The good: my massage by Megan was amazing! And she was very friendly and made me feel really comfortable. The bad: the place needs a huge facelift! I realize not much can be done about the outside but the little lobby is dark and dingy. Not exactly a spa vibe. The ugly: the "review" from one of the therapists telling a client to "get bent" is really off-putting. If I had read these reviews before booking, I probably wouldn't have gone here. I understand she was questioning his training, which is highly frustrating. But there is a professional way to respond to something like that. read more

Josh is the best. He knows his stuff and will work out any and all of your problem areas - I try and come monthly, because I notice a major difference when I don't. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Excellent massage with Aaron! I came seeking help for bad knots and tension in my back from work- felt better after just one visit, but I plan on coming more frequently to keep up and maintain how good I feel now. Aaron was able to release a lot of my tension in my neck and shoulders in the first 20 minutes of massage- I was impressed and am thankful to have some relief!! He is open certain days in the later evening, perfect for anyone that works long hours. I booked online through their website , it was simple and easy. Great to be able to book right away and see what's available! Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Josh beat the hell out of me for an hour and I will be coming back for more. In all seriousness I didn't come for a "relaxing spa experience" I came to rectify extra tightness and nerve issues that I have been having as of late. Josh listened and used multiple different techniques on my problem areas. Rome want built in a day and my issues aren't going to fix themselves over night but after just one session I feel so much better (even being sore from the session feels so much better than it did before) He also gave advice and recommendations on things I need to do myself to improve my issues. I'm a carpenter so I beat up my body pretty well, but I dont want to use pain pills to get through the day or do months of physical therapy to get results. If you are in the same boat I would say give this a shot. I will definitely be back! read more

OMG. I already know I'm going to be a regular at this clinic. I had the most amazing Thai massage experience ever. Not only was the masseuse very professional, he was also very informative and fun to talk to. I came into my massage completely clueless and wore a romper. Little did I know Thai massage is basically assisted deep stretching. Most of the time, I request a female masseuse- this was not possible in this case. I just do it to avoid creepy people. I did not feel creeped out whatsoever and was even offered a blanket to help me feel better. I left my 90 minute massage feeling like I was on a cloud. I'm already planning another visit! Parking is very convenient too, there are two parking spaces right in front of the door. read more

The BEST a massage I ever had! I was so relaxed and the techniques were very effective in releasing tension I had

Welp, I am now ruined for all other massages I may ever get. Josh kicked my ass in the best possible way. I feel like I now have muscle mobility that I haven't had in a very long time. I was warm and comfortable throughout. Josh has a great sense of humor and seriously knows his stuff. I'll 100% be back! read more

I've had better massages. And I'm pretty sure my therapist got an undeserved $20 tip since I paid online during my booking. I paid for a Thai massage but requested to change it to a Swedish massage because I know the massage would have been nothing like the Thai massage I received in Thailand and I wasn't about to walk down that road. I purchased a Swedish for my boyfriend as well. I thought I was maybe just being picky about the massage since I'm a therapist myself, but this was my boyfriend's first time getting a massage and he was underwhelmed as well. I would not go here again. read more

Came here for the first time and got a 1 hour Swedish massage. Total was $49, because I was a first time customer. Masseuse was Aaron. What's Hot - Health evaluation. Before my appointment, I filled out a health evaluation of myself online and submitted it online. It's always important for a masseuse to understand somethings about your body. That they also give you the option of doing it online is even more convenient. - Good pressure/quality. I explained to him the target areas of my body that needed more focus and he obliged. Additionally, Aaron massaged right above my eyebrows, my scalp, and my temples. People underestimate how helpful it can be to relieve tension in your head. I'm happy to see Aaron understands. He explained to me afterwards, that heads are heavy and people are not aware of that. The nerves in the head are important. - No skimping on time. Self explanatory, but important. - Price. To be fair, I was given a first time customer discount, which was hella cool. However, their rates are more reasonable compared to some of the other spas in this area. Ordinarily, a Swedish massage for 60 minutes is $65. I have looked up other places, where a 60 minute massage is $70 or more. What's Not - Difficult to get same day appointments. I tried to get a same day appointment the day before and wasn't able to. To be fair, this isn't a large establishment. This is not to say that you can never get a same day appointment, but it depends on the day. Observations - The front door is on the left of the building. There are 2 doors for this location- the 100 building. Their front door is the one on the left. Be aware of this, because it looks like you can get in from the right hand side, but you can't. Final Answer Definitely plan on returning again. read more

I LOVE LOCAL. And love to support growing businesses. What better way to do that than to get a massage, right? So I have been to KT a couple of times as my hectic schedule, my budget, and my energy allows. Its close enough that I can walk there, which is a special treat. I wish Crafton would host more amazing small businesses so I could bar, restaurant, massage, etc. hop all day! Anyway, I have seen Aaron for all of my massages. They have been fantastic. The space is cozy and inviting, the scheduling is quick and easy, and the prices are fair and market comparable. In 2019 my goal is to treat my mental health as well as I treat my physical health, and this place is just the recipe that I need. read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! Aaron is very nice and super knowledgeable with everything he is doing. I'm glad I found kneaded tranquility! read more

Aaron was so very polite and professional. His hands are magical and took so much stress out of this 7 month pregnant momma! It smelled so good and was so clean as soon as I walked in! I would definitely recommend Kneaded Tranquility to anyone. read more

Scheduling my appointment was effortless, Aaron gave me all pertinent information and emailed me the client intake form to fill out ahead of time so that I did not have to waste my time or Josh's time filling it out when I arrived for my appointment. The room temperature was comfortable and nice low lighting, the music was relaxing and enjoyable. My massage therapist name was Josh. He was very professional and took the time to listen to my needs. He was very good about informing me what muscles were causing the pains I was feeling and what he was doing to address them. He also made sure to ask me periodically if the pressure he was applying was okay which I appreciated. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be a repeat and referring my friends and family! read more

Aaron did an amazing job! Soooo sore after overdoing it at the gym the previous day. He asked me what hurt and I said "everywhere!" Great first experience! read more

Kneaded Tranquility - Reflexology Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

This place has been my oasis during COVID. On the outside, the building looks like a little "hole in the wall", but on the inside the ambiance is relaxing and spa-like. They have done a terrific job keeping the facility clean without it feeling or smelling antiseptic. Aaron, the owner, is an exceptional masseuse. He is knowledgeable, intuitive, careful and respectful. Over the years, I've had treatments in many fine resorts around the world, but being able to come here, in my home town, for a professional massage of this high caliber has been a real gift. I highly recommend you check them out. read more

I went to Kneaded Tranquility today for a massage as I was feeling SUPER sore in my neck and back. I have had Continuing issues with both from years of working out. Gabrielle was my masseuse and she was great. She sat down with me prior to go over issues and did an amazing job. In fact, I extended the massage to an hour and a half! Highly recommend and I would go again! read more

I enjoyed my massage quite a bit. I haven't found a good place to get a massage in Pittsburgh that is reasonably priced since I've lived here (8+ years). My opinion is the place looks slightly old/outdated but it was clean. Would recommend and will go again. read more

Excellent massage. I got the pressure point massage that released all the tension. I felt great after and not even the least bit sore.

Used the schedule appointment on the webpage as directed to do on Facebook page. Drove an hour to shop before my appointment because I like to be early to fill out paperwork and make sure I don't get lost. My appointment was at 4:30 and got a call at 2:50 saying they had to cancel. I am so mad I wasted gas and my time to make sure I would be early and then it gets cancelled. I tried to call to make the appointment and no one answered so that's why I scheduled online. What a joke. I don't ever want to go to a place that cancels appointment an hour and half before appointments when there one cancel policy is 24 hours for you to cancel on them and I live 45 min away and always get to appointments at least 20 min early if it's the first visit, so I DO NOT FEEL LIKE 1 1/2 is enough time to cancel on someone because A lot of people are out of town that leave early just in case there is traffic or if they get lost. There was no excuse given on way they cancelled, just that she had to reschedule. Seems like a very unorganized place. The owner did call the next day to apologize, but nothing he says is going to make up for the hour I wasted to drive there and the gas money I spent. Even if he offered 3 free massages I wouldn't trust them to actually waste my time to drive there again. read more

I've been to Kneaded Tranquility a good number of times, and unfortunately don't get to come as often as I'd like to. That being said, I just got finished with, yet another incredible one hour massage, from the owner, Aaron. I've been having upper back problems for about 3 months now, and have been benefitting from physical therapy a great deal. However, after having a really rough work week last week, I decided to treat myself before the start of another work week, and I feel so great! I've been fortunate enough to get massages all over the place; from Chicago, to Prague, to Cancun, to Las Vegas, etc, and of course a number of places here in PGH over the 6.5 years I've lived here, and Aaron truly IS one of, if not the best professionals I've experienced. The place is very quaint and clean, and is the gem of Crafton. I hope to return sooner then later! I would highly recommend him, and this business to anyone! read more

I booked my husband & I a couples massage for my birthday. Aaron was great to deal with in setting up the appointment. We arrived a saturday morning and Aaron and Gabby were waiting for us. He brought us into the massage room and made sure we were all set before coming in the room. We started face up and switched 1/2 way through our 90 minute massage. Both of our massages were wonderful and relaxing. Aaron really concentrated on the areas that i told him that needed extra attention. The only thing I would have preferred is that I had started on my stomach and ended laying face up. We would definitely go back the next time we are in Pittsburgh. read more

Gabrielle did a great job! I was stressed out and sore from a new job and I felt so much better after my Swedish massage. I highly recommend her. read more

Went to this place for a groupon. Aaron was highly recommended and I see why. He was professional and uses great strength combined with light touches and pressure points all to give a relaxing swedish massage. Everything felt amazing with the perfect pressure. Only reason why it is not 5 stars is because there was some noise from the office directly above the room (footsteps walking around, floor noises). It is not exactly an issue they can fix but it was hard to keep my mind relaxed and focused on the massage. Will definitely go back. read more

I made my appointment online. It was quite easy. The office was clean and calming. I was greeted warmly as I walked into the establishment. Zhané H did an amazing job! I had a 90 min Swedish massage. She was prepared with the notes I had made when booking my appointment and was very friendly and receptive to my feed back. I mentioned some pain and tenderness in my lower back. Instead of avoiding that area, she worked it out. I almost fell asleep twice! I'll definitely be back! read more

Zhane was amazing! I had a 90 minute deep tissue and she hit all the right knots. At the end, she even stretched my legs to help with my lower back pain. It was amazing! Can't wait to go back. read more

I had a hot stone massage done by Aaron. I would definitely recommend. Very thorough and professional.

Had a 90 minute massage with Gabriel and was not disappointed! She thoroughly went through my intake form, asked a few questions and then desired her method and what she recommended. While working on different parts of my body, she asked how I felt! Great first experience and I will be back! read more

I had an appointment for a 90 minutes hot stone massage on the afternoon of March 11, and unfortunately, I was highly disappointed and certainly won't return. First, it didn't start until 15 minutes after my appointment time. Had it run 15 minutes longer, I wouldn't have cared, but it only lasted 75 minutes. By 10 p.m. (my massage was scheduled for 4:30 p.m.), I had a huge red burn, including at least three blisters, on my torso because a stone was too hot. While I was told to let the massage therapist know if it was too hot, when I did say something, apparently it was too late. I wouldn't be so upset, but before the stone was placed on my torso, the massage therapist said, "This one might be a little hot." If she, a trained massage therapist thought the stone might be too hot, I can't understand why it was placed on me. (This was my first (and likely last) hot stone massage, and the therapist was aware of this before the massage began.) When I woke up this morning, which was 15 hours after the massage, I noticed that I also have a burn on my back. I like to see local businesses succeed, but I definitely won't be recommending this place to anyone. UPDATE: I just spoke with Aaron, the owner, who was incredibly apologetic and refunded my money. He also offered me a free massage. I don't doubt that this most likely is a good place to go for a massage (very clean, and the folks that work there seem to be really nice and easy going), but because of my own personal experience, I won't recommend it. read more

Awesome place for a massage! Everyone is kind and friendly. Very relaxing and worked the knots out of my back!! I definitely will be back!!

Aaron does a fantastic job at his craft. I never felt so relaxed. I will definitely be returning hopefully on a regular basis!! I know there is also a female massage therapist there too if some would be more comfortable with a girl. All I know is I was greatly satisfied with Aaron's work, being a first timer with a male therapist. Definitely recommend Kneaded Tranquility! read more
