My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here last night after making reservations on OpenTable. It was my first visit to your restaurant though my wife has been here before with friends. Chad was our server. He pleasantly explained the drink and dining menus and took good care of us all evening. My bride had her favorite drink, The French Martini, and you guys nailed it for her! I was very happy with the 2025 Pils. Dinner was amazing, Skirt steak for her, brisket for me with Yukon potatoes following salads for both of us. The quality and taste of the food was great and makes us want to come back and sample other dishes. We received great service and a nice complimentary glass of champagne (with Ho-Ho's) to finish our celebration. At the end of the evening we received a big surprise when Chad came over with news that we had no bill to pay as my wife's daughter and her husband had secretly called to pay the tab! So thoughtful of them to treat us and to top off a memorable meal and milestone in our lives.

Where it really started to miss was the overall approach. A lot of "the chef intends this..." type explanations. Today a really great employee came out and jerry-rigged a license plate that was falling off our car because the screw hole for it was broken. They are AWESOME. Pray they don't leave the neighborhood because the bike lanes have removed any way to easily pull in front of the store for loading/unloading - they are the best. I'm a bike rider too and don't want to see the new lanes shutting down small independent businesses like this - there must be a way to adjust.

The lady in charge when I went didn't know specifically what they had, but instantly knew what it cost when she saw it! In my case, as well as any owner of a Pyrex 9x13 baking pan, this trip was a major score. They have a $6 10x18 pan grate that fits snugly secured to the handles of the pan so you can roast meats as drippings fall 2" into the Pyrex. Also, the same "Winco" brand has a grate which fits inside the same glass Pyrex pan. If you want to elevate a small roast inside the 9x13, this $4 grate fits perfectly too. This stuff isn't easily found...just saying.

Bought many things here over the years. We walked in and was immediately recognized by "thebiglebowski." Still the same and the hardware store is the same with a plethora of bolts, nails, building materials, collapsable buckets, and of course a very nice candy counter!
