Grabbing a big table for the gathering

I booked a stay at the Everly for a big special birthday and arranged for friends to meet me for happy hour. I was a bit trepidatious because I'd never been there before and wasn't sure how it would work for drinks with friends. Turned out to be the perfect space! First off, the hotel acknowledged my birthday and gifted me with some delicious complimentary champagne upon check in. Our room was lovely with a living room suite looking out at the Hollywood sign. Traffic noise was zero so great sound proofing. A clawfoot tub, some very jedi like bathrobes, large comfy bed. Room was great. There were cheddar fish crackers I discovered when I put up the back cushion on the chair that were missed by the cleaning staff, but I'm always willing to give some grace. Bar downstairs had a weekend happy hour with food and it was all lovely. The place feels airy, spacious, with great vibes of plants and muted colors. The staff was so welcoming as my friends began coming in. Everyone loved the space. The moment that I really felt this place was a level up from other boutique brands was when the manager, Danielle Patterson, must have overheard me complaining about how much my feet hurt in heels on hard wood floors and told me to hold one second and came back with complimentary slippers!! Heck yeah! Parking is pricey. We waymo'ed over for locals who can or find parking in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous hotel that is in a great location. Hollywood is about 2 blocks away! There is only valet parking at$65 a day but included in and out privileges. $20 parking if not staying overnight. Gorgeous hotel. They have free shot or drink when you check in. You just take the vouchers to the bar. They have free wine I think at 5 or 6pm. They have free amenities if you forgot any item. Lots of little free perks included with your stay. You can get a free bike rental and a picnic basket. The room is nice and had a view of the Hollywood sign. Closest I've stayed at with a view of the Hollywood sign. Hotel is very clean. Service was amazing. Soap in the shower smelled really good. I had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend.

I chose the Kimpton primarily based on its proximity to the Hollywood Palladium. In that sense, it was the right spot to get to and from the concert venue on foot (and even have food options to choose from on your way back). The views from my room and the hotel in general were also nice; makes the up hill hike worth it. They could up the ante on the hospitality though. I checked in at approximately 10:03pm, minutes after the hotel restaurant closed. When I inquired with the front desk staff who was checking me in, he simply said "you just missed it." Okay, cool, do you recommend anything in the area then? Nope? Alright.... My room was "cleaned" the first day but not very well. Crumbs from a pastry remained on the floor and the bedding was so wrinkled that it honestly looked better without being made up. Yikes. Lastly, I spent $50 on two cocktails during happy hour, but I'm not very happy about that price. The bartender and my server at breakfast were absolutely lovely though! To avoid the $8 water (yikes again), walk to the nearby Trader Joe's or CVS.

The Kimpton Everly hotel is an elevated experience. Treat yourself to Hollywood views, nearby amusements, high quality services and delightful times!!! They do charge valet parking, safe and secure parking. There is also street parking too, available depending on the time of day you go. The have a beautiful pool view overseeing Hollywood. This place has been a pleasure to be around. The people that work here make it gold!! Christopher's is a one of a kind bar tended. He is very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to be around!!! The cocktails are delicious, they play music which makes it enjoyable. It's overly loud. Perfect place to get work done too. If you're a small business owner, they have a conference room, the Jane cafe offers beautiful selections of trays and coffee. Their coffee is one of the stars of the shows for me!!!!!! I've had coffee different places but nothing is life the coffee at the Kimpton everly!! I absolutely love coming here. At night time, the restaurant written hand comes alive, it's beautiful. Ask for Alan, he's too spectacular. Not only is he hospitable, he makes this place very easy to love. Thank you Alan for always being an example of what excellent customer service is all about!! You are the definition of spectacular!! There's a pool table and plenty of diverse seatings! The view of the capital records build is enjoyable too! I like their French fries and cookie that comes with a malt!! I call the cookie here one of the tastiest quality cookies I have ever tried! If you're a sweets lover/cookie lover. This is your sign to try their cookie!!! :) It may be pricy but it's worth the quality. Can't wait to try out their pizza.

This is a nice hotel- It could be great if they had more hospitality personnel- Front desk was always backed up for service. And since leaving a week ago I have called Accounting and Billing at least 4 times and left messages asking for a return call. I just now called front desk (in the event the VM for accounting wasn't working) to leave an additional message and was on hold 9 minutes. Also rooms seem a little stark -even the 1BR Suites were sparse (no coffee table or sofa cushions) Bathroom had some black mold growing on the shower tiles and we stayed 3 nights and no one caught this. Hotel in general is trendy and the people working there were very friendly always (just short of help is all)

    Close to Capital Records building.

Hollywood, CA: Very convenient location close to Hollywood Boulevard and walking distance to the small but mighty Fonda Theater. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. I especially appreciate Ivan's help solving a minor issue with care and kindness. Thank you!! The room was clean and set up nicely with a fridge and bottled water (charge for water). Ceiling was funky, could use some attention. Bed was comfy enough and bathroom had nice towels and shower with free standing tub. Cocktail hour with free wine was nice surprise, took the edge off the steep parking fee of $65 + taxes which is typical of LA these days. (2024). It's worth it to be walking close to some venues and not have to find parking. I've stayed at the Kimpton in Beverly Hills close to UCLA and it was a lovely hotel as well.

Trash left by homeless people (I'm assuming) in front of the Kimpton Everly Hotel. It was left like this for two days.

The Enchanted Manor was the first place we looked at and we both felt that it was the right fit. Georgia has created a little oasis in her back yard that we felt fit our vibe - lowkey, but classy. We had booked originally for approximately 60 guests, however once all the pieces fell into place we were closer to 50. Unfortunately our guest count dropped below 50 just after our window to let Georgia know, but she was kind enough to offer us the price difference. We applied that balance towards renting some heaters and lighting the fire pits as the weather got colder than anticipated, as well as to handling the trash. (Pay attention to the contract, you are responsible for removing trash or there is a fee.) One thing I didn't realize before booking was that there is space for a kitchen, but it needs to be built out for your event, so make sure you consider that into any costs. Georgia was really helpful and responsive to all of our questions (we had so many) and anything that we couldn't do she had very reasonable reasons. (For example, at one point I thought I'd like confetti, but she explained why she doesn't allow that on her property which made total sense!) The weeks before I became worried that there wasn't enough decor, so we bought some items that we ended up returning. Once the rentals arrived, combined with the lighting, everything was beautiful as it was. Though there is excellent lighting, I would recommend watching your step as we did have a few tripping incidents (that were not alcohol fueled in some cases) as the ground changed. It was more due to the way things were spaced and we'd have to make sure to look down as we stepped around things, but we managed to survive. We've started to see some photos and everything looked beautiful; it was a romantic but relaxed vibe which was just what we wanted. I worried it wouldn't feel like a wedding, but it did. Georgia was a gracious host, our guests enjoyed her home (we made sure to tell them that they could rent it as well for an overnight getaway) and we can't wait to start reading her book. She gave us the sweetest compliment after, saying how kind our guests were and how that spoke to who my husband and I were as well. We stayed in touch after the wedding and I hope we meet again in the future for events or just a dinner to hear of her adventures! PS - her cats were big hits all around, too!

Due to an Uber address mix-up, we ended up at this location by mistake. Upon arriving near closing time, we just asked if we could come in for a drink as we believed this was a bar: After being told it was a private event, I calmly tried to explain our Uber mistake. Instead of handling the situation professionally, a female staff member completely lost her temper. She started screaming at us, talked to us terribly, and physically aggressed us and telling us to go away. Given the unprovoked hostility and the way she treated us, I strongly believe her behavior was racially motivated because we are not from America. She tried to physically attack us. Her actions were so completely out of line and unwarranted that even several guests from the private event came over to apologize to us for her deplorable conduct. No one should ever be subjected to discrimination, verbal abuse, or violence over a simple misunderstanding. I highly advise avoiding this place, customer service, safety, and basic respect are completely nonexistent here. To make matters worse, I didn't even say a word to provoke her, she completely misdirected her anger at us just because of other people standing nearby. Being targeted, screamed at, and pushed when you haven't done or said a single thing is completely unhinged. She literally screamed right in our faces: "Hell no! Get the fuck out of here!"

Thankfully, we were able to grab a couch and everyone was super friendly and sweet. We ordered some signature cocktails off the menu and as the night went on, we ordered some tequila shots as well. Instead of lime and salt, they gave us our shots with golden berries and salt and wow. I'm definitely going to be taking my tequila shots with this combo! It was sooooo good. I had been looking forward to visiting Mírate, especially because of its reputation for Mexican…read morespirits and agave. Unfortunately, what happened at the bar left me seriously questioning how their rare spirits are being handled. I originally had a reservation but arrived early and decided to eat at the bar instead. I'm a longtime agave enthusiast, so naturally I spent some time going through their spirits list. I was surprised to see two different iterations of a particularly rare bottle available. One iteration is considerably harder to find than the other, despite them being similarly priced here. Before ordering, I specifically confirmed with both my server and the bartender that they had both versions available, and I made it very clear that I wanted the older, rarer iteration. I already own the other version at home and had no interest in ordering it. They poured me one ounce of the older bottle, and it was excellent. I enjoyed it enough that I ordered another two-ounce pour, at roughly $75 per pour. This is where things became concerning. I watched the bartender attempt to pour from the bottle I had ordered and apparently discover that it was empty. Rather than telling me they were out, they picked up the other, less-rare version--the exact bottle I had specifically said I did not want--and poured two ounces from it. From where I was sitting, I could see what appeared to be a discussion between the bartenders about which bottle was being used, yet the drink was still sent to me without anyone mentioning that they had substituted it. As soon as I smelled the pour, I knew something was different. I asked them to bring me the bottle it had been poured from. Sure enough, it was the other version. I politely declined it and explained again that it wasn't what I had ordered. What happened next concerned me even more. The original bottle that appeared to be empty was taken away from the bar. Approximately 10 minutes later, a completely full bottle of that same rare iteration appeared. There is some important context here: this particular bottle was released in 2023 and was available for a relatively limited period. In all my years of collecting and drinking agave spirits, I have only encountered this particular bottle at a bar twice. When I do find older, discontinued releases like this, it's typically a one-off bottle that's already partially consumed. So seeing an empty bottle disappear into the back and then having what appeared to be another completely full bottle of this same 2023 release come out approximately 10 minutes later immediately caught my attention. Could a restaurant have multiple bottles stored away? Absolutely. But in my personal experience with this particular release, having multiple bottles readily available several years later would be extremely unusual. What made the situation even more concerning was that this supposedly replacement bottle wasn't brought out sealed. It arrived already opened, with the wax around the cork and bottle opening completely removed. I'm very familiar with these bottles, and removing that wax cleanly takes some effort. If this was simply another unopened bottle from their inventory, I don't understand why it wasn't brought to the bar sealed and opened in front of me. That would have immediately resolved any concern. Instead, I had just watched the first bottle run empty, watched them attempt to substitute a different and less-rare version without telling me, watched the empty bottle disappear into the back, and then roughly 10 minutes later a completely full--but already opened--bottle of this difficult-to-find 2023 release appeared. The pour from that bottle also tasted noticeably different to me from the first pour I had received. I want to be very clear: I cannot prove that the bottle was refilled, and I am not stating that as a fact. I can only describe exactly what I personally witnessed. But the entire sequence of events left me with serious concerns about the provenance of what I was being served. For an inexpensive house spirit, this would already be troubling. When you're talking about rare agave spirits being sold at approximately $75 per pour, transparency and provenance matter tremendously. If they truly had another bottle of this rare 2023 release in inventory, bringing the sealed bottle to the bar and opening it in front of me would have eliminated virtually every concern I had. Instead, I left questioning what I had actually been served. For a restaurant that presents itself as knowledgeable and passionate about Mexican spirits, this was extremely disappointing. I went in excited to explore their agave selection and left feeling that I couldn't trust what was being poured. Based on my experience, I would not return for rare or high-end spirits, and I would strongly encourage anyone ordering expensive or difficult-to-find pours here to ask to see the bottle before it is poured.
