My friend and I drove all the way from Dallas to eat at Rubba Boot because we saw them on social media. We arrived 30mins after they opened and only waited about 5mins before someone came to our car window to take our order. The servers were very friendly. I REALLY LIKE the presentation at Rubba Boot. The cardboard box is a very nice touch. It's also practical since it prevents big messes and it makes cleaning up after eating super easy. Rubba Boot uses traditional Louisiana Cajun boiling techniques, not Viet-Cajun. Other than being a tad too salty, my friend and I thought the crawfish were delicious. The corn and potatoes that came with the deluxe box soaked in the seasoning nicely. I really like the sauce cup as well. I also ate the pieces of onion that got mixed in with the crawfish. I don't know if it was me being back home with folks that can actually cook or the fact this place (RB) blew the other crawfish place out the water. Either way my family helped ourselves to 6 lbs of crawfish, 4 sections of corn, and two links of Andouille sausage. I was impressed. It's easy to see why the lines are long despite there being several other spots that offer crawfish in town. We were able to get in before the rush. Everyone was still at work and we were on vacation so we lucked out. The service was friendly, polite, and prompt. Our experience left us wishing we could bring this establishment to Hawaii. The crawfish is a great size, a good price, but it could use a little more spice. There is only one spice level option. The sausage is mushy and nasty! Yuck! The customer service/workers were fast and very nice that's why it got a 2 star rating, but on the other hand the crawfish was bad. I got a 2, 5 pound box's with 4 butter sauces and it wasn't bad priced given the season, but charging for some butter when I paid $80.00 for 10 pounds is outrageous. 1 butter should be complementary for a box. I opened the box and started eating, but after I got through a few I just wanted to throw them away. I would recommend some better seasoning because it wasn't that good. Crawdaddy's kitchen on Mansfield is way better with the seasoning and flavor. If I come back I hope the next batch is better or they change the seasoning they use. Maybe I got a bad batch, but not a good first impression. :( read more

This was a unique crawfish spot in town. It was cool how they repurposed an old gas station into their store. Ordering was easy and we received our food quickly. The crawfish were seasoned WELL, just enough spice & flavor to go perfect with a cold beer. The only bad thing was the crawfish were a bit small, but thats only because it's still early in the season, no fault of the store. Biggest Disappointment I've ate of CRAWFISH honestly for the price I should've drove further down in Louisiana because this place is not where it's at. Half of the crawfish were crushed in half, and small. Quality is poor here. Their "Special Sauce" is not so special it is literally Yummy Yummy Sauce. It doesn't even go with the crawfish in my opinion. The employees also seem inconvenienced by taking an order, and or having to walk it to a vehicle. I'll also note that they don't give any napkins, paper towels, wipes, and don't even have it to offer to pay for so be ready to go to Walmart if your from out of town just so you can clean your hands. I did the 3 pound box with a dime bag of shrimp. The shrimp was very delicious and had a nice kick to it. The crawfish was amazing! The seasoning was perfect and was just cooked so right. Also, they were relatively easy to peel. I also tried some of the boudin which was great. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of my box but it was so good.
