He was very warm and inviting from the moment I arrived. Before my appointment, he took the time to review my intake forms and knew areas of concern and what I was looking for with my massage. We discussed my frequent running and tight legs, and he designed a massage specifically targeting my areas of concern. I left not feeling bruised or sore like other deep tissue massages I've had in the past. The manipulation was firm, but also involving limb movement to get into the fascia more deeply. I know that Annie does not step over them because she jokes she is too short to. Seeing that she is your service provider now I am assuming that she is opening it for you as she escorts you back to the treatment room. If this not the case, I will certainly bring it to her attention but I feel confidently that she is opening the gate. We have gates to contain the puppy while she is going through her training to become a service dog. If the dog & the gates are a problem for you, I completely understand if you choose to have your services performed elsewhere. The environment does not feel like you're in a building in a plaza at all. The spa itself is decorated very tastefully with all sorts of different services from nails to hair and waxing. Long story short, I got turned off of going there due to 1) never being able to get in for an appointment with my preferred providers as my hours piled up, and 2) an incident my favorite therapist there confidentially told me about that made me question both the sanitation and the work culture. So in 2020, I found myself a high-risk person (autoimmune disease) with a ton of backlogged hours and a lot of stress, hoping to get back to a massage routine but nervous about such a close environment with the Covid situation. I came here for just a rapid tension massage at first, the type using the percussion gun, and had April. She was respectful of my concerns and set me at ease to the point that I felt comfortable coming back to her for a regular massage soon after. She's since become my go-to massage person, and I book out months in advance with her because, when someone is good, their book naturally fills up and April is good! As one of her regulars, they're even willing to give me a call if she has an unexpected cancellation; they did so today, in fact, and although I missed the call and someone else snapped up that appointment, they were able to get me in with someone else who sounds like they will meet my needs. Did I mention that the front desk staff here is also great? The location has a chill, upscale vibe befitting to the Uptown Mt. Lebo business district and is impeccably clean. I'm glad this has become my go-to Massage Envy location. Don't let the parking situation deter you from coming here, or stress about street parking; park in the nearby garage and they will give you a validation ticket so that you will only owe a couple of dollars at most. Which I was not what I asked for because I did ask before services were rendered because of price difference. I feel that a cut/color with a short pixie should not cost $250. Way over budget than the original quote. I asked to speak to you Tina, but was never given that opportunity. What also stands out to me is the other reviews of customers with much longer hair and color services paying way less than what I paid for. This was definitely a one and done experience. Next time, please communicate better and with precise details. Nobody should ever have to feel the way I have.
