I noticed the long line and the great smell coming from there made me want to stop by and we were greeted by the nice staff and offered to sample their ice cream. I got a scoop of their limited time apple pie flavor it was very good! I went in the very next day to get a scoop of caramel sea salt so good. I am happy I stopped by the first time because I will be in again tomorrow to try another flavor.

Got the caramel apple with peanuts. Total was about 10-11 bucks. Typical price for tourist area. Worth the smile on the face though. Lots of other pricey chocolate item and ice cream. Staff are nice. You can walk around the pier or while eating your snacks. Or they have lots of tables to hang out inside to chill.

I scream for ice cream! When I saw Kilwins at Navy Pier, I immediately went inside and looked for what flavors were available. I already knew Kilwins from a different time from different city before, so I knew they have delicious ice cream. I really like caramel ice cream, so that's what I got. And it was delicious! They also had fudge, and different types of candy apples, and some other chocolate candies. Employees were attentive, asking if I needed anything and offered answering my questions. The shop doesn't have tables or chairs but outside you can find plenty of sitting places. I love good ice cream!

Very long lines, the aroma from this place is what had me go in to buy ice cream. Ice cream amazing.

I smelled this place 30 ft away!

Whew Chile! It's a lot going on here! First off, this is probably some of the best I've cream I've had in my life. The CEO must know it too.... The prices really make you question life. Like how can this be? $7 single scoops and $13 sundaes? OUTRAGEOUS!!! The line is ALWAYS long, but it moves fairly quickly. Count on a 10-15 min wait. The employees aren't overly friendly...not rude, but you can tell they'd rather be elsewhere. I went 2 days on a row because I was staying on the pier and the ice cream is just damned good! Both times they were out of something someone in my party ordered so that's a fail. I know inflation is real, but if they came down a bit on the cost, I'd be a fan for life!

On a usually for Chicago hot fall day, I absolutely had to stop for gelato. It was too inviting and the queue outside seemed a testimonial of quality. I had a nice big scoop of chocolate with roasted (or was it toasted?) coconut and sitting on the bench outside overlooking the lake I enjoyed every spoon. I think it will taste just as good in a cold winter day. An absolute must try on your walk on the pier!

    Small size!

Service was terrible, and rude. I asked for a kiddy size and they got me a small for $9! Extremely overpriced, especially since the ice cream wasn't even that good and was really stretchy. Bad ice cream for a terrible price.

August 6, 2023 located in the heart of Navy Pier in the food court. After having lunch we decided to get some ice cream after passing by. Got a cone of Kilwins track and Georgia peach flavor. Both were good. Staff is nice, service was good, and place was clean. They also sell chocolates, caramel apples, and cookies. Happy eats!!

The store has nice layout but very unprofessional. I can't say it's all the employees fault because the store is ran by kids. I drove about 35 minutes to this location to get taffy apples for my little sister to be disappointed by the lack of leadership which lead to a return that could not be processed because " mom was not in". The young lady who was over the store, the errors I observed like rolling eyes, or sighing when my sister wanted to pick out the type of apple and cutting the apple un proportionally could be overlooked but I had concerns when it was time to process my return, I had to call back on 3 separate occasions on 3 different days because "mom was not in. " I will commend the young lady tried her best within her scope to salvage the issue of refunding the apples. The reason for my return was due to the fruit itself was not sweet. Since the apples were like 15 a piece, we wanted good quality since we didn't buy at the grocery store . Therefore we decided to return . The young lady did offer us the option to get something else but since our purchase was specifically for apples ,I requested a refund. If the service was exceptional it would've left such a lasting impression we prob would've kept the apple just to support once we learned it was a black owned business. I'm leaving a review as every business owner especially being black owned takes pride in running their business & wants to ensure it's ran well that exceeds expectations . Also as a small businesses owner, even with multiple locations you take pride in delivering a service hat builds rapport and long term associations with high quality of service, even if a competitor is cheaper, near and more convenient you're choosing to go to a business due to wow experience, magic moments which demonstrates shared values & objectives that money can't buy. High quality service can't be bought . So I hope the owner "mom" sees this so she can get the right leadership , training and direction needed for the success of the guided development of her successors character, personal and professional development. More Grace & Much Favor !

I agree with the other reviews: Generally great stuff, but marked up quite a bit for Navy Pier, I think it's less at other locations, but this is standard for the Pier. The amount of ice cream in a double waffle cone was generous at least, staff were nice a minimally communicative, similar offerings to other Kilwins in the city. It wasn't too busy when I went, after a Shakespeare theater performance of The Notebook (which was also sickly sweet)

Horribly overpriced and not great quality to back it up. No prices shown on the wall should have been the first clue. I ordered a strawberry shake - when I paid for it (after it was made) I nearly fainted when they told me it's was $16!! This location is just here to fleece people who have limited options here on the Pier. For$16, I was expecting an amazing shadow, but was sadly mistaken... It was very runny, and tasted as if the milk had gone slightly sour.

Kilwin's is a chain but good quality throughout each location I've been to and taste great. 3 stars because this is a terrible location and very small. Not real way to even know where the line starts and most people coming in are confused. It's also crazy busy because being on the navy pier. Although Kilwin's is usually pricier but to have consistent quality and taste, worth it

Let's address the elephant in the room: Yes this place is incredibly pricey for ice cream. I don't know where it stacks compared to other shops worldwide, but for me, it was the most expensive ice cream shop I've been to. A single scoop in a cup came to a little over $8. I know right, ! But let me be clear. If it was justified to be that price, then I would say that it'd be worth it. The single scoop would have to be a gallons worth or the ice cream would have to be the best on the planet. Sadly neither suited for today. The ice cream was definitely pretty good and if high quality, but it did not induce a joy-gasm that I would have wanted. The scoop was also fairly large, but not $8 large. The ice cream flavor (Windy City Mud, or something like that) was recommended by the employee who said it was popular. It made sense since the container was almost out. All in all it is a little overhyped as there were plenty of people lined up for this thing. It sure suckered me in! If I do feel like spending another $8 on some ice cream, I'd definitely try a flavor I KNOW I'd like just so I can see how it compares with other ice cream shops or take home brands.

$10.79 + TAX for a single scoop of ice cream. I am amazed they can charge that price for average ice cream. This place is a ripoff.
