She was very thoughtful and she asked me questions. She really worked hard on my lower back and gave it a lot of attention. She did also stretching and pressure points in the area and after two weeks of being in pain the few days after I got the massage, my pain was about 75% gone . This was the best decision I ever made by going to this location. You can tell that she is trained and skilled so kudos to Asia massage I really appreciate the great customer service as well. When I lived in the area I used to be a bit more of a frequent client, however since moving out of state, I usually only am now able to visit at the holidays and maybe in the summer. This is a great place for a massage. Within here, I tend to bounce around to different masseuses, and have been very satisfied with them all. They have been friendly, professional, and listened and then focused on the areas of my concern. I tend to like a lot of pressure during massages and have found that they are more than able to provide that for the duration of my appointment. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing with soft music or nature sounds playing in the background (like most places might have). I always head out of the room lighter and am greeted in the reception area with a glass of water by my masseuse providing me with 'after care' instructions like drinking fluids and resting, and once even some additional self-massage tips when I had a chronic back issue. Prices run pretty average for massages here. This is truly a studio focused on healing and wellness, and I am always happy to visit when back in town. As a fun note, they usually offer a small (but welcome) discount on gift certificates purchased in December which makes for a great holiday gift!

And, when I've paid that in the past, the quality has been no where near what I get from John. Again, he does deep tissue with me, but I'm sure there are a ton of different people on staff, with different tecniques and specialties you can request. I would, and will, suggest this to. The salon is clean, plenty of parking, everyone is friendly and the massage is very rejuvenating. You can adjust the temperature and pressure to meet your needs. You can stop it on problem areas and you're listening to music as you relax. No appointed or undressing required. On the way home from a work event, I noticed the sign for Greta and made a comment. My boss said that she loved Greta and highly recommended her. So, there you go. I called Greta a few days later and made an appointment for the following week. Unfortunately, she had to cancel the day of, which I was not happy about, since I was looking forward to my massage for almost a week! However, she had good reason to cancel, left me a detailed message and even called me later just to ensure that I received the message, indicating she didn't want me showing up and she wasn't there. Alas, I rescheduled and found myself there a few days later. I had to fill out a form, with the typical info about my health, medications, allergies, etc. She took a few minutes to discuss what I wanted done. I explained the issues I have with my neck, back, and shoulders. I also said that I wanted a deep tissue massage. She said that she tended to be heavy handed...later I learned that she was indeed! The whole experience was very relaxing, from the heated massage table to the lighting and music. It was probably the best massage I have ever had. She took a lot of time, working on my specified areas. I have found other people to do the same routine over and over, even though I have indicted things like, 'please take extra time on my lower back', etc. So, as I said, she is indeed heavy handed, which I prefer. However, so much so that I actually had to tell her it was a little much. But, I still prefer the heavy hand to the opposite. I left feeling like I really had what I asked for, and my neck and shoulders felt much better for a least a week. (Having a desk job, I tend to tense up a lot.) It is $55 for one hour, but it you ask for strictly upper body, it is only a 50 minute massage, because I guess it is a lot of thumb work. However, every other full body massage I've had had a point where they turned me over so they could massage my neck, shoulders, and face, plus the front of my thighs and stomach area. They did not do this here, so I would not call this a full body massage. Besides that, the session I booked was a 55-min session. When you're laying on the table, you have no concept of time, so when she told me that our time was running short, I was surprised since she hadn't yet gotten to my legs, feet, or the hot stones that were included in the deal they offered. And that's when she hit me with the "Oh no, an hour went by so quickly. Do you want to extend for another 30 minutes so I can finish the legs, feet, stones, etc" spiel. It is not relaxing to get asked to spend more money whilst in the middle of your massage. After telling her that I had somewhere to be and couldn't stay an extra 30 minutes, she quickly offered just 15 more minutes so she could do my legs, feet, and the stones. She kept insisting it was needed to finish everything and due to the language barrier and my people-pleasing nature, I relented. So I stayed an extra 15 minutes so she could finish the things she couldn't finish in the 55 minutes I'd booked. When leaving, I assumed I'd be charged for the extra 15 minutes but wasn't sure since she didn't say anything about an extra charge when she offered it during my massage. But when checking out, the price was $70 instead of the $55 deal I'd booked. Since she was the only one there and I had somewhere to be, I just quickly paid and left. But I now understand why many of the Google reviews have people saying they extended their massage time - since they are manipulating people into it. Either they cannot manage their time well enough to accomplish the deal they're offering, or they're purposefully going slowly to make you extend your time and pay more. Overall, I'm very disappointed. I was expecting much better based on their reviews and was excited to try a new place for massages. But I do not recommend anyplace that tries to upcharge you for no good reason in the middle of a service. Edit: Had to add to this since they responded to my Google review and also reached out to offer me a full refund and a free 70-minute massage, which I declined. Their response states that they sometimes offer additional time when they have free time. The woman who was massaging me actually left my massage room two separate times randomly when the doorbell went off, then apologized when she came back, saying that she was there by herself after the manager left and she was very busy today.
