I'd been casually looking for a new gynecologist since I came home from college. But severe…read moreabdominal pain lead me to seek out some more immediate attention. I called Woman to Woman just to find that they wouldn't be able to see me for another 3 weeks. I scheduled the appointment but I ended up going to an Urgent Care facility and a Planned Parenthood just so that I could be seen right away. Both experiences were very poor. So you can imagine my relief at meeting a very thorough and pleasant Dr. Toni Mason-Jones. The moment I stepped into Woman to Woman, the receptionist greeted me very pleasantly. It is a quaint little office in a large building full of other offices. It was difficult to find at first because there's nothing advertising that Women to Women is in that building. But it's in there. The office is quiet and clean. The service is speedy and attentive. And everyone I came in contact with, as the name suggests, is a woman! My bad experiences still in my head, I felt nervous. But Dr. Mason-Jones' spirit immediately calmed me. She asked me the typical, invasive questions but she did so in a way that I felt comfortable telling the truth. It felt like I was talking to a girlfriend who really cared. She was thorough but direct--careful not to waste my time or hers doing procedures that I'd already had done. I will be returning!

Where has she been all my life!…read more UPDATE - Had to actually finally move on. Getting prescription refills became a horror. Phoned in a prescription 3 times, phoned again and left messages with the receptionist and the nurse...never received a call back and never got the refill called in. If it was a drug for a minor condition, it would have been ok. It wasn't. Truly loved seeing Dr. Toni Mason-Jones as she is a thorough, caring and compassionate doctor. In the 4 years I was going, new people coming and going, but having to phone over and over to get a refill was the final straw. Again, Dr. Jones is a fab OB/GYN, but there is no way refills should not be phoned in.

Debated leaving a review, but I think it may be important for potential patients in the future…read more I had my first baby about a year and a half ago and went to Annandale OBGYN. Overall had a nice experience, but when we found out I was pregnant with our second, I realized my OB was no longer with Annandale. I decided it would be nice to try a midwife, and P&M was very close to our home. I made a 8 week appointment with Michelle Powers after hearing wonderful things. Around 6 weeks, I started spotting, and then bleeding. I called the nurse on call since it was a Saturday. She was wonderful, and had the doctor call me back, who was also wonderful. They made me an appointment on that following Tuesday, but I decided to go to the hospital in the meantime. My hospital visit was inconclusive. I ended up heavily bleeding and clotting in the days leading up to my Tuesday appointment, and I was terrified and quite certain I was miscarrying. Tuesday morning, even before the office was open, I received an automated call that my appointment was canceled. I was distraught, and waited until the office opened to call and try to get in. The scheduling woman I spoke to was so awful. She was very robotic, and said she couldn't get me in for 2 weeks. I started crying, and she just said she could get me in in a few days, but they couldn't do an ultrasound for 2 weeks. I actually said "well how can they tell if I still have a baby inside of me?" And she just said "not sure. Do you want the appointment?" I was in shock and said no. At this point I called Annandale OBGYN and they got me in first thing the next morning. I saw Katherine Shipley and she was wonderful. She was encouraging and did a full exam, ultrasound, and took blood for testing all in about 20 mins. I'll never go back to P&A, and my suggestion to people inquiring would be to avoid this practice. I am sure the doctors are wonderful, but they seem very understaffed. In the case of an emergency, it seems unreasonable that you can't be seen for 2 weeks just for a check up. The cancelling protocols also seem very impersonal. The fact that ultrasounds are so special it takes weeks to use a machine is wild. At Annandale OBGYN there are ultrasound machines on wheels in every room. I don't understand the drama around ultrasounds at P&M. After suffering a miscarriage and the horrible and cold treatment at P&M, it was traumatic to say the least. I'm sure if everything goes smooth, your experience could be great. But in the case of an emergency, they don't seem to have enough room or staffing.

I never feel rushed, the bed side manner is WONDERFUL and I never leave feeling not heard or like my concerns or questions weren't answered.
