Found this tattoo shop through a guest artist from Korea and I can't tell yall how impressed I was by the welcoming atmosphere and staff! The moment you walk in you're greeted by a member of the staff. They were some of the friendliest people I've ever met, especially from a tattoo parlor! Maybe my prior experiences were more rugged but it was an unexpected, but pleasant change of pace. After the guest artist finished my piece I connected with one of their resident artists, Andy and he was able to squeeze me in for a touch up (cover up-reworking) of a 20+ year old tattoo I had. The work is beautiful and I can't wait to see it fully healed. All of their artists are super talented. And again, the staff and atmosphere of this place floored me. Everyone is hyping each other up, curious on what the clients are getting etc it was just a feeling of family, welcoming and acceptance I can't fully put into words. Very nice and clean establishment. From the person at the front to getting tatted by Sal! It was a nice experience. They offered water while we waited on Sal (walk-ins) and got a HUGE bottle of sparkling water! Sal was amazing! Easy to talk to! Funny as hell and light handed. Restroom was huge and very clean. Best. Tattoo. Shop. Ever. I have tons a of tattoos and I'm used to having to deal with crazy loud metal music, difficult artists and intimidating environments. Singleton is the oposite in every way. I was offered a Topo Chico and a coffee when I came in the shop inside is super cool and vibey . Ejay (he and his wife Victoria own the shop) did full sleeve for me and since then I've gone back and gotten tattoos by Caleb and my wife got a little tattoo done by Sailor Rose and had her nose pierced here! Don't be afraid to drop in and ask question if you want to get work done. They treat people well and do GREAT work. read more

Such a great place to get a tattoo. I've gotten two tattoos from Ejay (who owns the shop with his wife Victoria) and both times I had a great experience. I admired Ejay's work for a couple of years before finally taking the plunge and getting my first tattoo, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ejay made me feel super comfortable, and my first tattoo has healed beautifully (just got the second one yesterday). The shop itself is awesome (big, clean, bright, good music that's not too loud), and the people are super welcoming. My first tattoo was an appointment, but the second was just a walk in during their advent calendar event and I was able to get right in. I highly recommend both Ejay and the shop. I'll definitely be back again. read more

Beautiful work from artists, friendly and clean nice studio. However, I booked with a newer artist/apprentice who said that the booking reservation deposit was $100. I assumed the deposit would go towards the total tattoo or be reversed, but was charged on top of the hourly rate. In the studio, the artist misunderstood when I asked about the deposit and said it would automatically reverse, and when I called later the staff said the charge should have gone to the total tattoo cost. After clarification with the artist, she said it's actually an additional charge, which is not a deposit... Beware the deposit is not a true deposit, and actually an additional charge. Clarify all the costs if you are booking with an artist!! I was disappointed since the work itself was great. read more

Ejay, Caleb, and Rosa are top notch. Very personable and fantastic artists. I was recommended to Ejay by several coworkers and am extremely pleased with the work he has completed so far on a sleeve he and I are working on. It's been 25 years since my last tattoo, I am pushing 50. I am so thankful to have found Singleton Tattoo and Ejay Bernal otherwise I may have never started on the piece we are currently working on. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING, I am a tattoo artist myself so I know exactly what to look for in a good shop. First of all, I was impressed the moment I walked in, it's extremely clean and beautifully decorated. I was greeted immediately with great customer service, a staff member offered me some water and I felt at ease waiting for my artist, Sal. I can confirm the waiver covers everything that follows Texas tattoo health standards to a T. It was my first time meeting Sal and he was so kind, friendly, and funny, and I felt so relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Every staff member I spoke to was extremely friendly and fun to talk to. Sal did a beautiful job on the tattoo, made sure I wasn't in too much pain, and took his time to wrap up my hand well. I will definitely be coming back here again and highly recommend this place. It sets the gold standard for what makes a good tattoo shop for sure. :) read more

I went here on the recommendation of others. I walked in and spoke to Enrique, @ejaytattoo. He pressured me into leaving a deposit then explained he charges 300.00 an hour. I asked how long it would take, in order to set realistic goals and expectations. He said 3+ hours, equaling close to 1,000.00 for a dollar sized tattoo, granted it was a cover up but, yeah, that wasn't in my budget. So, I informed him that I would like to cancel my appointment and I asked if my deposit was refundable? That was 5 days ago and I have not received a response. He has not replied to any of my texts or DM'S. He has read them but refuses to respond. I explained its not about the deposit because (I already disputed with my bank) but rather his time. I don't want to take up his appointment when he can schedule someone else in. But, nevertheless, still no reply. Listen, if you are in the Dallas area, within driving distance, or coming in for vacation, don't cheat yourself and GO. SEE. THESE. PEOPLE. I am only in Dallas for a few days and needed some ink therapy and Sal (BLESS HIM) had a cancellation I gladly filed and oh my Lord was I not disappointed. First of all the shop is amazingly clean, up to date, open and well lit. Not your typically dark tattoo shop. It felt so comfortable in there! And all the other artists were unbelievably nice and welcoming. Now let's talk about darling Sal. I love him. There's no other way to explain it. The amount of talent tucked into this amazing person is outrageous. His style is incredibly unique and the beauty in it is through the roof. He's gentle to the touch and so incredibly aware of how his client is feeling. Not to mention his personality is something you only see in a few rare beings. He listened to me vent about why I needed the ink therapy in the first place and by the time I left I had made such a beautiful connection with a stranger that I won't soon forget. My tattoo is everything I ever hoped it would be and then some. I will be traveling from the East Coast to the Dallas area just for him to add more anytime. read more

Neither of the designs were complicated or intricate...just some 3-5 inch ones. If you've seen Billyjack's Instagram page you know the man can do some pretty fabulous, complicated pieces so my stuff wasn't exactly anything that was automatically going to get his artistic juices flowing. And that's what I love about Billyjack. Even on when you give him a fairly simple concept, he'll make sure he makes it more and special. The most important thing he does in my opinion though is that he acts like a partner or a consultant, not just an artist who's going to execute the design you bring him. My experience down in New Orleans with the other shop was one where it was kind of like "whatever you want, man". I didn't need that, I needed a strong guiding hand and that's what I got with Billyjack. I threw out some ideas and he pretty much said what would and wouldn't work and then expanded on what would. Oh, and he's a blast to talk with. How many tattoos have you had where you and the artist have covered: dogs, kids (OK, those first 2 are pretty easy), rent relief policies during COVID and Roth IRA's. And laughing the whole time.

Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience at all. The artist who worked on me seemed inexperienced, and the process didn't match what I was told. What should have taken around 30 minutes was discussed as taking several hours, which already felt off. In the end, I was charged $200 for a cover-up that I'm extremely unhappy with--especially since it's on my face. To make matters worse, the artist didn't follow through on what was promised. He said he would work on two tattoos but only did one, and even then, it wasn't what I asked for. I specifically wanted a design resembling stitches, but instead I was left with a large black feather on my head that I deeply regret. The environment also felt unprofessional. The staff came across as dismissive and made me feel judged for the tattoo ideas I wanted, which added to an already negative experience. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unhappy with both the service and the final result. I would not recommend this shop. Are there any tattoo shops in the area willing to help fix a bad face tattoo once it heals? I'm worried it might scar, and I'm trying to figure out my options. If anyone has experience with cover-ups or thinks removal would be a better route, please let me know. I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations--this is something I'm stressing about and want to fix the right way. I'm not trying to bash the entire shop, because there seemed to be some talented artists there. However, I do want to warn others about my experience with one specific artist. The artist I worked with--whose name may be Ivan or Isaac--came across as confident, but in my opinion did not demonstrate the level of knowledge or experience I expected. For example, when I asked about certain techniques like blood shading, he didn't seem to understand what I was referring to. That raised concerns for me about his training and experience. Again, this does not reflect everyone at the shop, but based on my experience, I would personally not recommend working with that particular artist.

I personally get all my work done by Reid. But everyone that works here does fine work. First piece that I got done by him was the eagle and it came out great. Reid is super easy to work with. He always brings great ideas to the table and has superb solutions for tattoo ideas that haven't been finalized. You can tell he really loves his craft. Pricing is fair, I've never walked out of their thinking I paid too much. All in all if you're looking for a spot to get work done, YOU HAVE FOUND IT!

I've done simple things like this with other Friday the 13th tattoos with no problem. Those tattoo artist were very nice about it. But like a dumbass I went ahead and did the tattoo at Elm St. Right after getting it I immediately saw it was not a good tattoo. Blurred lines right from the beginning. He went outside the line. As in, it's always dark when I go in and there's usually just one woman working on the week days with one customer in the entire shop and if you don't have an appointment, you're just out of luck. I can't deal with that kind of exclusivity because my pedicure needs are sporadic and always happen on a whim. I drove around until I saw this shop near the house. "Honey Dipp." Cute name. I did a quick Yelp review and looked only at the rating and decided to give it a shop. Walked in and immediately was aware that I'm was the only Asian here. Long story short, this ended up being a great experience. I had "Q" who did a fantastic job. When I say she did a great job, I mean, she was inspecting each one of my toe nails like a jeweler inspecting a diamond. She actually scrubbed the rough spots on my feet and took time to make sure the polish was on perfectly. Even though there were a few people in the shop, I did not once feel rushed or uncomfortable. Plus, one of the employees had her kid there who was seriously one of the cutest freakin kids I've ever seen running around offering me Ritz crackers. If you're in the area, come give these ladies some support. I was very impressed and will be back!

This is so they are able to charge if you are late or a no show. I was told by them that they expect clients to be accountable as they are, so I went along with it because I understood. They will charge me if I am late but give 15% off if they are late as well. First appt was ok but they were late. I had to wait about 15 or 20 min. The appt for hard gel I had took 3 hours! Yet I was ok. I was trusting them and the process. I made my next 2 appts at that time. The second visit took just as long if not longer. I had plans but was not able to keep them as they were because the appt took so long. I never got the chance to go to the third appt which I made two months prior and had planned right before a vacation. They sent a text the day before asking if it was ok to move my appt to a new tine. I declined because again I had plans for that day. They then sent multiple confusing texts asking me to change my appt time which I didn't understand when they originally asked and I declined. They finally called and confirmed my original appt. They then sent a text on the day of my appt two hours before to say the tech had the flu and they would have to reschedule me and gave me 5 or so random appt choices during the morning hours as if I don't work. So very unprofessional. If you value your time do not waste it on this establishment. I overlooked the contract, the high prices and the long timeframe for the service but I will not compromise on how I am treated. I will never go back and I encourage you to not waste your time or money with this establishment either. Value yourself, your time and your money!

Not only is Trice just a genuinely amazing person, but she is extremely talented as well. She's thorough, and puts your nail health first at all times.
