Office staff (especially Angie) is very unprofessional, failed to hear me out about not putting in my prescription and cut me off while talking 7 times (that's how many times i had to call back because she kept pressing the hold button) by talking over me and placing me on hold in the middle of talking. She even started arguing, no apology was given or anything. Over all, this is someone I cannot trust with my personal medical information and will be looking for another doctor as she long as she's working there. Dr. Bolling, please find professional staff that is customer friendly, sympathetic, caring, trustworthy and most importantly can handle the workload. If not, you probably won't have any patients soon, because nobody is willing to put up with your staff. read more

My elderly mother has been a patient with Dr. Bolling for a number of years. I recently began taking my mother to her appointments, and I will not be bringing my mother back here. Not only are the wait times outrageous, when my mother complained to Dr. Bolling, she told her she did not have to come back!!! I was shocked and couldn't believe the doctor would say such a thing. On the previous visit, the doctor told my mother to take Ginko Biloba for her memory loss (my mother has early stages of dementia). When we went to Georgetown to see my mother's memory doctor, she immediately told my mother not to take that because there is NO SCIENCE behind that herb restoring memory. Ugh. I could go on about the unprofessional apparel Dr. Bolling wears, like she is headed on a date at the club with 4 inch stilettos, but I digress. I understand the concerns regarding COVID, but fear-mongering and guilt tripping patients for not getting the vaccine yet or at all is honestly unprofessional. On 11/13/2021 I had a genuine concern about a facial breakout that I've been dealing with for years and she said she'll check it out but tried to say it's connected to COVID....it wasn't. I've experienced this multiple times since way before COVID was even a thought. The moment I said I had slight body aches (also unrelated to COVID) and didn't get the vaccine yet, she told me she'll just give me a referral because I might have COVID. WTF? Meanwhile I tested negative before I came and the referral is no good because her receptionist never updated my insurance and the specialist doesn't even take my new insurance....all that for nothing. Then she tried to lecture me about my results being false negative....seriously?????? I've been getting tested weekly since August. You're telling every single one was a false negative? Please. Then she tried to interrogate me about the type of test I took. Even her own staff complained about her going crazy with all this. I couldn't even discuss all of my concerns because she wanted to talk about COVID the entire time. Complete waste of a physical. She wasted my time again when I came back in July doing the same thing and said I was gonna die if I don't get vaccinated and how I should do it for her because she's "tired of crying over her patients dying"....she wasn't genuine when she said that at all. And apparently she makes you sign a form consenting to an antibodies test. I was going to inquire about it anyways just to be in the know, but the phlebotomist (who's amazing by the way) said I was gonna get it anyways. Wow. It's insane how so many of these medical "professionals" spend all that time in school but still don't understand how vaccines and viruses work, especially in this pandemic. If you're gonna be this adamant about getting vaccinated because "it works", why be scared to do your job and check me out properly and not assume I have COVID since you're so "protected"? Had been a customer for years. Even after getting a wrong diagnosis - received someone else's diagnosis - I chalked it up to a clerical mistake. But when the office admin snapped at me when I was having issues filling a high blood pressure Rx because I was out - I was done. NO excuse for unprofessional, street behavior towards a patient. I will not stoop to that level - as a paying customer. Found a better office and a doctor - who knows how to hire the right staff. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Bolling's for about 5 years now, and I can honestly say that her service has gone from great to not-so-great. Initially, I began seeing her because she was a young African American doctor; I felt like I would be more comfortable with her. My first visit was great; however as they years have gone by, each visit has been worse and worse. The wait times are insane, the cash only copay is asinine, and she rushes when you finally get to see her. The last time I saw her, she gave me all these tests and never came to a conclusion about my condition. I have yet to receive a follow-up. It seems that where her service has deteriorated, her clothes and weave have improved. I guess this is where the copays and insurance reimbursements are going... ...I've decided not to see Dr. Bolling again, unless it is to retrieve medical records! read more

I have been with Dr. Bolling for about a year and I am so happy that I found her. She is very knowledgeable, personable and listens to all concerns. Her diagnoses are right on point and recommended treatments are explained thoroughly. She also values the opinion of specialists and will refer out for a more in depth evaluation of symptoms when needed. I never feel rushed and feel that she really cares about my health and well-being. Her sense of humor is a plus too. I highly recommend her. read more

Dr. Bolling is a nice young doctor, however her office doesn't really seem to run the practice that efficiently. I've been a patient there for a couple of years but since i'm rarely sick I generally only see her once or twice a year for check ups. I recently visited for a check up and to discuss some pain in my leg. When I arrived for my 11a appt there were about 5 others in the waiting area. After signing in the receptionist collected my copay within 10 minutes and then I waited another 40 minutes before the NP took me to a room to do the preliminary stuff (i.e., weight, BP, pulse, etc). I then returned to the waiting room, where I had to wait for another 40 minutes before actually seeing the doctor. If the waiting was the worst of this visit, I wouldn't complain, but when I described my symptoms to Dr. Bolling she totally brushed aside my concerns and only after I repeatedly insisted that my symptoms were real and quite frequent did she agree to look into it further. Then she told me that my insurance would probably not pay for some certain kind of tests but if I was insistent that something was wrong I could get an x-ray to see if anything was going on. My immediate thought was, "I didn't ask you what my insurance would pay for!" Dr. Bolling spent a total of 12 minutes with me. Close to 2 hours in the doctor's office for 12 minutes with the doctor. I've been seeing Dr. Bolling well over 8 years now and I'm very pleased. Yes, the wait times can be a little long at times, but she and her office staff know their patients personally, which is a plus. She keeps great records and makes sure that follow ups are scheduled. I've been going to the her for years because I'm rarely sick and I should've switched doctors awhile ago. I'm done with her. Even my mom switched a few months ago and I should've followed. She loves her new doctor. For one thing, the receptionist are ghetto. In my opinion, I think Dr. Bolling is too cheap to hire anybody good so she takes people who are willing to agree on the salary she wants. Anyway, there was this one time a few months ago when I was one the phone with one of the receptionist, and in a middle of me talking, she started talking to someone else about personal stuff. She didn't say hold on, excuse me, or anything. Dr. Bolling always overbooks. I guess she cares more about making money than her patients. You will literally sit there for AT LEAST 30 minutes. I have NEVER been in and out. There were a few times I was in there for 2 hours. You're waiting 30+ minutes for a 10-15 minute discussion with her. She is so self-righteous too. I know my body VERY well and when I'm sick, it's mostly a reoccurrence of something I had before. She hates when her patients diagnosis themselves or at least when I do. Whenever I go in KNOWING what I have, she's always like, "did you go to medical school? No? I'm the doctor." Let me tell you something, JUST BECAUSE YOU WENT TO MEDICAL SCHOOL DOESN'T MAKE YOU A GOOD DOCTOR! There were times when she would prescribe something that DOESN'T work and then I had to get another prescription for what I knew I had. The funny thing is, she'll stand by her computer while she ask you about your symptoms and let the computer diagnosis you... some doctor she is using that medical degree. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go to another doctor. One that doesn't overbook and have you waiting forever; one that actually listens, takes her time, and is polite; and one that cares. I've had it with her. I'm done. I'm going to my mom's doctor from now on and since he's a guy, I'll go to a female gyno for any female checkups I need. Been a patient for awhile and I am all about supporting black business owners. In fact, I told my wife to find a black doctor and Dr. Bolling is the doctor she found for me. Went in there and thought she seems great, kind of weird, but seems great. After awhile, waiting time became even more and more longer to the point where I got to make a visit a day off type of thing. I go and a lot of the time I cannot understand a word she be saying. I have pains, gotten pain meds from doctors to help me get through tough times and help me get through to moving and exercising. I come to Dr. Bolling and she does not support giving you anything really. So because of the pains I have basically stopped trying to get in shape because whenever I workout things hurt and this is pains that cannot be helped with Tylenol (she is not a fan for Ibuprofen). I took a bunch a Tylenol and still can feel my leg pain where my knee sometimes slips in and out. Constantly keep telling her about my pains but they fall on deaf ears. She simple keeps referring to the whole lose weight speech. But how can anyone try to do anything with the fear of pain coming because history says over and over again it will??? I kept trying to listen to her, and kept trying to push through. But when someone has a pinched nerve and your doctor knows about it but gives you nothing to help but you go to another doctor and they give you some meds that can help with the nerve problem. That is when you got to start thinking does she simply not know, simply do not care, or does she think drugs are never the answer. I have felt sharp stabbing pains in my back, neck, arm, and chest. Rushed to the hospital to make sure I was not having a heart attack and find out nothing is wrong with my heart at all. My heart is perfectly healthy. She just does not help you to be in a situation where you can continue to push through and get better. I don't want no strong drugs. In fact I am not looking for anything strong. I got Gabapentin to help with the nerve pain from another doctor that I can take whenever I need it. Listening to her I was taking Tylenol, which was not helping and I suffered for months with horrible pains. The quality of life was low as hell. Meanwhile, she have you come in and thrown out within 15 mins. She treats you like a assembly line where she does not listen to you. She runs all these test on you but cannot say that she actually helped me when something. I am, as of today, have decided to switch doctors because I just don't see her giving me the care I need. If I tell my doctor my knee is popping in and out of place and its in pain, I shouldn't get a push off onto another doctor. You should be concerned and look into it with your best medical advice. I understand you might not have experience in orthopedic field, but at least look and feel to see if there is a cause for concern. I cannot for the life of me understand why are you my primary care doctor and all you want to do is get me in, rush me out, but think that I want to come back in there for another inadequate rush job. I could understand if you rushed me out if you actually did something but literally came in with concerns and left with those concerns as I came in with. Who does that? I don't know if she has too many patients or what, but for a beautiful seemingly smart black woman, I don't think she is suited to handle my situation. 5 years of pain and it only gotten worst. My advice to anyone considering her to see for yourself. Don't just take my word. She might be the doctor you need. She's not what I need but it doesn't mean she won't be that for you. I use to have a doctor who knew me, knew what I was going through. But I screwed that up because I wanted to see if she could get me to where I need to go. 2 pinched nerves under her watch and it took me to go to another doctor to get something that I could use so I could turn my neck again. Told her the pains and she referred me to water therapy. All she had to do is give a nerve med prescription that I can take when needed. Which out of a 90 supply, I only took 10 of the lowest dosages. read more

As of today, 5/18/2015, all that I have read regarding Dr. Bolling's office still holds true. The wait times in the office are outrageous, unacceptable and unprofessional. A couple of weeks earlier, I arrived 20 min BEFORE my schedule appointment time for a follow up. After a cool 30 minutes beyond my schedule appointment, the NP finally did my BP, height, weight and sat me back in the waitinig room. A total of 1.5 hours has passed waiting, and still have not seen the doctor. Made a comment to another patient in waiting room regarding the wait time, only to be be told that her appointment was 1 hour before mine. Immediately, I got up and bid my farewell to the receptionist and was on my merry way. Today, thinking that I may have over reacted and needed to see Dr. Bolling for an emergency, I called the office and was told that she could "squeeze" me in --- in 2 days. Dr. Bolling was chosen by picking her name (based on location) out of my insurance catalog. I was with her for about a year, but it's hard to get a sick appointment. When I WAS able to visit her, I was confused by what she said. She focused on me needing to lose weight, which, I agree, but I'm not morbidly obese! Even when I visited for reasons unrelated to weight, she focused on me losing weight. She seemed to diminish my concerns and spoke really fast with a sort of mumble. Often times I've had to ask the receptionist what the Dr said (after the appointment). Dr. Bolling's office is decorated beautifullly, but she has a long way to go as far as giving good eye contact, really listening to the patient's concerns, and speaking clearly. I searched for a long time for doctors and when I finally found Dr. Bolling, I was pleasantly surprised. She keeps very detailed records, wanting to know the littlest things and then will explain how they all work together. I've never had any negative experiences in her office, so I'm not sure what the other reviewers are referring to. I like her; I think she's a great doctor. read more

I had Dr. Bolling for several years. Wasn't happy about her bedside manner--especially when I read about health problems for myself, had questions and didn't want to always resolve things with pharma meds. She was supportive when I really needed time off from work but in the end was rude, hung up the phone on me--might have been having a bad day, but I decided to switch drs. I also didn't like feeling rushed during appt. after waiting a long time. I really liked her phone receptionist--she was always friendly and helpful and is probably the reason I stayed as long as I did. I had an appointment with Dr. Bolling today for the first time. When i got there the receptionist was on the phone and checking out a patient at the same time. the patient was trying to talk to her to ask her a question. She was just telling him wait one minute. My appointment was at 9:45 I got there at 9:30. The waiting area is small and it was full. I was speaking to this lady that came to do lab work and she's been waiting before me.The office is nice and clean but the waiting time to see the doctor is outrageous, unacceptable and unprofessional. I wait for 45 minutes and the I just got up an left. If you make an appointment with this office make sure you have the whole day free. read more
