During an already painful time, this lack of communication and failure to provide such an essential document has added unnecessary stress and heartache for our family. In my experience, this is not how a doctor who truly cares for patients and their families behaves, and I would urge others to keep this in mind when choosing a physician.

One week later I called her office again to say I was still in the hospital. Her staff member told me that "Dr, Chambers doesn't do that." I asked what doesn't she do? The staff member told me that Dr. Chambers doesn't talk to patients or their families when there is a hospital visit involved?!!! I wish I had known that, all these years. Know this: Dr, Chambers will not be there for you or your family if there is a health emergency. My question is, where is her alliance to the Hippocratic Oath that she took, Including... "I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems if I am to care adequately for the sick."

If she called me back I was charged for an office visit. Bloodwork was constantly requested, done in the office, and also came with a copay. I definitely do not recommend this business.

Primary physicians refuse phone calls repeatedly. Phlebotomist refused to do all prescribed test requiring a second visit. A long time staff member bullied ederly patients to join up. The initial 'choice' quickly disappeared leaving long term patients adrift. After requesting help with a medication adjustment the nurse practitioner responded by say that the only thing needed was to start walking and stop eating pasta. The concierge rollout ensured that patients would all have an option to go concierge or stay as is. This was deceptive as it quickly became apparent there was no choice at all.

Essentially, you pay for the healthcare you need. This is an excellent practice for people who cannot easily afford medical insurance and are shut out of our healthcare system. For myself, I enjoy the fact that The practice is personable and accessible, and I never have a difficult time getting an appointment when I needed it. I think many more people should be considering medical practices such as evolve, yet I still do not find that many. The closest analogy is somewhere like Care first, however, Care first is less of a medical practice run by one doctor and more of a mass healthcare system. Evolve is a medical practice, with an excellent doctor, competent staff, and a pay as you go approach.
