Disappointing and completely overpriced. We came here for a date night and left incredibly frustrated. We started with the fried alligator, which was a small portion for the price, and the crawfish, which was heavily over-battered and I removed some of the batter and it fishy. ​To make matters worse, the waitress recommended a drink that tasted terrible. When we told her we didn't like it and sent it back, she refused to take it off the bill. Even a classic Old Fashioned was poorly made. At that point, we completely gave up on ordering entrees. Spending $55 for two subpar appetizers and two awful drinks is ridiculous. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

In need of a new favorite Cajun restaurant, we started a search. One of our first locations to try sounded very promising. Crawdaddy's Kitchen offers all of our favorites and had sampler platters that gave us a good selection. We had the Acadiana seafood platter and the Cajun sampler platter. With these, we got to try their chicken and andouole gumbo, crawfish etouffee, red beans and rice, crayfish, shrimp, catfish and hush puppies. This provided a wonderful variety of their delicious food. This made them a potential favorite and we hope to return and try more of their menu. read more

Had the fried mushroom and alligator bites. The gator bites were "chef's kiss" delicious! The mushroom was a little too wet for me. The service was good though. The ladies in take out were kind and helpful. I was just sad that the pistolettes were taken off the menu. I flew in and the entire time I was on the plane that was on my mind. Was recommended to check out this place by local friends. I was not sure if I was going to enjoy the food, as my first visit and expectations was not high. But after I tried the gumbo. Lots of mainly fried fish options, with a few grilled available as well. Fried Catfish! Wonderful proper crisp but light crust on a best ever thick filet light steamed with great flaky large filets. Shrimp really good and sides and gumbo are just right. Parking looked full but plenty of table space still available inside. They are known for very prompt service and food, so they apologized when it was going to take 10 minutes as they had just turned in orders for 2 parties of a dozen. Prices are quite reasonable, getting homemade quality for just about a dollar over commercial chains, with plenty of food on the plate. Unsweet tea was just brewed and better taste than you would expect... Worth the extra short drive around town to get there, and quite fine staff as well. Try it, you'll like it. read more

I visited Crawdaddy's Kitchen yesterday evening around 6:00 PM to get crawfish. Let me start by saying the seasoning was absolutely amazing flavor-wise, it was on point. However, the overall experience was very disappointing, which is unusual for me because I have eaten here many times in the past and have never had a bad experience until now. We were seated, and our waitress initially greeted us and brought drinks for me, my daughter, and my friend. After that, service became difficult. It took a long time to find our waitress when we needed refills. Eventually, I had to get up myself, and another server from a different section was kind enough to bring our drinks. When the crawfish arrived, they were extremely small for the amount ordered (three and a half pounds). They were not hot--only warm--and very wet, almost as if they hadn't been cooked long enough. It honestly felt like we received the bottom of the barrel. By the time we received the check, I was extremely disappointed, especially considering the amount of money paid. I'm not sure what was going on that night, but this experience did not meet the standard I've come to expect from Crawdaddy's. I truly hope this was just an off night, because this visit was not the Crawdaddy's experience I've had or expected in the past. read more

If you are in the Shreveport or Bossier area you have to stop in for great Cajun food. This was our first visit. A local recommended it. Glad we tried it because we now have a new favorite restaurant. The boiled crawfish were the largest and best I've had this season. I was very tempted to order the Crawfish Cornbread. Under new management! TBH my friends and I stopped going here for last few years, the food and restaurant was going to hell. With the quality of food going down and prices going up it didn't take long to tank. Finally new owners stepped up and they have a lot of experience in success. They have done great with getting the kitchen and staff motivated and the quality of food is on point! They actually serve Louisiana channel catfish and Louisiana fresh shrimp, butterflied and breaded in house!!! Not some frozen out the bag stuff! Yeah you pay a little extra for fresh seafood but your not going to crawdaddys to save money, your going here to eat great food. I got the lunch fish and shrimp and they were full sized filets and big jumbo shrimp. Our waiter brain was very good at his job, we never wanted for anything, even as busy as it was he multi tasked very well and had us rolling when we were talking. I will definitely ask for him again. But I noticed the other servers were hustling just as much as Brian so I don't see I service ever being an issue. They are adding a new bar next door as well so I'll have to see how that looks when open. Btw they have a loyalty program, be sure to sign up with your server if you're going to be a regular. Needed some good food so we came here. Let's start with the bad, they water down the liquor. I am a lightweight I am gone after 1 shot, we took 3 shots and I felt nothing so that is disappointing. The good, we came as a group and they seated us without any issues and the customer service was great. The food was really good we tried almost everything on the menu and it was delicious. You could just order this and be good... The fettuccine Alfredo was made fresh noodles made fresh and there was some thing about it that I couldn't put my finger on but I've never tasted before and it was absolutely divine. Seldom have I had crawfish this late in the year but it was only second this year to the Jute Joint in Ocean Springs. Yes I travel for crawfish. This is the worst place for crawfish. We spent $240 for some takeout, and please believe when I tell you that I wouldn't have fed that to my dog. We thought we'd give it another go since the last time we were there several years ago and it was disgusting then. Becky made us feel as welcome as if we were having lunch with old friends. The food was fantastic. The boudin balls are the best we've ever had (and we've had some amazing boudin over the years, homemade and store bought.) The chicken and andouille sausage gumbo is full of flavor, with a rich roux, yet not too spicy. The DAT sauce was so good we bought some to take home. Say yes to the cole slaw and especially the pickles - you will not be worry. We will definitely be back for boiled crawfish once the season resumes. read more
