I had never heard of this spot until about two weeks ago. We came out to Hotel Ziggy to support my wife's cousin, Sovory, as we have been doing for decades now. Advertised as "LA's newest music venue." That would be Backbeat, their very intimate club space. We arrived early, your best bet for parking is on site valet; $22 until 11pm, then you're looking at another $10. If you're booking a room for the night we're talking $70 per night! There is another lot across the street at $2 an hour. Good luck finding anything there though; we tried. There is a very nice sized dining space next to the bar; pizza, burgers, sandwiches, wings, fries. Order and they'll bring it to your table, even inside the music venue. I went with the Amore Italian Burger and fries. While the wife had the Cali Chicken Sandwich. We both enjoyed our food although we thought the garlic aioli was a bit intense. The fries were perfect! We sat through the soundcheck and finally around 9:15 it was showtime! Many additional chairs and tables as well as several sofas had been placed and this small venue got filled to the max. For the Mrs., this show got a bit emotional when her cousin mentioned her and her mom being huge influences on his music; the numerous hours he spent visiting as a child. Absolutely love this hotel. Everything about it is my kind of vibe. I like the low lighting in the lobby, the sculptures, the music vibes. The valet guy was really cool, but parking is expensive. People inside were really fun. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. If you don't want music and loudness, this might not be your place. But if you do, stay here! The location is excellent, right on the sunset strip. You can walk down to the comedy clubs, the music venues, most less than a mile. If you have to take an Uber, it won't cost too much. The pool area is really fun. They have events here so you might not even have to leave the hotel to experience the LA/Hollywood vibe. What more can I say? I love it. I love it. I love it. read more

Such a cute hotel! Well done to the talented interior designers! A friend stayed here for the Diana Ross Hollywood Bowl experience. Room was nice clean cozy and new. The pool is really cute. The lobby is fantastic and a total vibe! Music rocking always, at night the right side when you enter the hotel turns into a small club type vibe with a DJ! The bar is great and snacks are really good! Get the wings and Caesar salad. Parking across the street for $2/hr which in this area is a steal! Suggest ubering or public transport tho as having a car in Hollywood is rough! Objectively, Hotel Ziggy is somewhere between 2.5 and 3 stars. It's reasonably priced with a killer location. Staff is friendly and the housekeeping staff and valet service are top notch. The on-site restaurant, Pizza Girl, and live music are real perks. Pool area is fun and quintessential WeHo. However, the hallway carpets and draperies as well as the room coaches and carpets need to be replaced. Both legitimately have a musty, moldy smell which kills the overall vibe. It definitely feels and smells more motel than hotel. Gym is spartan. WiFi is spotty. And parking fee is what you'd expect for the area. TL;DR: Great find if you're on a budget. Upgrade to another property if you've got the dollars to do so. read more

This hotel is a great concept with a poor execution. The whole idea is supposed to be a venue/music hotel, and they make sure to tell you that when you arrive. Does it look cool when you walk in, yes! Was the staff great, also yes. I read another review putting down the staff, some of the staff is just very LA...they don't have time for that. But if you know what you want, what you need, they are amazing, we were taken care of by the entire staff. However, the live music isn't the reason for the poor rating. It's the fact that whoever built this hotel without soundproofing the walls and floors. Forget hearing music you can hear EVERY step the upstairs customers make. There are NO curtains! They only have shutters to keep out the light, so after staying out late at 6am you better be prepared for sunlight to wake you up. This venue is supposed to cater to people who love music, who come in and enjoy the music here, yet they don't serve food late when people are still here or after a gig. They also don't serve breakfast food past 11am. Yes I know, that's common but again if people are staying out late & getting up later then wouldn't you serve breakfast later to accommodate? They will not clean the room unless you schedule in advance...and the room shows it. It really gave the illusion of clean & it smelled musty when we first arrived. The toiletries are not individually packaged or locked sooo who knows if anyone has put something in that bottle. Our go-to hotel whenever we visit LA. The staff here are always so friendly and professional, I'll feel like I'm cheating if I stay somewhere else. This hotel is in a very convenient location. Not too far of a drive to the Walk of Fame and a walking distance away from restaurants like Pink Tacos and comedy clubs, such as the Laugh Factory. This hotel offers valet parking for $65 a night with in and outs. Yes it was pricey but the valet staff were very friendly and took care of our vehicle while in their possession. Checking in was always smooth with no issues. They offered us free margaritas when we did check in. I believe this comes with the resort perks. I normally book the Swim Up room which is directly next to the pool. The rooms and bathrooms are always clean and well kept. The swimming pool is heated and I just love the ambiance. When it's not busy, you can chill out on any of the comfy seating next to the pool. There is also a small gym on site. I was able to get a quick workout in on the treadmill during my stay. Hotel Ziggy also hosts events on some nights. I haven't attended one yet, but will do so in the future. If you visit their website, there is usually a schedule listed of all their future events. There is so much I want to say, but to keep it short, book a room here if you love good vibes and drinks! read more

This is a great addition to the Sunset Strip. The rooms are well priced for the location. The theme of this hotel is music and it's a very cool vibe. There is a pool, which also has a gorgeous backdrop of LA in the distance from the main floor lobby. One thing to note is that if you stay here on a Friday or Saturday night, expect a full on loud club experience. There main bar blasts music late into the night. Interestingly, my room was far away and didn't get the loud thumps from the hotel bar. Rather, it got the loud thumps from Skybar, located right outside my room. Overall, the rooms are mostly insulated but not totally. You will definitely hear the loud club music at night. It is not a very work-friendly hotel as the rooms have no actual desk and the wifi was spotty at best. Come here for a relaxing getaway, not to work. Each day, they have a cocktail hour, which I didn't get to experience, where you get free margaritas from 3-4 PM. I did love the restaurant on site. The pizza was delicious and I got to meet the business owner. Finally, the free morning coffee was such a perk. I must have had about 5 cups each day during my stay. It was great coffee, too. Even though it's not the most modern hotel and has it's drawbacks, I would totally stay here again. It's a great value with a fun, cool vibe. read more

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ziggy! Came to LA for a work trip just for a few days and wanted something with flare in West Hollywood. Hotel Ziggy is clearly inspired by music and the vibes were on point! Absolutely loved the decor around the space and the lounge + bar featuring records and really cool music posters from all kinds of eras. The bar was well-stocked and they served a continental breakfast in the mornings. The pool is badass, although it was too chilly for a dip. Would love to get work done on the bag lounge chairs while sipping on a cocktail by the pool. They host regular live music in the music space. I was worried we'd be able to hear it from our room, but it was no worry at all! We did come out for one of the music nights, although the band + crowd wasn't our vibe, it still seemed like a great space to listen to music. The staff was kind and accommodating. No issues with our room or reservation. The rooms themselves were clean, seemed relatively new, and even included a well stocked mini bar & fridge + snacks. The hotel was in walking distance to a lot of great restaurants, bars & coffee shops and a short drive to a lot of LA hotspots. We had fun this week here. Great vibe as you walk in until you walk out. Best part was the very hip bar and Lauren who knew us and our tastes instantly. Loved her and the staff. Every day is Margarita hour 3-4 FREE. Ok, now I'm all in. Happy hour followed. Cool pool, smallish rooms.... smaller bathrooms, but all very comfortable. Every Thursday is a night concert and that was epic. When WEHO rocks, it rocks. Also Ziggy is very close to all the great restaurants on Santa Monica and Sunset. Most walkable. My only complaint is the extra hotel charges and $65 a night to park.... I mean c'mon. Also a decent pizza right in the bar area. Let me start by saying that this hotel is run down and very poorly operated. When checking in, the woman at the front desk spent 5 minutes preparing us for the noise due to them being a venue as well. However, the real noise issues where not from the events at all, it was due to their staff. The staff was so loud during all times of the day and night. All in hotel ziggy uniforms. Also, the DAF includes free water but when we asked for a water bottle at the front desk for our morning walk we were told no and to just use the plastic cups and water dispenser. The beds are so uncomfortable and don't even come with a comforter, you get two thin sheets. The valet costs $65 a night(valet told us it was just $65 for our stay) and we can't even call our car ahead of time. Instead you have to wait outside in the cold until they can bring it up. The margarita happy hour is a joke, they are bright blue margarita that taste so bad. Lastly, they price gouge you with all these different taxes that are not transparent enough. We stayed in the corner room floor 3 The good: - hip music vibe - level 3 is the ground floor, so easy in and out - easy access to sunset strip - no noise issues - room was clean and design of bathroom was thoughtful: The handle is on the opposite side of the showerhead, the rainfall showerhead is soothing, the shower door is two way for opening and closing. - room has design furniture, and the window opens a crack for cool air. the shutters close decently to block out light but curtains would be better - if you ask, they'll replace towels for you. Cleaning must be scheduled 24h in advance - a modest gym onsite (but watch your knuckles in putting back the weights due to poor design) - touch reading lights with led and soft lighting - easy USB plug in for charging - large desk for study, TV in room but didn't use. - The cons: - the mattress seemed to have collapsed springs or is old bc it dipped in the middle and almost killed my back and I'm in my 30s and fit. I thought maybe it was soft but it must just be old. Literally no support - room cleaning must be scheduled 24h in advance - Parking is only valet at 65/night with in and out privileges unlimited - they have no filtered water bottle station but they do have a glass water dispenser in the lobby that is filled regularly. Kinda hard to get water bottle in depending on size - the lobby smells old like a used clothing thrift store but the room smelled normal - there is a pool but no hot tub - mini fridge in our room is rickety - the mini AC in the room is LOUD even on the lowest setting. I would recommend staying ANYWHERE else on Sunset Strip. I bet the pricing for this hotel compared to others in the area is cheaper -- but please know it's cheaper for a reason. And it's not good. I stayed three nights while my place nearby was getting work done. NEVER AGAIN. Room was a good size! Bed was okay. Staff was nice. To park there overnight costs $65 and there's only ONE valet. And they say it takes between 5 - 25 minutes to get your car since there's only one valet. You cannot call downstairs to ask for it earlier -- you have to go down to talk to the valet to get your car. You have to request 1 day prior to have your room cleaned because they have a square footage cleaning allotment everyday. The walls are PAPER thin at best. I heard every noise from neighbors upstairs and next door. It's a party motel. I wouldn't even stop in there to have a drink. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

When we heard we'd be staying at a rockin' hotel little did we know we'd be staying at such an awesome place! Hotel Ziggy is in a prime location, nestled in the heart of the Sunset Strip you are literally within walking distance or a short ride to many local live music venues and eateries. We arrived around 4pm and things started out a bit rough at 1st. There was only one valet working and there is no option for self parking. Line was about a block plus long Check-in went well (way smoother than the valet situation). Louie was fabulous and made sure check-in went quickly and the rest of the staff was super friendly and helpful. They had our keys and everything ready to go so we could go put our stuff in our room. We had the opportunity to hang out in the lobby listening to live music from about 9-midnight (some really talented young adults) Friday night. Saturday morning we had coffee in the lobby (compliments of the hotel). Again staff was exceptional! Everyone was amazing! Thet have a pretty kick ass pool where there is live music during the Summer. The rooms are nice, very comfortable and roomy and the bathroom is small but nice. While I didn't stay at the hotel, a group of my friends and I went to see our friends band perform. Let me tell you, this hotel has the most incredible style from inside out. They let the music blast throughout the lobby to the pool deck and it had good vibes all around. Beware. I've visited Hotel Ziggy numerous times for events, but my recent stay left much to be desired. Previously, I experienced rude staff and dealt with excessive charges, so this time I used a card with a limit to prevent that. I took timestamped photos to document any potential issues. Despite the deposit made online, they insisted on another deposit because my card had to be processed via chip. I had a Red Bull, a Coca-Cola, and a bottle of water from the minibar, which somehow totaled to $147.30 I paid for breakfast and drinks separately with my card instead of my room key to monitor charges. However, I'm somehow still being charged on two different cards when I only used one, as the chip on the other 'supposedly' didn't work. This place is all together just under performing, underwhelming and as of now under investigation by my bank. Try to steer clear from here. There are better options out there for $350 a night. More elaborate review: At check-in, I expect to be at least welcomed within five minutes, especially when the host is right in front of you at the computer. I don't mind waiting, but a simple acknowledgment would've been appreciated. My first impression was disappointing. When I asked the gentleman to check me in, he just said, "ID please," as if I were being pulled over by a cop. The next day, I asked the manager if I could park my car past 3pm since I attended both events the night before as well as the following night, and I also needed a new room key because I left mine downstairs at breakfast. He got super defensive with me about the parking situation and had a trainee verify my identity, whispering questions to him. He then said my credit card didn't match the one on file, although it should have. I used a different card at check-in because their chip reader was malfunctioning. Eventually, I discovered through the manager's slip-up that he didn't even have the authority to help me with my parking question. In reality, it was simply a conversation between the valet and me since the valet service is a third-party provider. It was clear the manager had no idea what he was talking about. The valet was more than willing to work with me and I got my key but Lord this staff will go the extra mile to make your stay here miserable. read more

If you've ever stayed at Grafton then you know Hotel Ziggy. Good location on Strip close to whatever touristy stuff people who stay in WeHo are lookin for. Stayed on a recent Monday night for a business trip. Nice welcoming front desk/bar/restaurant area. Drinks were fairly priced but i didn't try their food. Seemed like quite a few people were ordering so imagine it must be better than decent. Front desk seemed a little clueless but they were trying while stumbling their way thru the check in process. Room was a nice refresh of the Grafton rooms. Not much different than before other than the colour schemes thru out the room/property and some newish furniture but all good for a quick stay. Some RnR memorabilia decorated thru out but came off like a c -level Hard Rock. Posters from shows i've booked in LA over my career which made me smile. They've moved the bar area to left side of Hotel. Not sure what's on right side of lobby but as it was a Monday there was no live music. Maybe the live music is on the right side? Actual hotel room was an "upgrade" on 2nd floor overlooking pool. seemed like a regular room but maybe the view was the upgrade? No real complaints but the bathroom was tiny. Room to shower/shit/shave and thats it. Bar was closed by the time i came back to hotel around 11pm so i just went to room to sleep. Had a nice experience in general UNTIL check out. What a joke!! Guy working the front desk came running out of the hote, while i was waiting for the driver saying the credit card i put down the night before was declined. Seemed weird but ok, came back in and gave him another, declined. gave him a 3rd, declined. Gave him a 4th, declined. Pointed out that i checked in night before with same card i'd used to make the reservation some weeks ago. No way would that cc and 4 other cards be declined so tried to explain the error was on his side as he obviously didn't know how to use the credit card machine. Was beyond frustrated by this point as he'd caused me to miss my car service and i was now in danger of missing my flight. Knew my cards were all fine so told front desk guy i'd go to bank and get cash to pay but that was a lie. Decided to just leave and they could charge the card on file despite this clueless individual claiming it was declined. Flew back to Vegas and checked my credit card activity. Was charged $496 ($259 room + $150 incidentals) on Monday night when i checked in then credited $495 on Tuesday AM. Was then charged $259 (the price of room w/ tax+fees) all on the card the front desk guy said was declined. The guy working the desk was an absolute waste man . Clueless and in way over his head trying to check someone out. Pretty sure he doubled as the bar back when not working front desk. Hotel Ziggy - your FOH staff is untrained and some quite rude. You need to fire some people and train the others. $259 is a good rate for a Monday stay in WeHo but the hassle wasn't worth it. Hope they work out the kinks or they will be out of business. Went to an event hosted here and I was really impressed! Hotel Ziggy is in a prime location in West Hollywood; there may not be a ton of parking nearby, but it's on Sunset Strip so there are lots of places nearby to check out. The vibe of this place is immaculate. The decor here is reminiscent of an artist hostel in Barcelona: bohemian furniture and artwork adorns the restaurant area and the pool, which is where some of the rooms are situated, motel-style. There's even a neon sign saying "B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe." Welcome to LA. The staff was really kind during the event, handling drink requests and food orders with panache and patience, in spite of the crowd. The drinks are reaaaaally expensive (~$20 a drink), but I don't want to penalize Ziggy itself for this, as it may have been a policy for the event. The food was good and reasonably priced. The event included some live music in the lobby, which was visually accessible from most common areas of the Ziggy. The stage was rigged well and the clientele (artists and start-up people, if I had to venture a guess) were enjoying the fey ambiance of the place. The pool looked nice lit up at night and there are places to lounge nearby; I had a great time overall and would love to come back soon! read more

The food at Hotek Ziggy is. A ok. It's nothing to write home about, but definitely solid. The pirtions are generous. In fact., I could have easily share my American breakfast. The house made chicken apple sausage is really good.As ar the hash browns (super cruspy) and the biscuit ( great crumb). The Cacio Pepe pizza and Truffle fries from the night before were similarly generous. I guess my criticism is the food is all kind of plain. Nothing really stands out. So nothing will amaze you, but you shouldn't t be too disappointed either. They are also really slow. I suspect thet are understaffed, which would contribute to the slow part. I don't even know where to start!!!! I arrived at Hotel Ziggy with a broken wing, and left tap dancing out the door. From the time arrived Kevin greeted me when I walked in at 11pm as if I was a family member, the valet team was incredible, Devon helped me a lot, the food was delicious. One of my favorite was the chicken sliders, I added a little barbecue sauce omgggg, the bartenders and servers (I wish I knew all of their names) couldn't have been any nicer to me, I almost felt like somebody called ahead and said be extra nice to Davi. I was on a needed 5 day staycation, and I'm so glad I chose Hotel Ziggy to be my home for those 5 days. To close me out, and trust me I truly hated to leave. Although the sign is pretty big this hotel is very easy to miss with all the lights, traffic and it being right next door to a big hotel. Felt very cool, Amsterdam young and cool inside. Friendly staff as well. Nice, bright, clean, inviting lobby. Clean rooms, bathroom was good, clean, just enough space. Awkward shower door. Lol I wish I stayed longer and got to experience the pool with a drink and music. It was very pretty. I'd stay again. The price could definitely be cheaper. This is a very nice 3 star hotel. I have seen the rooms before and after the renovation/name change and they are nicer post-reno (obviously), but it's really just cosmetics. The beds are still pretty uncomfortable, the bathroom was poorly laid out and small. The best part about this place is the staff. They are all incredibly nice and friendly, we had so many nice conversations with the guys working at the bar and valet. This is a weird review to write because I did enjoy my stay! I stayed for 6 nights. The issue is considering what I spent to stay here, I could have paid the same to stay at the Mondrian next door. Their rooms are much nicer, roomier, have more light/windows, spacious bathrooms just more of a 4-star/upscale hotel feel overall. After checking in to hotel ziggy I just couldn't get the mondrian out of my head knowing the similar costs. I just thought Ziggy would be nicer considering they are labeled as a 4-star hotel now, but I was pretty disappointed. I will not be staying here again however I will still visit the bar for live music (while I am staying next door) and to chat with all the kind people there. Water pressure rating: 7/10 read more

I hate hotels that just suck you dry of money. This place is already pricey and on top of that they charge you $65 a night to keep your car there. Insane! The food and drinks in the room are out of control expensive. Like $20 for some nuts. Seriously? Also there's a lotion that's been used by guests before that's offered for you to take for $35 meanwhile half the bottle is gone. I do have to say the men working the front desk were amazing. That was the one upside. But in addition to all the expenses you do not get what you pay for. The hotel smells in so many different areas we were disgusted. It needs a lot of TLC and upgrades. I love everything about this Hotel! The food, the room, the pool, and the music!!! The location the hospitality are just amazing! My husband and I stayed 2 nights for a staycation in WeHo and we really didn't need to leave the hotel! This is a one stop shop! The cocktails are fantastic! Shout out to Tobin on taking great care of us! We will be back. read more
