came out pipping hot. It tasted okay although it was too much for one person. Overall I gave the meal 4 stars The next day I came back with friends and we sat in the dining area. This was disastrous. The server let us know she was going to come back and help us after she got the LARGE group next to us taken care of but would put our order in first. Then she forgot about us. Actually told us she had already put their order in and proceeded to take our order. Then she had to come back and confirm (which was wrong) as she didn't write anything down. We started off with an order of crab stuffed mushrooms. Although the stuffing was tasty, as a whole it wasn't something I'd order again. I ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 - 1/2 poboy and gumbo. Food was just okay. The sandwich was dry, the gumbo was mostly rice. My friend, who we were celebrating, was disappointed with her food. When it came to the table she saw fries and asked was there an option and the server said yes, and she proceeded to ask her what she would have liked instead. However the fish was dry, the shrimp was overcooked and the veggies (that she replaced for the fries) was the highlight of her meal. Unfortunately we also both got sick which we assumed was from the mushrooms as it's the only thing we both had. So this visit gets 2 stars.

I attended with a local friend and he confirmed this is authentic. The experience: Friendly staff, a long restaurant with a bar section, followed by the condiments section, followed by a whole other bar somehow? I didn't poke my head back there but I found that intriguing. More on the condiments: They come with any sandwich. I probably took unfair advantage by taking enough lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to make an entire salad. I then asked for dressing, which they happily provided at no charge. And sandwiches? Do get. Delicious bread. The default bread appears to be the French - you could opt for their sourdough if you like - and it's not toasted. I love soft bread, and the po' boy was divine as a result. I loved the boudin. I loved that they have alligator sausage in multiple places on the menu. I loved everything about this place except the fact that summer means just about all of the beers were light, and I had to hunt and peck to find beers more my style. Which I did. And maybe those beers are lingering as I type this review. But BeauxJax gave me the warm, fuzzy, welcoming feeling I love in a restaurant. A great stop in Bossier. Worth a detour from Shreveport. Legitimate Cajun.

However, after being seated, it took another 25 minutes before anyone came to take our drink orders. When I finally placed my food order, several items came out incorrectly. After asking three times for the issues to be corrected, I eventually gave up. I was still charged for everything I ordered, including the items that were wrong or never properly served. When I brought this to our server's attention, her response was that she could bring the food to me in a takeout box. At that point, I had to ask myself why I was spending my money at a business that clearly did not value me as a customer. This will be my last attempt to support this restaurant. There are too many other places to choose from that offer better food and far better service. The food was mediocre, and the service was unacceptable.

The waitress came back and took salad orders, how we wanted the meat cooked plus another drink if needed. I ordered medium well. After a bit i order another old fashioned. The first one went smooth and good. Not too much ice, just the right amount of liquor. Chilled and good. The wedge salad comes out and it's covering the plate.
