Larry P's is the best place to eat in the city! The food is always good, hot and fresh. The beer is always cold! Their atmosphere is the best around! We went on day for their special, we added things to it that we did not get, the very next time we went they took care of us!!!!

What's the one thing one should eat in LA while passing through? Local Crawfish! Market price and my budget made it not advantageous to get a mess of them to shell and eat. it's in the Mac 'n cheese, y'all! Everything was seasoned to perfection and their house blends of sauces, dips and butters are worth the visit alone! (See pics) My only complaint is the music that eventually got turned on that had some profane language that was off putting. The genre was not the issue just the lyrics; I love me some Tauren Wells or Lecrae. Sweet, very polite, patient, helpful lady behind the register made you feel welcome and at home. Larry, the owner was on sight and answered promptly to questions I posted via Yelp before stopping in; he also tended some customers so they got their food hot when ready while the cashier was taking others orders.

I love the po-boy bread they use! Fried fish and fried shrimp have good flavor (too much heat for my husband and son but they can't handle any heat). Shrimp are small but good. Also love the glass bottle Cokes, Dr Pepper, Sprite, and root beer. Inside seating is limited but plenty of seating outside in the covered patio area.

WHOOO! Larry P's is all over every handout and I've read about Larry P's on many blogs when looking to visit Shreveport. It's a food truck and you can see the trucks with the live crawfish parked beside the truck. You can't miss it if you are following your mapquest. There's a huge billboard. FOLLOW THEM ON FACEBOOK FOR THE LATEST NEWS! They will post often during crawfish season. This year started mid December? Not sure when it will end but give them a call prior to arrival or check FB! $5.95/lb of crawfish right now. Got the $18.99 3lb crawfish platter with potatoes and corn. Came with a few small potatoes and 1 piece of corn and the remaining was crawfish. The seasoning is a bit spicier than other crawfish places. I loved the flavors blended. Because it's only February, crawfish are still small and not fully grown yet but that's okay because the taste blended is delicious. TRY THEIR BEIGNETS! I've never had beignets before so these were absolutely delicious. Lots of powdered sugar and it's so delicious when they are warm. 3 for $5. Worth it!

I'm here to rave about the snowballs. They're basically ice cold, super fluffy balls of juicy joy. They don't have a crazy list of flavors, but they've got a solid list; plus they have some specialty situations that involve multiple syrups and blue bell ice cream too. The price is good, the ice is perfection and I'm basically a fan. The grave tragedy in my adult life is a new shellfish allergy so I couldn't even indulge in the seafood situation, but my friend that brought me here expressed deep deep regret about what I was missing out on. She and her husband love it. I will say that the scents and the crowd lead me to believe that the whole situation is legit. I was definitely sad to not be tearing through a pile of crawfish.

We just moved to LA, we had crawfish boiled from this place and BOYYYYYY was it good. It's delish, spicy and tasty. Even corn and potatoes cooked perfectly. Most definitely coming back for more crawfish. Even our 22 months old daughter loves it, even it's spicy she wants more lol! Thank you guys.

Oily crab that wasn't good. Just go to Joes if you want seafood it tastes better and it's cheaper which is a little shocking.

We were really looking forward to try their boiled shrimp. Sadly the seasoning was way too salty, it was almost inedible.

I attended with a local friend and he confirmed this is authentic. The experience: Friendly staff, a long restaurant with a bar section, followed by the condiments section, followed by a whole other bar somehow? I didn't poke my head back there but I found that intriguing. More on the condiments: They come with any sandwich. I probably took unfair advantage by taking enough lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to make an entire salad. I then asked for dressing, which they happily provided at no charge. And sandwiches? Do get. Delicious bread. The default bread appears to be the French - you could opt for their sourdough if you like - and it's not toasted. I love soft bread, and the po' boy was divine as a result. I loved the boudin. I loved that they have alligator sausage in multiple places on the menu. I loved everything about this place except the fact that summer means just about all of the beers were light, and I had to hunt and peck to find beers more my style. Which I did. And maybe those beers are lingering as I type this review. But BeauxJax gave me the warm, fuzzy, welcoming feeling I love in a restaurant. A great stop in Bossier. Worth a detour from Shreveport. Legitimate Cajun.

The menu was interesting, with several Cajun-themed choices, as you would imagine. Nothing blew our socks off on the menu, but we appreciated the local brew selection. Lots of mainly fried fish options, with a few grilled available as well. Fried Catfish! Wonderful proper crisp but light crust on a best ever thick filet light steamed with great flaky large filets. Shrimp really good and sides and gumbo are just right. Parking looked full but plenty of table space still available inside. They are known for very prompt service and food, so they apologized when it was going to take 10 minutes as they had just turned in orders for 2 parties of a dozen. Prices are quite reasonable, getting homemade quality for just about a dollar over commercial chains, with plenty of food on the plate. Unsweet tea was just brewed and better taste than you would expect... Worth the extra short drive around town to get there, and quite fine staff as well. Try it, you'll like it.

However, the overall experience was very disappointing, which is unusual for me because I have eaten here many times in the past and have never had a bad experience until now. We were seated, and our waitress initially greeted us and brought drinks for me, my daughter, and my friend. After that, service became difficult. It took a long time to find our waitress when we needed refills. Eventually, I had to get up myself, and another server from a different section was kind enough to bring our drinks. When the crawfish arrived, they were extremely small for the amount ordered (three and a half pounds). They were not hot--only warm--and very wet, almost as if they hadn't been cooked long enough. It honestly felt like we received the bottom of the barrel. By the time we received the check, I was extremely disappointed, especially considering the amount of money paid. I'm not sure what was going on that night, but this experience did not meet the standard I've come to expect from Crawdaddy's. I truly hope this was just an off night, because this visit was not the Crawdaddy's experience I've had or expected in the past.
