We stopped by Kilwins Ice Cream in Pompano Beach, and it was such a fun experience! They were incredibly generous with samples and let us try just about every flavor before deciding. We ended up ordering the Butter Pecan and Dulce de Leche. The Butter Pecan was rich, creamy, and full of roasted pecan flavor. The Dulce de Leche was delicious and incredibly creamy, although it was a little sweeter than I expected. That said, I have a sweet tooth, so I still loved it--and even though it definitely wasn't the lowest-calorie choice, it was absolutely worth it! The staff was friendly and patient, making the whole experience even better. If you're in the Pompano Beach area and craving quality homemade ice cream, Kelly's is definitely worth a visit. Friendly service, and I love that they have the calories to show what you are getting when you order. This makes eating ice cream and fitting it into your healthy lifestyle much easier! Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the sorbet because I ate it too quickly lol. I got the mango sorbet which was really good and refreshing. However their ice cream is still good. My only complaint concerns the outdoor seating. There are several tables and chairs surrounding the establishment, but it appeared that many were occupied by individuals who were not customers. As soon as I arrived at the ice cream parlor I smell the ice cream cones being made. It smells amazing in here. The associate that took care of me was Marsha but she wasn't too nice. I asked for samples of the ice cream so I can taste which ice cream I want but she said she only is allowed to let me taste two small spoon samples. Masha was serving us the ice cream and we wanted to sample the ice cream before buying it and she was you guys are out of samples. Most Kilwin's locations have a good, positive energy, this one was no exception. I was walking past to my car, getting ready to head out this past weekend when I saw someone with a Kilwin's bag. My sweet tooth kicked in. I checked how far a walk it was from where I was at on the beach, and I found out this location was about a block away, on the beach! Since their customer service is so good normally, I was hoping there wasn't too many people when I got there. I was in a bit of luck as I beat the rush and had service as I walked in. Although I love ice cream I went with chocolate this day. I got the chocolate covered Oreos. But then I saw the peanut brittle and had to get a bag of their freshly made goods. I thought I was going to get out with just that but at the counter the gal offered me a free sample of the fudge. I ended up getting a slab of the dark chocolate fudge too. Sure it was a gratuitous amount of desserts, but I knew they would be loved for a week or so. The layout is nice and easy to get around. We walked over to the ice cream near the back of the store and I saw Perfect Apple Pie as a flavor. I asked for a taste and decided it wasn't for me but my girls loved it. I ended up getting a scoop of the raspberry sorbetto without trying it. It was the summer flavor but I didn't enjoy it and I hardly ever dislike raspberry sorbet. My girls commented that it tasted like medicine. I love this place! I was in the area, and stopped by to see their fudge options. They have lots of chocolate, ice cream and fudge available at this location. They also give out free samples. I already knew what I was going to order before I got here, so I didn't take a free sample. I ordered a pound of chocolate fudge, and it tasted like butter. It was very soft, smooth and fresh. It didn't even make it into the bag. I was going to try a bite, but ended up eating a lot more than that. I recommend stopping here if you're in the area. We were so happy that there was a Kilwins in Pompano Beach. We love going to beach towns in Florida because usually you will find a Kilwins. They are always decorated like an ice cream.parlor should look, and their employees are welcoming. Kilwins is known all over the US for their delicious ice cream as well as their fudge. Luckily, Florida has them from Key West to St. Petersburg. Kilwins offers a Buy 2, get 1 free on their fudge slices. So my daughter got the Sea Salt Vanilla Caramel Cream fudge slice, and I got the Milk Chocolate fudge. We haven't tried them yet but will later tomorrow. Since this is a tourist attraction, the parking is so-so. There is street parking, but you have to drive around for a while until a space opens up. There is a 2 story garage that is a block or two away. This is a busy touristy area with the beach, the pier, shops, and restaurants. read more

We walked into this place of course Quynh is supposed to be one of the best chocolate places and we were craving ice cream but when we walked in first girl, we talked to the right of us didn't greet us at all which no customer service whatsoever and then we proceeded to walk to where the ice cream was and again another girl came out not one word I'm sorry but in this industry if you don't greet us because we're customers and it's like us coming into your house that tells me I don't need to buy or give any of my support to these kind of places You need to really teach your staff on how to greet customers and treat them because they're so many other places around. Kilwins is a mom and pop confectionary shop that was founded in 1947 in Petoskey Michigan. Now the company operates 123 stores in 22 states. We have a number of them in South Florida where I live and I usually visit them for ice cream but they also sell a number of other confections. This Kilwin's is located in the Fishing Village, a six-acre site of restaurants and shops next to the new Fisher Family Pier. They carry all of my favorite sweets along with delicious ice cream. I highly recommend the caramel covered apples, fudge, and chocolate dipped cookies. I stopped by today to try a flavor of ice cream they created just for the pier called Pompano Pier Mud. It is a vanilla flavored ice cream with chocolate chips and swirled with caramel. It had a butterscotch flavor to it that I really liked. This Kilwin's is only steps from the beach making it the perfect place to grab a refreshing ice cream after a day of fun in the sun. Upon entry the girl at fudge counter invited us to sample. We tried 3 flavors and all were outstanding. Pumpkin walnut?!? New seasonal addition was O M G!!! Salted caramel fudge...fantastic too! Ice cream..soooo many choices! And you can sample those too. I needed 3 to make my choice, and the staff were happy to oblige my indecisiveness. After trying 3 "pie" ice creams: apple, berry and pumpkin. I went with pumpkin pie. It was so creamy and flavorful with real chunks of pie crust inside. It is by far my favorite ice cream. But you have to get there at the right time to get a fresh waffle cone dipped in Chocolate. Some stores offer fresh cones made daily. The last time I got Pralines and Cream, I got to the bottom of the container, where there were more pecans - yum! Came to the beach one night with my boyfriend to go for a walk on the pier and to grab some delicious ice cream. When we arrived it was already a line inside, this place gets packed especially on the weekends. I ordered a Dulce de leche and I'm not sure the name but it was like a vanilla-based ice cream with caramel nuts inside of a waffle cone. My boyfriend had the Shurbet that was really good too!
