Ok so this place was soo hard to find lol. From their tik tok I got that they just moved to a new…read morelocation so I go the address from there and even google maps gave me the same address but there was no signage that a tattoo place even existed once I got there. The shop is located inside a business building, like a corporate looking building. Maps just brings you to this building but nowhere on the sign outside does it say tatoo shop. It was hard to find where the doors where and I keep driving in circles. I then went back to check the address and it gave me and address further up north 5 minutes away. It was a bad address and it took me to an industrial park, lol no tattoo shop there either. So I gave it one last go and it took me back to place number one. This time I circled the building in my car looking for a sign or something and through one of the doors a saw a pink neon glow and figure thats where it was. I parked my car and went in and found it haha! Its tucked away in a corner, look for the pink glow coming out of the window. The sign next to the door says DHOI or some kind of acronym. Once inside I was welcomed and asked what I was getting, I mentioned i was there for the piercing special. I gave them my ID and I got started on filling out my paperwork. They did go over how there was a $10 shop fee on top of what I was gonna pay for the piercings I was getting, ***********exact change or debit**************** because they dont have change. So ok whatever, I paid, I sign in and they called me shortly. The piercer called me in asked what I wanted and started prepping. I noticed she had brought her son to the shop and he was cute as a button playing with his notebook and coloring set. The decoration inside was nice and welcoming. There are two big couches in the middle of the office space and all around them are different booths where each tattoo artists works out of. Above each work station they had the name of that tattooer in a neon pink sing, very cute. They did have some soft music playing in the speakers but it was low enough where you did not feel like you were at a club. There was a TV in the corner playing rick and morty so that was cool. I was done with my piercings and I paid in cash, got back out the same way I came from and thats it. I was honestly expecting a huge line and a big wait because I seen other people tagging this shop on their tik toks and reading the comments saying they waited hours to be seen. It could also be that they went on a weekend and I was there on a tuesday soo who knows,, also new location. I have yet to get a tattoo from this place but I am hoping that will change soon as they have a few things off the flash sheet that I want. Other than finding the place I did not have any bad experience in this shop. My piercings are healing along so far. Come support a small local business that is black women owned and also voted one of the top tattoo shops in Dallas (even tho now they are in addison).

We met Sage when we walked into the shop and he immediately greeted us! He introduced himself, was really patient with me and answered all of my questions. We booked an appointment for a later date so my sister and I could get our tattoos done at the same time. My sisters artist was Maria and mine was Sage. At the appointment, Sage was amazing, he put me at ease, talked me through the whole process and helped me deal with my anxiety around getting my first tattoo. After he started working and I realized it didn't hurt at all, I relaxed and everything went great! The art looks amazing, and both my sister and I are really happy! However, I believe I was charged an extra $200 (it was $200 per hour) just off the 30 minutes spent on consultation, which I don't think is worth it at all. I asked about this and I was told they charge by the hour and so even if the time spent on me in total was only around 2.5 hrs, I'd still be charged for the full 3rd hour. The time spent on my tattoo definitely took a little less than 2 hours, and I don't think I should be paying $600 for my tattoo. I understand it is pretty big in size but the design is simple with no shading, no fills, just lineart... when my friend got a full arm sleeve AND it's shaded for only around $500 at his place. P.S. I got my tattoo last year. I've just recently been looking through other tattoo services thinking of getting a new one and thought of leaving a review for this shop.

The shop is unassuming on the outside but it's so cute inside and much larger than it appeared outside. Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted by Cali and we got started. Shout out to Cali, she was friendly, professional, gentle with my ears and she answered all my questions about future piercings I'd like. Pain was minimal and the process went pretty quickly. During the session, she was kind and worked with me on placement, and the tattoo was pretty painless. It looked great walking out the door. Within two months, it had visibly faded. I have several fine line tattoos on my hands and the back of my arm, so I know exactly how this style heals and ages, none of my other pieces (some years old) have ever faded like this. When I reached out about it, I was told fading like this was "normal" and that I'd have to pay out of pocket for a touch-up. That's not been my experience with fine line work elsewhere, and other artists have told me they'd touch up their own work for free within six months if it faded. Paying again to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place isn't something I'd recommend signing up for.

However, It was important to me that I find someone who was not only great at penmanship, but also at tattooing darker skin tone; and Eli was that person for me because his work was just breathtaking. On the day of my appointment I arrived early because his previous appointment canceled and he was already working on the stencils for the tattoos, so I didn't have to wait long. Both tattoos took maybe 10 minutes and didn't hurt me because they were my 7th and 8th ones, also Will is very fast but detailed in his craft. He also charges a great price. I will certainly be only going to him for my new/retouched ink from now on. Additionally, this shop is very clean and have some cool art on the walls. The moment you walk in you're greeted by a member of the staff. They were some of the friendliest people I've ever met, especially from a tattoo parlor! Maybe my prior experiences were more rugged but it was an unexpected, but pleasant change of pace. After the guest artist finished my piece I connected with one of their resident artists, Andy and he was able to squeeze me in for a touch up (cover up-reworking) of a 20+ year old tattoo I had. The work is beautiful and I can't wait to see it fully healed. All of their artists are super talented. And again, the staff and atmosphere of this place floored me.
