We used to go to Happiness Country Kennels when in Fremont until we moved in 2014 and then had a bizarre experience with them. Then we had Zelda and our kitties at Waiterock Kennels in Lafayette until this year. About 4 months ago or so we had to go on a trip to see family, where a family member across the country was ill. We prepared well in advance and reserved at Waiterock for our pups and two cats but when Simba went for his "evaluation" he flunked. Evidently they put him in a cage alone and he tried to climb out of it, I suggested doing another evaluation while Simba was with Zelda -- with whom he has spent all his time since he was 3 months old and would be sharing a kennel. Interestingly, they said they typically separate dogs from the same home in the play yard so Simba had to be evaluated alone. Well, this left us in a bind, I had to see my ailing sister and wondered if I'd have to leave my family here -- enter Doggy Day Care. I called, brought my dogs by so they could meet them and it was love at first sight! Thank you Waiterock for forcing us to find Doggy Day Care, our new place for the pups! And I feel so much better about Zelda and Simba being in more of a home setting. They take the dogs for fun trips, swimming, hiking so we feel like they are getting a bit of a vacation while staying at Doggy Day Care -- and DDC does a great job cutting their nails. Michael is very accommodating and seems like a good, pet loving, responsible & reasonable person that I am happy to give our business and trust with our two pups.

Elizabeth is knowledgeable, loves all animals and listens to every little detail concerning your pets! We had her come to our home for our weekend away which was great because our dogs got to stay in their home and she also played and checked on the cats. They were let out when needed, considerations were taken regarding one of our dogs' health issues and we received a great update email with photos giving us complete peace of mind. She has the ability to take care of dogs her house, come to you, or take your dogs on walks and is licensed and insured. We will definitely be calling her again for our next trip away!

She was just incredibly clueless and rude, and was so nasty to me when she came to pick up my keys that I called her to cancel, then she started cursing at me that HER cat was in renal failure. Well I'm not surprised. She does not have the patience or the skill to deal with geriatric cats. She started saying "Fuc*ing this and Fuc%#ing that" and went on a rant and asked me if I was on drugs. All because I called and told her to give me my money back. Just ridiculous. This woman is an ABUSER. Run for your life!!! Do not trust your pets to her! She is a toxic, terrible person and has no business taking care of other people's pets! She acts like a hot head throwing temper tantrums. This is just not acceptable. No way in HELL that I would trust my cats to this woman!

One of my children... A for baby. Camp Lisa Dog Boarding came recommended by a friend. After speaking with Lisa I was impressed with not only her professionalism but The questions she had for me. This showed me that she truly cared that the dogs she took in were a right fit for her boarding facility. Upon arrival I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. It was a luxury hotel for dogs. The facility offers radiant heat flooring, beautiful large expanded dog runs that are always open for the dogs to roam yet protected from any predators, with a constant fresh air flow, relaxing music, clean water, and much more. Lisa takes the time to get to know the dogs personality in order to match them up before putting them in their own space with other dogs. This was very important for me as I did not want my dog to be without "friends". The years of experience and knowledge Lisa has I found invaluable. The passion she has for animals shows in her work and in her beautiful facility. Hands-down this is the best Dog Boarding option in the Tri-County area if not further. I could not recommend this place more. I'm fairly certain my for baby was a bit disappointed when I picked her up and she was having the time of her life during her stay and will be excited to return when I plan another trip.
