I called Woman to Woman just to find that they wouldn't be able to see me for another 3 weeks. I scheduled the appointment but I ended up going to an Urgent Care facility and a Planned Parenthood just so that I could be seen right away. Both experiences were very poor. So you can imagine my relief at meeting a very thorough and pleasant Dr. Toni Mason-Jones. The moment I stepped into Woman to Woman, the receptionist greeted me very pleasantly. It is a quaint little office in a large building full of other offices. It was difficult to find at first because there's nothing advertising that Women to Women is in that building. But it's in there. The office is quiet and clean. The service is speedy and attentive. And everyone I came in contact with, as the name suggests, is a woman! My bad experiences still in my head, I felt nervous. But Dr. Mason-Jones' spirit immediately calmed me. She asked me the typical, invasive questions but she did so in a way that I felt comfortable telling the truth. It felt like I was talking to a girlfriend who really cared. She was thorough but direct--careful not to waste my time or hers doing procedures that I'd already had done. I will be returning!

Phoned in a prescription 3 times, phoned again and left messages with the receptionist and the nurse...never received a call back and never got the refill called in. If it was a drug for a minor condition, it would have been ok. It wasn't. Truly loved seeing Dr. Toni Mason-Jones as she is a thorough, caring and compassionate doctor. In the 4 years I was going, new people coming and going, but having to phone over and over to get a refill was the final straw. Again, Dr. Jones is a fab OB/GYN, but there is no way refills should not be phoned in.

The new office is beautiful and clean. It has an onsite laboratory, sonography suite (includes 3-d imaging), a large waiting area and more than enough rooms to service patients. I have visited the practice several times and service has been consistent. Dr. Cooke, Dr. Edmonds and all of the rest of the staff are professional and attentive to their patients needs. I am always greeted with a warm smile and a can-do attitude from all staff members. I would recommend this practice again and again. They listen to their patients. I previously had issues at the old office with some staff and wait times. I talked to Dr. Cooke regarding my concerns and the action taken was above and beyond. Waldorf women's care also cared for me when I needed to have a tube removed after an second ectopic pregnancy, again the Doctor was stellar and I recovered better than I imagined. The doctor left minimal incision marks from my laparoscopic surgery and ensured that my other tube was healthy and that I could try to conceive again. The Doctors confidence, positive energy left my husband and I confident and ready to plan for our next baby. Two months ago I booked my very first GYN appointment ever with Waldorf Women's Care and had a poor…read moreexperience to say the least. Upon my first visit I was immediately scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound because the P.A (Blackbourne) recommended it after feeling a mass. During the follow up appointment where I was told I had multiple very large ovarian cysts, she showed no bedside manner and basically just scheduled the pre op. I was worried about the possibility of rupturing or torsion (a concern she mentioned during the follow up). So I decided to call after my appointment and asked for a light duty note for my job since I work at a place that requires lots of lifting, bending, twisting, etc. I received a call from the receptionist, not my provider, telling me that my request was denied and that I would be given a note after surgery with zero explanation. She had never asked what I did for work so to immediately deny without reasoning was questionable. I wrote a follow up message asking why my request was denied, and to please reach back out directly so that I could at least know why I shouldn't be worried if she didn't think I needed restrictions. My message sat unanswered for a week, and I had to follow up. During that time I actually received a message asking for a co-pay but still had no response to my original message asking for a follow up. In response I received the light duty accommodation from Dr. Cooke, with zero direct follow up from anyone as requested in my original message. As a result I scheduled my procedure elsewhere. I had better expectations given that the providers were proactive about moving forward with treatment. However, the lack of communication, acknowledgement, and bedside manner is unacceptable.

She is understanding and totally will make you feel comfortable. The receptionist out front was also courteous. When I first got there I had about a 5-6 minute wait because they were in the back. My appointment was around lunch time. When she finally saw me, she apologized profusely for the wait, which wasn't even that bad. The medical assistant also was very nice and went through what would happen during the appointment. She really helped calm me down. Dr. Gopalani was very professional. The only bad part of this office is that it is all the way in Olney which is kind of far for me, but other than that, I had a good experience here. My appointment was initially scheduled 3 weeks out, but when I asked the receptionist if I could come in earlier, she fit me in the same day.

I also love the online booking system and wish more practices would offer this. I used this practice for about three years. My first visit was with a provider I don't remember, but who was perfectly fine. Next year, I booked with Dr. Andre, and had a less-than-stellar experience. She was over 30 minutes late to my appointment, after the nurse had already taken my information and set me up in the room. She scolded me for venturing out of the room to look for someone and then when she finally saw me was pretty condescending and dismissive of some concerns I had. I gathered she had to attend to an emergency right before my appointment, so as a human I can appreciate that may have been an exceptionally difficult day for her, but as a patient that doesn't make what I experience ok. I wish that would have been handled differently, even if I were just offered the chance to reschedule. Next year, I determined to schedule with someone else and was seen by Erica Lybarger. I really liked her bedside manner and found her friendly and engaging. I really appreciate her gentle approach and how dedicated she is towards helping patients manage any pain. This year I saw her again and still enjoyed meeting with her. However, after our review of some birth control methods, I went home and researched the options we discussed and found out she had misconstrued some of the side effects, avoided mentioning some risks, and left out one significant valid option. Reading both legitimate medical pages on these options as well as other patients' experiences with side effects made me uncertain I could trust the information she provides and I decided to seek a different provider based on my GP's recommendation. Ultimately, I think a patient could still have a good experience with this practice and even with both the providers I am reviewing. I just decided based on the care I received that i want to receive more reliable support elsewhere instead of trying a new provider within the practice.
