Okay now the real talk, because this park is so amazing, parking fills up quickly. Many families come out here for BBQs and to just have their kids play on the playground or in the water. There is a ranger station onsite, they come out once and a while to check on the area. Heck they even manage the water via boat, we were told that we had kayaked into a private waters? We didn't know? Oh well! Despite some challenges, we are in love with this park. It's truly a gem. It's all free, you bring what you need to have fun.

The parking fee to enter the whole greater park is reasonable especially with all of the things you can do in Coyote Point. One of the cooler playgrounds we have seen, clearly this was really well thought out. Having the 3 story castle really got our daughter excited as soon as she saw it. The dragons to talk through to each other is really unique. Our daughter had a blast playing here and meeting a couple of kids early in the morning. Well maintained park, clean, seems to be a pretty safe spot. As a parent chasing a 4 year old the fencing between the big kids and little kids area was pretty annoying since it lacked gates where I would expect them to be.

There was a play area here, along with a good sized picnic/BBQ area that's covered. The restrooms were really clean, which is a great sign for a park. The walk-in path is at Kehoe Ave & Kelly St. There's also a driveway leading to a common parking lot with Bayside Academy. It's not clearly marked, and it looks like you're driving into a school campus. So, I parked on the street. Based on the photos someone posted 12 yrs ago, this park hasn't changed much. It's looks fairly well maintained, and pretty clean of litter and dog turds. It has a cool walking path that goes by the Mariner's Lagoon. This community park is a nice place to rest, exercise, walk your dog, or just take a break from urban life. Located at 2111 Kehoe Ave, in the City of San Mateo.
