Immediately greeted by very kind staff. Got the T-Rex burrito and it was 10/10. Really good quality ingredients so it's hard to go wrong with any burrito. They gave me a free miso soup "for the wait" even though the food came out extremely quick. Atmosphere of the place itself is good too, very relaxing vibes. All three people (seems to be a family business) thanked me and said goodbye on my way out. Come here to get good food with good service while supporting good people. This food truck can have all my money! Every Thursday of the week they're parked on Ocean Park Blvd and 31st. and they never disappoint. It was my first time coming here tonight and not only was the food amazing and so fresh but the sweetest lady was working. I thought that since we went in a bit close to closing they would be rushing but this woman was so sweet and offered my friend and I a dumpling while we waited for our food and gave us free miso soup with our order. This place has been on my mind to try for the past month. I was so excited to finally try it last night. I got there at 8:20 PM or so and was hesitant because they close at 9:00 PM. Let me also say I went in with very very very high expectations and of course every time I have gone into a restaurant with similar expectations I've been extremely disappointed. NOT THIS TIME! OH MY GOD. The owners of this place are an absolute culinary geniuses. What a brilliant concept. As far as the food (I got the T-Rex) I would give it A++. You name me the best sushi joint and their quality and taste is right up there with them. Finally, the owners, husband and wife, are so welcoming and nice, you see the love and passion in what they do. I just want to say thank you for deciding to open this gem. Long overdue review for my go-to Friday lunch spot! The fish is super fresh and the service is phenomenal. I'm a small person and can't eat an entire sushi burrito myself, so I love to get the hand roll "two ways" (which is just a special pricing they run for ordering more than one hand roll. 50/50 hand roll with soy paper is my jam! I ordered an extra hand roll the other day (three ways) and gave it to my friend, who happened to come to my house for a visit. She loved it so much she stopped by the restaurant on her way back to the SFV to pick up more for her and her BF. The owners couldn't be nicer, by the way, and I love giving this new local spot my business. Go! You won't regret it :)) read more

Ordered the Superman and the Batman burrito - not only because they are my favorite superheroes but because they looked pretty tasty on the photos. My GF and I were starving and this took surprisingly long. I thought slabbing raw fish in between a pile of rice and rolling it would take a couple of minutes MAX, but this took about 10 minutes. Overall, I was slightly disappointed by the food. The Batman Burrito tasted a little weird and the Superman barely had fish it on. I mostly ate rice. For $11-$12 per burrito, I would rather go to Chipotle and get me a real one for half the price. read more

Good stuff (Sushi Burrito and Sushi rolls). I started following Kimbobrex after I found them at the Los Feliz (Mother of Good Counsel) Monday night food truck meets. Finally! I sushi burrito truck that visits the LA/Hollywood area. I love the original sushi burrito truck (Joga...) but they don't come to LA. Kimbobrex will have to do! The sushi burritos by Kimbobrex are good, fresh and tasty. I liked the Batman and Superman burritos. They have tons of other burritos and rolls. Credit cards accepted as well. The only con to Kimbobrex was the long wait times for their burritos. But then again, you know he's making them fresh! Sushi burritos run $10-$14. read more

I've been wanting to try the sushi burrito, and had the chance to stop by this truck a couple times in the last few months. The items here seem to either be a hit or a miss. I've tried the Sushi-Rex ($12.75) and Best Friend ($13.75), both of which were very tasty and packed with a good amount of fresh salmon and tuna. Unfortunately, the Lobster Monster ($14.50) was a huge disappointment. There was barely any lobster in it, and all I could taste was eel sauce with a side of crabmeat. I'm not sure why this one cost so much more than the others when it doesn't taste as good and has less of the main ingredient. The staff here is friendly. Despite how busy it gets, the food doesn't take long to be made. I suggest sticking with the sushi burritos that are filled with fresh fish. The portions are pretty big and worth the price. read more
