This candy store was well organized and clean. Purchased strawberry puffs and peach rings which were weighed by the clerk and priced for a few bucks each. The clerk was not overly exciting but nice and offered free trial candy. Today's pick was the freeze dried Skittles which tasted exactly like regular Skittles so not sure what was the difference and she did not give an explanation. Played for a little bit with the plush pillows shaped like legendary candies which included M&Ms, Hairbo and Peeps.

IT'S SUGAR, a large candy store, offers an impressive variety of confections and specialty items for the true candy lover. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are eager to assist you in filling a bag with your favorite sweet treats.

We stopped in here after lunch looking for a little something sweet. We were their only customers. If you like gummies and the like, or you are a kid with an indulgent grandparent in tow, you might be happy. Prices are not cheap and those small bags for mix and match can wind up being very expensive unless you pay attention. The mix and match "loose" items are in the middle of the sales floor in bins in a several circular displays. Unfortunately, my favorites are dark chocolate and there were only a few choices. I also do like white chocolate (which I associate with my first trips to Florida as a child. Remember those white chocolate alligators?). And they had one white chocolate option that appealed. Okay. So I did buy something -- some dark chocolate covered almonds and two small chunks of white chocolate. They have pre packages candies on the wall shelves and a few are nostalgic brands. They even have a discount section (with a funny name). And gag gifts and more "adult" gifts. I'm glad I went. Now I know what they have.

Ever heard of a kid in a candy store....yup...that was me lol! I thoroughly enjoyed this store. It really took me down memory lane, from their candy cigarettes to their leggo gummies....I was in heaven. Try their candy box...you can fit as much candy as you want in a box for 14.99. Also between you and I....... I always appreciate anywhere that is exceptionally clean and aestically pleasing so that also made my heart happy.

Who doesn't love candy ? I do... And normally, I'd be writing how much I love IT'S SUGAR (or at least how much I love their nearly 100 other locations). I've been to numerous locations, normally to grab a quick sugar fix or to get a little to go along with a birthday gift. All the locations (including this one) have a great assortment of candy and novelty items that bring a colorful smile to any kids face... especially those 1 pound candy bars and GIANT gummy bears ! EXCEPT for this one time... Growing up, Halloween was an amazing time to dress up and beg for candy (I mean, trick or treat for candy); but over decades people worry about unsavory people opening those doors to our children... Over time, many cities along with anchor/hotspot shopping plazas or malls sponsor retail stores to hand out candy to Trick 'Er Treaters in a safer environment. The Promenade at Coconut Creek is one of those plazas... the outdoor retail plaza is home to numerous retails stores and restaurants including a movie theatre, a Cooper Hawk wine bar and of course an IT'S SUGAR. Sadly, I admit to being one of those adults that avoids the constant knocking of the door by going out with my wife and friends every Halloween... On this years Halloween, we were meeting a large group for a birthday party but we arrived early since we had no candy at home and kids were already on the streets in our neighborhood. We decided to walk around the Promenade and it was quite nice to see so many little kids in their costumes going in and out of the stores/restaurants; actually, many of the places had an employee standing outside handing out candy and delivery compliments to the kids. Seeing all that candy being passed out, made us think to grab a novelty gift from IT'S SUGAR for our friends birthday. We found what we wanted and were just finishing our transaction with the cashier when these two kids came in so excited and yelled from the doorway "TRICK OR TREAT" As I mentioned before, all the stores in the promenade were participating giving out candy as we walked around... EXCEPT for IT'S SUGAR ! The employee says to these very young kids, "DID SOMEONE REMOVE THE SIGN HANGING ON THE CHAIR BY THE DOOR?"... This is his response to "Trick Or Treat" to kids that were about 4 and 6 years old. The employee then says, "WE RAN OUT OF CANDY, SORRY". My wife is still by the register and replies to him, "you have a whole store of candy, and you say you are out of candy"... I looked at the dad who was standing by the door and yelled "The store says sorry but they ran out of candy" and I gesture my hands to point at all the shelves. The employee then continues with the stupidity, stating "WE ALREADY GAVE OUT 30 POUNDS OF CANDY AND DON'T HAVE ANYMORE TO GIVE OUT"... I'm sorry, but the store manager should never had made an employee say these things... A CANDY STORE that can't participate in the Halloween festivities, all while so many other stores were outside, happily bringing smiles to the kids. PS, I call BS on the 30 pounds

We wandered into the store after eating at a nearby restaurant. We just wanted to check out the circus peanuts in the window because they were in many colors and we'd never seen that before. We grew up knowing only the orange ones. We didn't plan on buying anything because we don't eat sweets and don't keep desserts in our house or order desserts in restaurants. Yes, we walked out with a small bag of candy. Yes, we ate all the candy by nightfall. Happily. Here's why - this spotlessly clean candy showroom had good looking candy. We were drawn to the malt balls, chocolate covered espresso beans and chocolate covered cashews. We were only going to get a couple of pieces but after seeing the variety we wound up filling a bag with about 30 pieces...not bad considering we only filled it a quarter of the way up...imagine if we didn't have any restraint! The guy who was working there could not have been nicer. He even offered us free sample tastes if we wanted. I'm SO glad we didn't take him up on the offer or we would have definitely filled the bag to the top! The chocolate was fresh, creamy and tasty. The nuts and coffee beans were also fresh. The malt balls ( a nod to our childhood) were far better than those sold in a box. OMG I wish I had some now. The store also had cute knick knacks, like a mug that said "Working hard so my dog can have a better life" - ain't it the truth? Our real challenge will be if we can stay out of the store the next time we eat at the restaurant next door! I'd say the only way that'll happen is if we walk down the block in the other direction!

It's a very super cute place but the prices are a bit ridiculous. Everything is super pricy and cost way more than what it would be if you bought the candies at Target or Publix. They were charging almost $7 for a small bag of Hersey's drops that you can get for $4. Cute store but not worth buying anything.

A great store to buy a gift or a sweet treat for yourself. It's also a great stop before catching a movie at Silverspot. They carry bulk candy and you can fill a bag from the assortment and pay by the pound. They also carry bags of all of your traditional favorites like Snickers, Starburst, and M&M's. They have bottles of my beloved Butterbeer as featured in Harry Potter. There is a whole section of Japanese treats where you can find green tea Kit Kat's, Pocky, Hi-Chew, and that delicious soda Ramune. They carry cute items for dog lovers like portable dog dishes and bandana's with funny sayings on them for your dog to wear. If you want a more adult gift they carry a candy bra and g-string. You can purchase a plush stuffed animal as well as greeting cards. One of my favorite sections is the retro candy wall featuring favorites from my childhood. The employees are friendly and the prices are reasonable so feel free to indulge. This store is filled with unique items. This is one of my favorite stops in the Promenade.

What a fun store! It's big, bright, colorful and filled with new & old school candy and novelty items. As well as some cool adult candy (like some with alcohol or funny sayings), games (mostly for the pool) and novelty items (alcohol shot gun & ice shot glasses gadget). It was sensory overload for my eyes. I was literally like half kid half adult shopping in a candy shop. I went through every inch of the store never having been in one before. I had loads of fun and found some cool stuff (above mentioned) for some fun in the sun this summer. The friendly staff girl at this location advised their Delray location had more fun adult stuff like those mentioned above. I can't wait to visit them and see what other fun stuff they may have. :))

This place is candy heaven, and it's great for ALL ages!! They have all the candy and chocolate that you can think of. I wanted every single thing but they charge by the weight of your items so I had to be careful lol. I loved the section for Japanese candy/chocolate, there's not many places that sell Japanese items like this so it's a great touch for fans of that culture. The sales associate was very nice and explained the different ways that you could purchase your candy/chocolate and she also explained the different containers or plastic bags that you can use. I love this concept and it's a great way to purchase candy, very innovative.

I bought my most favorite candy ZOTS(they are hard candy that fizzes when you have it in your mouth) I got one of each flavor(there were 4 Strawberry, Blueberry, Cherry and Watermelon) a dollar a piece! They also have authentic candy from ENGLAND.,..i left with a cadbury and a kit kat that was made in England! Dang it,,,there goes my diet!! I will be back to make my Easter baskets in a few weeks Zulily told me the store JUST opened 2 months ago.,,,,,i tried checking in but couldnt...i had to make the page for them

They always encouraged me to come back, and I did. Quality is OK day-of. Most of it needs to be eaten quickly. For instance their watermelon or mangoes wont be good after a week. That's fine but $5.99/small melon or $1/mango are almost as bad as publix. Not quite but almost. Where's the deals? If its expensive, Where's the high quality? I respect their game and wish them luck but sadly its a closed chapter for me. Its not that im not going to return out of spite, but I wont be returning simply because there's no point to. Theres no deals or anything amazing anymore. Best of luck
