For the grand re-opening they had free soft serve with a mini cookie for the first 100 people in line. We were 4th and 5th! We also bought two of their special doughnookies, one cannoli cookie and one cookies & cream cookie. We've been fans of Blueprint cookies for years so hearing that they now became Cookiehead AND there's a location less than 10min from home was music to our ears.

Dessert stop at Cookiehead Bakery (Coral Springs)…read more I was craving something sweet before dinner, so I decided to check out Cookiehead Bakery around 6 pm. I'll be honest--I was expecting a bigger variety of cookies (and maybe some brownies), but at the time they had about 8 cookie options and 2 muffins available. Flavors included: walnut chocolate chip, classic chocolate chip, sugar cookie, Nutella red velvet, golden Oreo cookies & cream, Dubai chocolate, and lemon blueberry. They also offer soft serve, milkshakes, and coffee, which is a nice plus. I went with the last Dubai chocolate cookie ($6.42 with tax). The cookie itself was a little on the dry side, but the chocolate topping was really good and flavorful. Overall: worth trying if you're in the area, especially if you want something different--but I'd love to go back earlier in the day to see a fuller selection.

When I went in person, the guy gave me one cookie that was wrong, but when I told him it was wrong he immediately gave me the right cookie and let me keep the wrong one, he was very nice too. Based on taste, the cookies tasted amazing. The inside of the store was nice and clean too. This is the location I go to most frequently and haven't had much issue.

We had to wait at the counter and call for attention just to ask a few questions. When a staff member finally assisted us, I noticed some hygiene concerns, messy hair, not tied back and visibly unclean nails which can make a difference in a food service environment - or maybe it was dough underneath the nails either way - nope. On top of that, the cookie we were hoping to try was sold out, which added to the sense of a disorganized visit since it was displayed as available. While the cookies themselves can be good, this location's service and presentation need attention. With improved staff attentiveness and hygiene, this could be a much more welcoming and enjoyable spot for customers. This is my second visit here and I don't see me going back, there are too many other cookie spots around.

Pure sugar chaos, childhood nostalgia, and theatrical madness in Coral Springs…read more Walking into Cherry Smash feels like you accidentally stepped into the opening scene of Willy Wonka, right before someone starts singing and a child learns a moral lesson. This place is a local legend, and for good reason. Cherry Smash isn't trying to be sleek, minimalist, or Instagram-neutral. It's loud, colorful, joyful, and slightly unhinged--in the way candy shops should be. You half expect Charlie Bucket to walk in clutching a chocolate bar and a dream. Let's be honest about the ice cream: It's above average. Solid. Creamy. Well executed. No complaints. But that's not why people line up. You come here for the atmosphere. Walls stacked with candy. Colors everywhere. The kind of visual overload that makes adults nostalgic and kids vibrate at unsafe frequencies. And when Halloween hits? Forget it. Cherry Smash decorates like they take October personally. Seasonal commitment at Broadway-production levels. The candy selection is elite--classic, modern, obscure, and delightfully questionable. Yes, they have bubble gum cigarettes, which feel like a time capsule from an era when adults shrugged and said, "Eh, they'll be fine." It's kitschy, it's ridiculous, and it absolutely belongs here. Seating is limited, but honestly? That's part of the charm. This isn't a linger-for-hours café. It's a pop-in, light-up-your-inner-child, grab-something-sweet-and-go experience. The kind of place where standing is acceptable because you're too busy smiling anyway. Cherry Smash isn't just an ice cream shop--it's a mood, a memory, and a permission slip to enjoy something unapologetically fun in a world that desperately needs more of that.

You have the option to order at the window outside, or, go into the shop to order. The moment you walk in, it very very overwhelming. Tons of trinkets, posters, colors, signs and memorabilia's and figurines everywhere! The more you look, the more you'll see. Staff seemed like they were there just for their paychecks, and not really caring for the customer service or offering their opinion or recommendations, the night we visited there was a good amount of patrons. There's seating off the right side of the shop and a few towards the back. They have a very wide selection of ice cream flavors. I settled for a dulce deleche, and it was just ok. We ordered that, and I took some pictures and left. The interior was too much for me, personally. Way too much going on.

The Magic Cow in Coral Springs has a 4.8-star Yelp rating, and their sister store in Davie is apparently one of the top 10 ice cream shops in the entire United States. So naturally, I had to see if the local legend lived up to the hype. (Spoiler: it did. And then some.) The moment we walked in, I was hit with that nostalgic mix of sugar, laughter, and magic that says you're about to make a very good life decision. The owner greeted us like old friends -- warm, funny, and clearly passionate about what he does. You can tell every scoop that leaves that counter has been crafted with pride. Now, about the ice cream. I went with the Carrot Cake flavor -- and let me tell you, it wasn't just ice cream; it was an experience. Folded into it were ribbons of caramel and bits of pie crust that somehow made me rethink all my previous dessert choices in life. One bite in, and I'm pretty sure I saw colors brighter than usual. My wife went for a combo of Better Batter Cake Carnival and Chocolate Batter Better, and to call it "excellent" would be an understatement. This flavor pairing was pure joy in stereo. I'm pretty sure she stopped listening to me talk for a good five minutes, which is the ultimate compliment to any dessert. Bottom line: The Magic Cow isn't just living up to its reputation -- it's churning out happiness, one scoop at a time. If you haven't been, fix that immediately. Your taste buds will thank you, your diet will forgive you (eventually), and your inner child will do a happy dance.

Today I took my kids into her store and we were warmly welcomed once again. She has over 75 flavors with a large selection of Italian ices as well. She has the cleanest ice cream shop I've ever been in and I love the seating style. You will not be disappointed if you stop in! At that time all of the Uncle Louie G locations were in New York or New Jersey. In seven years, he was able to grow Uncle Louie G from eight locations to more than 50 through franchising. This franchise of Uncle Louie G's opened in April on Sample Rd in the same plaza as Runyon's. It is owned by Andrea Mormile and her sister, Denise from Brooklyn, New York. The sisters were inspired to open Uncle Louie G's when they couldn't find the kind of icy treats they grew up on. Uncle Louie G''s menu includes 47 flavors of Italian ice and 33 flavors of ice cream including vegan, dairy free, and sugar free. They also sell ice cream cakes, milkshakes, smoothies, ice coffees, Belgian waffle sundaes, and ice cream nachos. For quality control everything's made in Staten Island, New York. They use the best ingredients like real fruit for Italian ice instead of sugar and artificial flavoring. The premium ice cream is 14 percent butterfat and the cheesecake pieces are made from scratch. I had the pleasure of meeting Denise when I stopped in on a steamy Sunday afternoon. The Italian ice is displayed in the cases closer to the door while the ice cream is further down. Ice cream flavors included Louie Big Blue, Brooklyn Cheesecake, and Apple Pie while Italian ice flavors included Oreo cookie dough, chocolate jelly ring, cherry chip, and Italian Dream. I was in the mood for ice and I sampled the cannoli, honey doo, and spumoni. I ended up choosing the spumoni but they were all great. I was impressed with how spot on the flavors tasted. I am still thinking about the honey doo. Sizes come in Brooklyn small ($3.50), small ($4.00), medium ($6.00), and large ($8.00). You can also purchase pints, quarts, and party buckets. I love that they have unique flavors that not everyone else has. This is a welcome addition to Coral Springs as the scorching summer rolls in. Check them out and welcome them to the neighborhood.
