Excuse me? This food was yum. Period. I didn't expect it when we walked in. But I also didn't consult yelp beforehand. We were staying at the hotel and a lady in the elevator told us she'd heard it was good. It was. We got the crab dip which came with deep fried saltine crackers! I'd never seen this, I was tickled. The dip was yum but would have been top notch had it been warm all the way thru. Speaking of, husbands etoufee was cold, not even room temp, chilly like someone forgot to press start on the cooking source. I got the blackened salmon meal with rice and broccoli and baby, the food was well seasoned and delicious. I hated to leave any behind but I was stuffed and our hotel didn't have a micro for reheating. Two word review: Go here.

Charbroiled Shrimp salad

Charbroiled Shrimp salad was so flavorful! The shrimp were easy to peel the tail off and spiced just right. I chose the balsamic dressing and it went well with our Crawfish tails and Calamari. I can't wait until my next trip. I know where I'm eating. Portions are enough for two people. You won't be disappointed.

Love the crab cakes here! Our cashier/waitress Selena was extremely friendly! We'll definitely be back!

Funny thoughts.

Excellent food, good service. So many options to choose from. All are cooked to perfection.

the food was SO GOOD!! The restaurant is in the horseshoe hotel beside where the casino is, which i wasn't expecting, but for being inside a casino I was shocked to experience the servers being so kind and the environment being pretty quiet overall. I could bring kids here and feel safe and I thought the portions and prices were fair.

I really enjoyed my meal here. It's inside of the Horseshoe. The service was a bit slow but It was great because it was all fresh. The chefs decently cooked with care. They took pride in every dish. Fair pricing. The oysters rockefeller were delicious. I loved the batter the calamari was cooked it. The lady behind the bar was sweet and patient. We came at the time that the bar across the hall was playing live music which made it a lively afternoon. Highly recommended.

Yum! Amazing!

This place is amazing! As you can see, we tried all of the seafood and everything was phenomenal. The icing on the cake was my Long Island. I used to own a bar, so I am VERY picky about my drinks. Very few people have a true bartender these days. The one here ACED it! We will definitely be back!

Raw oysters had a bitter taste rubbery. Disappointed. Fried catfish over etouffee was very good.

Food was great. Loved the firecracker shrimp and crab boil. Few kinks to work out with service. Would avoid the drinks- very expensive.

The parking lot is a mess. The employees are rude. But the most unbelievable part is that they somehow make it difficult to order food that is actually listed on their own menu. If I want 12 stuffed shrimp, I should be able to order 12 stuffed shrimp. Simple. Instead, I am told to buy the 3-shrimp plate four times because management refuses to sell customers the quantity they want. That is not customer service. That is nonsense. When I asked for half a dozen stuffed shrimp, I was told I would need to purchase two separate $20 meals for a total of $40. Yet the menu clearly lists a half-dozen order for $32. Why should I pay an extra $8 for food I never asked for and do not want? The entire situation is ridiculous. I am sick and tired of excuses, confusion, and incompetence. This establishment has fallen so far from the reputation built by F&H and Pete Harris that it is almost unrecognizable. I am done with this place permanently. Until they fix their customer service, their ordering process, and their overall attitude toward customers, people should spend their money elsewhere. This restaurant should be embarrassed by what it has become.

Lots of mainly fried fish options, with a few grilled available as well. Fried Catfish! Wonderful proper crisp but light crust on a best ever thick filet light steamed with great flaky large filets. Shrimp really good and sides and gumbo are just right. Parking looked full but plenty of table space still available inside. They are known for very prompt service and food, so they apologized when it was going to take 10 minutes as they had just turned in orders for 2 parties of a dozen. Prices are quite reasonable, getting homemade quality for just about a dollar over commercial chains, with plenty of food on the plate. Unsweet tea was just brewed and better taste than you would expect... Worth the extra short drive around town to get there, and quite fine staff as well. Try it, you'll like it.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. It took over an hour for us to receive our food. We ordered shrimp and grits and two shrimp and fish platters. During the wait, I asked our server twice what was taking so long. Both times, I was told that they had a large party on the patio. While I understand that large parties can put additional pressure on a kitchen, that really shouldn't come at the expense of other customers who were seated and ordered before or around the same time. If the restaurant isn't able to accommodate a large party while maintaining reasonable service for other guests, there should be better planning and communication. What made it even more frustrating was watching other tables around us receive their food before we did. When I questioned the delay, the response was essentially that "some food takes longer than others." I understand that certain dishes may take more time to prepare, but waiting over an hour without any proactive communication or explanation was disappointing. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, the experience left a poor impression. I really wanted to enjoy the restaurant and give it a fair chance, but based on the service we received, I highly doubt we'll be returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customers shouldn't have to repeatedly ask about their food after waiting that long.

Drinks here are pretty affordable and you get all the favorite cocktails like the Hurricane and Hand Grenade. Drink at your own risk cause they are powerful and pack a punch. You may get some sass from the bartender but it's all in good fun. As for food, whatever cajun bar eat you're looking for, it's here. Boudin stuff, po boys, muffelettas, and the gumbo/red beans & rice/jambalaya are all delicious here. Everything I've tried here is awesome. The loaded mac & cheese is one of my favorites; get it fully loaded with the boudin and crawfish; OMG! Vibes here scream cajun college bar with some sassy fun bartenders and a variety of patrons here. It was too salty. The bread to meat ratio was way off. ($14) Beers are pricey, but the live music is free. So that's a trade off. We stayed till about 9pm enjoying the music.
