Where to start...... Since becoming a Cuban Cafe franchise our lovely Frosty Point has gone steadily downhill. The prices are exorbitant. I've been to 2 other shops that sell Ice Cream Club ice cream and this one is by far the highest priced locale. The service is lackluster. No enthusiasm, no chatting, no personality. This used to be a fun place to go (Darlene) but not any more. Today I went in and was charged an eighty cent CC fee. What?! Yup. No sign, no warning. I had that refunded immediately. So so sad!!! The shop has been sold to new owners and I can tell you it is not the same!!! The aura walking in is negative now!!! They changed all the regular scoopers to extra small ones so now you get less ice scream! I'm not lying the new scoop is the size of a small soup spoon. Toppings don't bother asking because you will get very minimal! For how much the ice cream cost it's not worth it! The new girl who took care of me seems to come from the hood of Hialeah! Very negative attitude!! This was one of my favorite ice cream location to go to and now I will never come again! There were customers outside complaining about the same thing I was!!!! The locals are not happy the shop was sold to such negative owners! The original owners made it so welcoming and regardless how expensive the ice cream was we had no problem paying to support our local business owners! I'm so disappointed and sad. I would have given this ice cream establishment 5 stars for the taste of the ice cream alone. Abundance of flavors that were all very creamy, but this review isn't only about the ice cream itself. There was only one person working on a Saturday afternoon, so be prepared to wait. As she was making our flight, the phone rang and she left our flight on the counter melting, as she serviced the phone call (not something I can necessarily blame her for.) What was more concerning is she was trying to fit 6 scoops of ice cream into a small Styrofoam container....after I realized what she was doing, I asked if she could at least separate them into two different containers. So you can see from my pictures in one of the containers, there are 3 scoops all smashed together on one side, cause she was going to try and smash the other three right next to them. And then in the second container they're all laid out nicely. This is so bizarre to do, because they're all getting stuck together and melted with one another. The birthday cake next to my cookie dough, and my mint next to my German chocolate and chocolate raspberry, was not at all a pleasant experience. Minus one star. Minus the second star because in the cookie dough was a piece of Styrofoam that I had put into my mouth. This did not come from the Styrofoam that the ice cream was sitting in, which means it was mixed in with the ice cream. I didnt make a fuss about it at all, stuff happens, but please be sure to do better and quality check. Overall, the ice cream was good, but presentation and quality are severely lacking. read more

Wow. How could they have been in this location so many years and I'd never been? Just not a street we go down very often, I guess. Someone recently came here and posted about their coconut ice cream and it caught my eye. I like everything coconut-- especially ice cream. Even though we were way south in Fort Lauderdale, I couldn't pass up driving all the way north to this sample road parlor. As we were getting out of the car and even before we entered, we were warmly greeted by the owner. Our timing was good as it was between several groups of beach goers and folks with kids. We perused the offerings and made our selections. I chose their toasted coconut, naturally, with a hint of captain's chocolate. He had their lemon sorbet with a bit of watermelon. There's no inside seating at the moment (due to covid), but there are seats and tables plus a bench for seating outside on their patio. We made ourselves comfortable and chowed down. We were both very happy with our choices. As promised, there were lots of pieces of toasted coconut in my ice cream and it was delicious. He liked his lemon especially -- nice and tart and palate cleansing. So glad we finally got to try this place. If you like ice cream, this one's for you. read more

I spend 20 minutes trying every flavor in that establishment and Darlene had knowledge about all the flavors. I'm so annoying I ended up getting chocolate and vanilla on a waffle cone like a square. We have loved stopping by Frosty Point almost daily during our recent trip to visit Florida, and every single flavor was a hit. Butterscotch Bomb and Stellar Coffee were our overall favorites, but Mackinac Turtle Fudge, Black Cherry, Cappuccino Chip, and Blueberry Cheesecake (the featured flavor) were also good. You can even get your ice cream cone to go -- the owner will throw the cone in a to-go cup and call it a "witch's hat" if you want to enjoy your ice cream later on. 10/10 would recommend; it's a great ice cream shop and it's following all the current COVID-19 protocols to a T. read more

So after a nice dinner with my friend at Bonefish Mac's we went down to Frosty ice cream for a cone they were about to close I think but the lady behind the counter was very sweet and said no come on in! we each got a delicious ice cream cone my girlfriend German chocolate myself, banana and rum raisin a great combination. I think the owners should know!! On 5/17/23 at 3.30pm. Great ice cream HORRIBLE server. This lady was the rudest moodiest horrible lady ever. I even asked her if she was having a good day as it was so awkward. She didn't even acknowledge me. I went in with my Mum and 7 year old son to treat him for getting amazing grades. She made the atmosphere horrible. We were trying to make it a nice experience but it really wasn't because of her....well we made it fun and the ice cream was great! Great ice cream option but the inside was closed still for Covid protocols so you could not eat inside. They also had a small kid merry go round but it was closed as well. I had the chocolate chip cookie dough and a scoop of coconut almond fudge on a waffle cone, the ice cream is so good and creamy! The flavors were spot on as well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only thing is that you can't eat inside yet due to their own COVID restrictions, (seemed very strict, masks are mandatory and they only allow 6 people in at a time, also they have signs to stay away from the counter, and there are no more local mandates in Florida) so I had to eat my ice cream outside and it happened to be very windy. Overall great place ! Once they loosen up restrictions and open up the indoor tables I will be back! read more
