Such a cute hotel! Well done to the talented interior designers! A friend stayed here for the Diana Ross Hollywood Bowl experience. Room was nice clean cozy and new. The pool is really cute. The lobby is fantastic and a total vibe! Music rocking always, at night the right side when you enter the hotel turns into a small club type vibe with a DJ! The bar is great and snacks are really good! Get the wings and Caesar salad. Parking across the street for $2/hr which in this area is a steal! Suggest ubering or public transport tho as having a car in Hollywood is rough! Great decor, smart design, appreciate the creators for coming at things from a totally different angle and honoring the energy in this area since House of Blues closed. Vibes yall!

Objectively, Hotel Ziggy is somewhere between 2.5 and 3 stars. It's reasonably priced with a killer location. Staff is friendly and the housekeeping staff and valet service are top notch. The on-site restaurant, Pizza Girl, and live music are real perks. Pool area is fun and quintessential WeHo. However, the hallway carpets and draperies as well as the room coaches and carpets need to be replaced. Both legitimately have a musty, moldy smell which kills the overall vibe. It definitely feels and smells more motel than hotel. Gym is spartan. WiFi is spotty. And parking fee is what you'd expect for the area. TL;DR: Great find if you're on a budget. Upgrade to another property if you've got the dollars to do so.

Cute boutique hotel. This place is in a great location. Sits on Sunset Blvd. It's a music themed hotel with live bands at night. Really good pizza place inside. The bar serves delicious drinks as well . The room wasn't super fancy but it was clean and comfortable. If you are there for a quiet night then this isn't your spot. If you don't mind and want to have fun then check it out!

This hotel is a great concept with a poor execution. The whole idea is supposed to be a venue/music hotel, and they make sure to tell you that when you arrive. Does it look cool when you walk in, yes! Was the staff great, also yes. I read another review putting down the staff, some of the staff is just very LA...they don't have time for that. But if you know what you want, what you need, they are amazing, we were taken care of by the entire staff. However, the live music isn't the reason for the poor rating. It's the fact that whoever built this hotel without soundproofing the walls and floors. Forget hearing music you can hear EVERY step the upstairs customers make. There are NO curtains! They only have shutters to keep out the light, so after staying out late at 6am you better be prepared for sunlight to wake you up. This venue is supposed to cater to people who love music, who come in and enjoy the music here, yet they don't serve food late when people are still here or after a gig. They also don't serve breakfast food past 11am. Yes I know, that's common but again if people are staying out late & getting up later then wouldn't you serve breakfast later to accommodate? They will not clean the room unless you schedule in advance...and the room shows it. It really gave the illusion of clean & it smelled musty when we first arrived. The toiletries are not individually packaged or locked sooo who knows if anyone has put something in that bottle. Although the staff was great, the only way we would ever stay here again is if it was on the top floor.

Our go-to hotel whenever we visit LA. The staff here are always so friendly and professional, I'll feel like I'm cheating if I stay somewhere else. This hotel is in a very convenient location. Not too far of a drive to the Walk of Fame and a walking distance away from restaurants like Pink Tacos and comedy clubs, such as the Laugh Factory. This hotel offers valet parking for $65 a night with in and outs. Yes it was pricey but the valet staff were very friendly and took care of our vehicle while in their possession. Checking in was always smooth with no issues. They offered us free margaritas when we did check in. I believe this comes with the resort perks. I normally book the Swim Up room which is directly next to the pool. The rooms and bathrooms are always clean and well kept. The swimming pool is heated and I just love the ambiance. When it's not busy, you can chill out on any of the comfy seating next to the pool. There is also a small gym on site. I was able to get a quick workout in on the treadmill during my stay. Hotel Ziggy also hosts events on some nights. I haven't attended one yet, but will do so in the future. If you visit their website, there is usually a schedule listed of all their future events. There is so much I want to say, but to keep it short, book a room here if you love good vibes and drinks!

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ziggy! Came to LA for a work trip just for a few days and wanted something with flare in West Hollywood. Hotel Ziggy is clearly inspired by music and the vibes were on point! Absolutely loved the decor around the space and the lounge + bar featuring records and really cool music posters from all kinds of eras. The bar was well-stocked and they served a continental breakfast in the mornings. The pool is badass, although it was too chilly for a dip. Would love to get work done on the bag lounge chairs while sipping on a cocktail by the pool. They host regular live music in the music space. I was worried we'd be able to hear it from our room, but it was no worry at all! We did come out for one of the music nights, although the band + crowd wasn't our vibe, it still seemed like a great space to listen to music. The staff was kind and accommodating. No issues with our room or reservation. The rooms themselves were clean, seemed relatively new, and even included a well stocked mini bar & fridge + snacks. The hotel was in walking distance to a lot of great restaurants, bars & coffee shops and a short drive to a lot of LA hotspots. The only thing I wish they had was an actual restaurant or cafe with food!

We had fun this week here. Great vibe as you walk in until you walk out. Best part was the very hip bar and Lauren who knew us and our tastes instantly. Loved her and the staff. Every day is Margarita hour 3-4 FREE. Ok, now I'm all in. Happy hour followed. Cool pool, smallish rooms.... smaller bathrooms, but all very comfortable. Every Thursday is a night concert and that was epic. When WEHO rocks, it rocks. Also Ziggy is very close to all the great restaurants on Santa Monica and Sunset. Most walkable. My only complaint is the extra hotel charges and $65 a night to park.... I mean c'mon. Also a decent pizza right in the bar area. I will for sure come back for the attitude and mostly the fun vibe.

If you're looking for the ultimate LA vibe--Jackson at Hotel Ziggy is it! From the moment we walked in, we felt like rockstars. The energy is electric, the decor is bold and funky, and the cocktails? Next level. Jackson made our experience unforgettable with amazing service, great recommendations, and an effortless cool that made us feel right at home. Whether you're grabbing drinks, vibing to live music, or just soaking in the scene, this place is a must. Can't wait to come back!

Do NOT get drinks by the pool. They will rip you off!! Maybe it was just because of an event, but who the hell automatically charges tip? And I'm not talking the standard 15-20%. It's almost 40%!! AND they don't tell you tip is included until AFTER they pour. $18 drink was charged as $25, so you're telling me tax & tip was $7?? For 1 drink?? Ludicrous. $12 gin was charged $20. Either greedy ass hotel or greedy bar tenders. Way to screw your customers. In response, NO, patrons were NOT informed that gratuity was included. Tips for drinks is usually $1/drink. 20% for essentially doing very little is outrageous. It's not like a sit down dinner where there's table service.

My friends did not disappoint recommending Short Stories Hotel. My room was a Standard Queen with a small sitting area. The room was nicely sized, with a small bar, safe and refrigerator. A couple of things: some rooms will probably be noisier than others depending on the location. My room was on the 2nd floor and faced the pool area. The back side of the hotel faces apartment homes and that can be a little noisy if they are having a get together outside. Also, the room did not come with an iron or ironing board (this is a need for me), however the front desk will bring one to your room if you request it. This is a smaller property, with a lobby bar that also serves food. There is a great outdoor seating/courtyard area where guests can enjoy some quiet time reading, or at times having a drink and socializing - they also offer free coffee and tea each morning. The pool area is smaller than most hotels, but it fits well with the rest of the decor. The front desk had someone there 24/7 and they were great as far as offering suggestions on places to eat, how far some things were, etc. I felt pretty safe staying in this hotel and had no problems coming back from a night out, or getting an uber quickly. They also offer valet parking if you have a car. This property sits on Fairfax directly across the street from The Farmer's Market and the Grove shopping center. It is walking distance to shopping, restaurants, museums, and a short Uber to the La Brea Tar Pits and Melrose area shopping. If you get a chance, head to the Fairfax open Marketplace which is about a mile away from the hotel. Open each Sunday, is has many local vendors selling everything from clothes, candles, music, home decor items, etc. This hotel was a little over $300 per night, but the location made it worth every penny. I walked most places and had a short Uber ride to other areas. When I come back to Los Angeles, I will stay there again - I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this property.

So I called the front desk to ask for new bath towels, waited for an hour.. didn't come. Called again waited another 30 mins, still never come. On the check out day, one of the staff was banging the door when I was in the shower. Which was ridiculous because I talked to the front desk the night before that I am going to have late check out. I was rushing to wear my clothes to answer the door, and realised he already opened my room door. Which means, luckily i was dressed.. if not, he would see me naked. And I feel this is super disrespectful! Why would u open someone's door without permission? Then the whole conversation he was so rude, with an attitude, said I didn't have late check out, late check out is not guarantee and only gave me 10 mins to leave the room and will have penalty. I was shocked. At the end when I check out. I was asking for the staff's name who is kicking people out. And the front desk was trying to cover up for him and said they don't know who that is. I am like.. Come on, how could you not know your coworker's name? So they finally gave me a name " Johnathan" which I don't know if they made it up or not. But anyways, this is the experience I had in this hotel. Definitely not recommend this hotel because of the service and cleaningness for this price.

I will not be coming back. First of all, this hotel isn't conducive to getting great service. The service is terrible, nonexistent and slow everywhere. If you go on the rooftop to have a drink or snack, be prepared to have a single server trying to run th entire rooftop. You might wait 20 minutes+ to get basic things like a menu, place your order, get your check. It is INSANELY bad. Additionally, my wife is pregnant and has some dietary constraints. We ordered some food delivered to the hotel and they wouldn't let us bring "outside food" to enjoy on the rooftop. LOL. Mind you, we also tried to enjoy a snack and drink on the rooftop earlier in the week and they were having a private party, so that foiled our plans as well. Another time at the roof, they were closed even though they were supposed to be open in the morning. Absolute shambles and unacceptable. This hotel also has very little general seating / lounge areas. It is basically nonexistent, unless you consider a few seats outside by the parking lot next to La Cienega traffic whizzing by at 200 decibels every second "lounge area." Let's talk about the gym Peloton bikes that are falling apart (safety hazard, btw), Tonal machines that NOBODY wants to use, etc. and a tiny free weight section where only one person can realistically work out at any given time. Literally, one of the worst hotel gyms I've ever seen anywhere. Completely NOT functional. Okay, now let's talk about the parking. $75/night just to park your car. This is even higher than what it used to be. Insane additional hotel fees and charges - you'd think this is a dying Las Vegas casino hotel based on the fees and charges they add onto everything. Nickel and diming you and you get nothing in return. This hotel is an absolute joke and I cannot recommend it whatsoever. Let's not forget the rooms feel terribly outdated and OLD.

The villas looked adorable as well, and I would love to stay in one on a future visit. We were nervous about finding a place we loved in LA since we usually stay in the Irvine/Newport Beach area, but this hotel is now our favorite spot in Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

This is the perfect place for anyone visiting Hollywood and its environs, especially if they want seclusion, hipster vibes, and luxury all in one. While I haven't stayed in a room or villa here, I have spent time on the sprawling property and explored its nooks and crannies. The public areas are clean and retro (think '60s, mostly, to my mind) and note the music industry nods at every turn. I will let my photos do more of the talking. The parking is either valet, right in front, or on the street. The vegetation is almost tropical and there is shade from beautiful mature trees on all sides. You will be close to the action while enjoying a sanctuary from the glitsy-glam chaos that is legion in this part of Los Angeles. If I wanted a cool getaway, this would be near the top of my own list.

This is one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had…read more I stayed at Andaz on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, expecting a high standard from a Hyatt property. The room itself was excellent, but the overall experience was severely damaged by a serious valet incident. On my last day, I handed my luggage to valet staff before breakfast and also gave them my car key to retrieve my vehicle, as valet parking was the only option at $75 per day. After breakfast, I drove off and later realized my luggage was not in the trunk. I immediately returned to the hotel and found that my luggage had been mistakenly placed in another guest's vehicle. The lobby manager initially reviewed security footage and attempted to contact the driver, but communication quickly became slow and inconsistent over the following weeks. I later followed up in person again, but progress remained unclear and delayed. More than three weeks passed without resolution, and it appeared that contact with the driver had been lost. We then had to escalate the issue to Hyatt headquarters before the claims process finally moved forward. The entire process, from late February to the end of April, was extremely slow. What was most disappointing was not just the initial mistake, but the lack of urgency, poor coordination, and unclear communication throughout the recovery and claims process. I understand errors can happen, but I paid for valet service and expected proper responsibility and follow-through. My luggage contained luxury clothing, cosmetics, medication, and essentials for relocation. The handling of this situation significantly worsened an already stressful incident. I hope Hyatt takes this feedback seriously and improves its valet accountability and crisis response process.

Created an account via their website and booked a 1 night stay in the City King suite. $417 after taxes and including valet = $617. (Sat/Sun) LOVED their eco friendly vibe and thoughtfulness in the design of the property. Even down to the glass cups for complimentary water. Our room keys were wooden chips, the flooring material in the elevators were soft and cushion-y (so unique), real plants placed throughout the property- even in your room, free rides via their Audi vehicles (3 mile radius) and so much more. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in. Probably took no more than 10 mins. Valet was $75. Pets however stay for free! (So awesome) We ended up on the 10th floor and found a bottle of prosecco in the room to start the celebrations. The room was super clean, eco-friendly and the view was beautiful. Bedding was comfy and so was the additional couch in the room. Amenities were bomb and fridge options were too good! (Good brands) The lounge at check in was such a vibe with dim lighting. Sat there a few times (evening and morning) to just relax and enough the ambiance. Hotel was super lively with guests and community. There was a dj one evening and they seem to have a lot of wellness activities and offers which was nice to see. There's a breakfast spot right next to checkin (we didn't try) and a complimentary fresh fruit stand in the mornings. The architecture of the property is so beautiful and you can tell they really care for it (and the plants!) The grand stairs were my favorite be sure to take some pics in the evening - the glow is to good. Will definitely be back. I'm a fan!

Is this the "best" Best Western? Well, it might be. But it is still a Best Western…read more The location, smack dab in the middle of the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, is incredible which is why you are not paying typical Best Western prices. It is situated literally next to the Sunset Tower Hotel which is a celebrity hotspot and extremely expensive. The Andaz Hotel is across the street and Saddle Ranch and the famous Comedy Store are maybe a one or two minute walk away. The room was very nice and the bathroom was good-sized. The shower was also excellent (except the body wash in the wall dispenser was empty--hey, it's a Best Western, did you expect perfection?). There is a free continental breakfast and it is fine. The pool is good-sized but there were no towels available when we arrived. Again...this ain't the Beverly Hills Hotel. The self-parking garage is on the other side of the property and is connected to the hotel. Be aware: some rooms, like ours, overlooked Sunset Boulevard. Sunset Boulevard is extremely loud, especially at night. If that may disturb you, ask for a room facing the other way. Unfortunately, the worst thing going for this hotel is the clientele. Yes, this is a budget hotel chain but the prices you pay at this particular spot are far higher solely because of its location. Sadly, some of the guests were incredibly noisy and rude and apparently, smoking at the pool is perfectly acceptable. I could give other unfortunate examples. So this pricier budget hotel still attracts a very budget crowd. Would I stay here again? If I wanted to be in this location without paying $500 or more a night, yes.

This was my fourth stay at Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel, and it just keeps getting better…read more The hotel was recently remodeled, and the transformation is beautiful. The rooms feel modern, fresh, and incredibly clean, with a cozy boutique vibe that you wouldn't normally associate with a Best Western. In fact, when you think of "Best Western," this is definitely not what comes to mind -- it feels more like a charming, stylish boutique hotel tucked right into the heart of West Hollywood. I stayed on the third floor with easy access to the backyard pool area, and it was such a relaxing setup. The little patio and pool space are absolutely beautiful -- peaceful, well-kept, and perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making the whole stay feel warm and inviting. They also offer breakfast, which is such a great bonus, and the manager is truly amazing -- welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring about guests' experiences. Even though there are much fancier hotels nearby, I would choose this one again in a heartbeat. It feels personal, cozy, and special. I'll absolutely be coming back over and over again.
