Mrs. Jenkins has been my doctor for over 20 years. I love her bedside manner so compassionate and overall great personality. I've gotten 2 other members actually go to her as well. My name is Nicole Spencer a potential new patient. I cancelled my appointment 3 times then called on the day of my appointment to make sure you all got my cancellation. The front desk person was very nasty and hung up the phone on me. When I tried to call back, she kept sending me to voicemail, finally when she answered the phone I asked for an office manager, she told me that there was no office manager. Very disappointed in my experience and will not refer or patronize this practice. Ladies keep it moving very unprofessional. Not recommended. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Jenkins for the last 9 years since I moved back home to DC. She is my best friend's Ob/Gyn so she came highly referred. I have always had a great experience w/Dr. Jenkins and I like that she is very candid and personable. I will say that my recent appointment with her was a little more exceptional than all of the others. You see I had a splinter in my finger that I couldn't get out and I asked if she could help me. I knew she didn't have to help me, but she did and took her time doing it. Needless to say she was able to remove it and I was very grateful. I went to Susan jerkins this year in march of 2025 for my urine fibriods she was supposed to do my breast exam and pap Smear but she never completed they only tired two times and didn't finish it and I went back to her in June 2025 for a follow up visit again my fibroids and she told me they were small and I didon't need surgery but I asked her was she going to do the Pap smear and she told me no because she already tired to do it twice. When I came here in march of this year and told me she would see me back in three years she didn't want to do her job and was unprofessional I advice no one go to her she is in it her the money is all and not actually care about her patients health I will not be going back to her I go to another doctor that actually cares about their patients they see and Just in it to make a living off of patients that pay money through their insurance to come see her read more

Great provider, very thorough and professional while at the same time warm and friendly.

I wanted to like her. 1st time, my wait was very long only for her not to listen and use the "x-ray" vision that most doctors believe they have and tell ne that I was making up my issue and I should seek psychiatric help. The second time was two weeks ago and I have been waiting (still waiting) so long for my results that I ended up diagnosing myself. I took the urine test and the office was incredibly shallow when I told them that there was no more room to place my sample which could result in contamination. What do I know, right? One result came back..... contaminated. Never again. Update: It has been six weeks and I still haven't gotten the results. I actually ended up curing myself! Oh, but they had NO problem adding a late fee. By the way, they don't have any way of accepting payments except through the mail. The staff is giving me the wrong information..... Go somewhere else. 2nd update. It has literally been 2 months and I still have not received my results. The billing company nor the doctor's off ice will waive the late fee and you won't even know until you get another bill. Then when you try to pay the late fee (against your better judgment) you can't pay it online or by phone. In a nutshell: Greedy, lazy, unprofessional, incompetent, lackadaisical and arrogant. read more

Visited the doctor today and she made me feel very comfortable. She has great bedside manner and listened to my concerns. I was worried about being rushed through my appointment, as I have experienced since as of late, but she was patient with me and took time to explain my medications and answer my questions. The front office staff was not bad. I didn't wait a long time before being seen. Nash, the male in the office was very friendly and efficient. I am not certain why this office rating is so low because my experience was anything but low. read more

My experience was horrible. I waited on one room for one hour. I asked a young lady how long is the wait. She looked at me and Stated there's one more person in front of you. So I stepped out the room and asked the guy at the front. He told me to go back in the room and he will come and get me. With him waving his finger. When I'm finally called in another room to get in the back to get my Vitals check. The nurse or medical assistant got smart with me again. Once the doctor came in she made me feel like since I didn't have any complications or urgent issues. There wasn't no need for a Well women exam. After waiting almost 2 hours. I was disappointed with the service I did not receive from Dr. Susan Jenkins office for my appointment today June, 1 2022. I scheduled an appointment with Aline, if this is her real name for May, 12th 2022 and would have been a new patient. I asked if they were an in network with my DC Insurance, I gave her the name of the insurance and explained that I was coming from DC. She assured me that my insurance was in network and they accepted it. I was referred to DR. Jenkins by someone who spoke highly about the Doctor. I had to reschedule this appointment for another date which was June 1, 2022. When I got there today I filled out my paperwork and submitted my insurance and ID, Dr. Jenkins stated that they did not accept my insurance and it was not in network. I shared my frustration because I asked all the right questions before scheduling the appointment and was told they did. My experience was a waste of time and gas. Instead of Dr. Jenkins apologizing for the incorrect information that the scheduler provided she rebutted. This is very unprofessional, if the doctor doesn't hold her staff accountable then she also is a part of the problem. I hope that changes are made because just as their time is valuable and they are a business that makes money and provide services they should respect their prospective and current patients as well. read more

While the doctor is fabulous -- open, helpful, good listener, very friendly -- her office's management is just... not. They only answer phones at selected times of day (which drives me crazy), the office itself looks very dated (I'm talkin' paper files, ya'll) and you will have to wait some time before you're seen. I moved to Silver Spring so I'm no longer with Dr. Jenkins, and am very happy with my new OB-GYN in comparison... Sad face because the doctor is really sweet. read more

I went to see Dr. Jenkins for over 1 year, she was great and I would recommend her to anyone who lives in the area. I would give her 5 stars, but the two stars are for her receptionists. On 3 separate occasions, most recently 10/7/13, I called her office just to ask if they could tell me the last time I had had an appointment. Her answer? "Call your insurance company ma'am." And when I asked, "can't you look it up using my last name, DOB?" She did so reluctantly, I said thank you, and she just hung up, not even a good-bye/you're welcome. I wouldn't normally complain about this, except I had a rude customer service experience at least 3 times when I called for separate issues, each time, the person over the phone was short, unfriendly, and did little on their part to assist me. Face to face, her receptionist are fine, just need to work on their phone skills!! read more

As the other reviewers said, Dr. Jenkins is a great physician! Knowledgeable, caring and patient. She listens to your concerns with rushing you which may account for the wait times. Personally, I would rather wait and feel comfortable that the physician will take all the time she needs when it's my turn to be seen. As far as staff goes, her staff for the past few years has been great, especially her office manager, Cris. I know that whenever I have a problem, cris will make sure that I am seem in a timely manner. Can't speak for staff from years ago but I can say that over at least the past few years, my visits have been very pleasant. read more
