Wow, I was on hold waiting to schedule an appointment and the reviews popped up! I am shocked and…read moresadden to see so many people rate this office so low. I have been coming to the Bowie Office Probably Over 10 years! I have to admit, there are times when I have had to hold for 10 minutes but I have never experience the rudeness or disrespect. What I have experienced is calling my doctor at the beginning of Covid19 because I was very sick. However because I did not have a high temp (my norm runs about 95, I was at 100 for me, it was high.) I was not considered a priority at the ER! I called my Dr. at MPC in Bowie, who told me to come to the back door, took my temp, took the nose swab and sent me back to the ER with a note! I was told, don't read-it, give it straight to check-in. I don't know what it said but I was finally tested and had Covid. I know, when I was a new patient and saw my Dr. I was given labs early afternoon which included blood work. My doctor, read my labs and left a message that I needed to come back to the office and she would wait for me. I got the message after 7pm but went by. I was pre-diabetic and she wanted me to have medication on the cruise. See she remembered a previous conversations about me trying new deserts when I cruise. I can call my Dr., send messages for my mom, dad or myself and get answers or appointments. BTW - she/they treat my parents and my husband. There have been changes with the staff but I have no doubt, it will be corrected. They take great care of us.

This office has gone down. I have been going here for years and it just seems like no one cares…read moreanymore!!!! I drive over 45 minutes to come to this office. It takes forever to get your prescriptions/referrals correct and then you have to wait for months if you need an authorization. Some of the front desk staff are very unprofessional! I have left several messages regarding different issues that I am experiencing and no one ever returns your calls. I am not sure who is doing the hiring for this location but someone needs to do better screening and hire people that love their job because the people that I am speaking to are not professional. There are a couple of people that have tried to help me but for the most part, this office needs help and they need to do better.

I booked an appointment with Robin Codjoe via Zocdoc for 3:30 today…read more I provided my insurance information, photos of license via zocdoc last week, when booking. I contacted my former primary to fax over my records with them to provide my history. Their office sent a link asking me to update information for my appointment. You're unable to get to that portal with incorrect information to see anything further or update anything. I put in my zip code and date of birth (required info) and could not reach whatever they wanted me to populate. I later discovered it was because the zipcode they had on file was INCORRECT. Someone had entered generic information versus leveraging the license address or anything else from zocdoc. I received no phone calls prior to the appointment, no emails or texts with any information other than the link that I could not access due to what THEY put in my file for zip code. No communications from their office sent via email or text stated anything about grace periods for arrivals, etc. and only mention my appointment time of 3:30 I showed up 10 minutes early (3:20) so that I could fill out any further information they may need. I was advised upon arrival that I was told I needed to arrive 15 minutes early (in what communication ??) and that I had a 5 minute grace period to try and fill out my paperwork. I begin populating their tablet with my info, which included having to take photos of my license and insurance card all provided by zocdoc a week ago). The front desk calls me up and asks if I'm finished. I advise yes. They then tell me they'll ask the doctor if I can keep my appointment. I'm then told I have to be rescheduled. I understand wanting to be prompt but to have weak communication going out to new clients, not leveraging zocdoc for information and then penalizing the client by canceling even though I showed up early does not reflect the grace, care and understanding I want in a medical provider. I will not be coming back to receive service and this team should really reflect on areas they can improve to also effectively support potential clientele. Respect of time goes both ways.

During my 30-year residence in Bowie, Bowie Internal Medicine Associates has been the "go to"…read moredoctors' office for general medical care. Dr. Siegel, and after his retirement Dr. James Wang, took great care of my family's medical needs and made referrals to the appropriate specialists. Recently, service at BIM has deteriorated badly. The portal website is opaque. I cannot tell how to get a message through to my doctor. The telephone is terrible -- no one answers the phone. Doctors are notoriously bad at responding to messages, and BIM is now the worst of the worst. This country has the WORST MEDICAL CARE of any country on the planet. It is shameful how doctors make so much money and accomplish so little now. Government regulation is now fast asleep at the switch. I hope that this complaint wakes up BIM, at least, to restore itself to the high standards that it once met.

Everyone in my family has been going to Dr. Hagothmn for several years. We absolutely love this…read moredoctor. Not only is he a great diagnostician, but he is approachable, intelligent, interested, with the highest level of integrity and empathy. His bedside manner is by far the best I have ever experienced in my life. My husband had a medical issue, very recently, that needed prompt attention; I had no problem scheduling an appointment to see Dr. Hagothmn. As always, the level of concern and care that Dr. Hagothmn displayed during our visit, was extraordinary. I have called his office on several occasions and the office staff is always very courteous and accommodating to our needs. The wait time to see Dr. Hagothmn has always been minimal. His office is always clean and organized, with a friendly staff to greet us upon entering the front door. I highly recommend Dr. Hagothmn to anyone who is looking for a physician who is willing to go above and beyond what is expected of them.

After having blood work months ago and never being able to get the results from this doctor, he made a follow up call last week because he didn't feel well and wanted to come in. My father is nearly 80 and this doctor totally ignored him. As a result, he had to call 911 this past Monday and go to the hospital to determine what is wrong. Turns out he has some internal bleeding and, had he continued to wait for this IDIOT to call him back, would probably have died in his house. Oh, and now the doctor refuses to authorize the ambulance service since THEY did not make the call. Gee, since he can't return a simple phone call asking about blood work, who would trust them to call an ambulance during an emergency? By far, the worst doctor I have ever come across. We will be filing complaints to any board or organization who will listen. This guy has no business pretending to be a doctor - he is sure to kill someone with his negligence and total lack of concern.

Let me give you a little background first, I come from a place where Drs offices are in medical parks and dont look like shady places where you might leave with more than you came with. Where offices are bright and airy and the people are friendly and knowledgeable. I could tell quite a few horror stories of places ive been in MD where I didnt even walk in because the building was a little too sketchy.. This office I wouldnt say was the mecca or anything of that sort but it was one of the better ones ive found in the area.. Its in a decent area and the office staff is nice. The Dr spent time with me and asked questions and made sure my questions was answered.. Do I miss my Dr. in GA YES, do i miss my DR. in NC HELL YES, but I am happy i found one here where im not scared to step foot in the building! and thats saying a lot for me. :)

I opted out of having a pap smear. She did however examine my breasts. And that alone was a traumatizing experience. I left her office feeling violated. I clearly understand that she's a professional and she's trained to touch people - it's part of her regular job duty. But when you have a first-time patient, I would think the doctor would take the time to walk the patient through what she's doing, the doctor would seek consent. There was none of that. Dr. Manjt came in with her chart and an intern. She removed the gown her clinical assistant had left for me to wear, and she just went straight for the breasts. She took little to no time to explain what she was doing. Had it only been her in the room with me that would be one matter. But there was a third individual, i.e. the intern, and she didn't even seek consent before 'exploring' my body. By far this was one of the more awful visits I have had to date.
