This is not a huge playground, but still ample space for kids to run around and burn off some energy. There is plenty of street parking available. The park has onsite bathrooms, although the bathrooms are not in the best condition. There is a big grassy area right next to it, I saw people hosting birthday parties there and having Paddock Park available right next to the event is a convenient option for the kids to go to. read more

Paddock park is such a fun place! Theres a basketball court, open grass field but it is along the road so you must be cautious with your child running around for when cars passing by. Theres is a toddler area for little ones and sand which is definitely a plus! Parking can be challenging because it is right between a residential area. read more

Love this small playground in Foster City neighborhood. The park is nice maintenance and clean restrooms on the side. The park is designed for younger toddlers. My 4 year old son always has fun, but my 6 years old daughter wants to play something more exciting. If you have 9month to 4 years old kiddos, this is a nice spot to let kids to run around. read more

With a toddling baby, I am currently scoping out all the fully padded playgrounds in the Bay which is how we ended up here! The playgrounds are all enclosed together. There's a larger kid and a toddler structure, 2 baby swings, a big net climbing dome, and a small sand pit to the side. There's not much shade on the larger play structure. Bathrooms and water fountains are currently open. And there is a small field to the side as well. Numerous benches, but we only saw 1 picnic table. Street parking only. It's located in the middle of a ginormous new-is apartment community so is also a nice neighborhood to walk around in. Another plus is it's walking distance to Blue Bottle and Tin Pot Creamery. great experience here with my 2 and 4yo. parking is street parking, but there is usually plenty of it on weekdays. the entire place structure area is gated/enclosed which is a plus. There is also a larger field outside of that where a lot of dogs and adults were spending time. Very clean and well kept! the sandbox large enough for several children to play so I would recommend to bring more sand buckets! My kids had a blast in there. read more

Parking can be a nightmare but I love that this park because it's GATED. It also has something for most ages (baby-11 yrs). Padded floors, two baby swings, sandpit, two playgrounds, and picnic area outside the gated playground for a fun day! Review #107 - 2018 After we picked up our drinks from Teaspoon, I decided to bring my daughter to play at Paddock while my buddy headed back to work. I yelped for the nearest playground and even though this one wasn't the closest, it rated highest out of all the local parks. This park is perfect for stay home moms who live nearby. There's a huge housing community here so I'm sure most of the women who were there with their little ones live nearby. The playground was nice and clean. I love that they have padded flooring because I saw one little girl, about 3 years old on a monkey bar fall down. I noticed she was calling out to get her mom's attention, but by the time I had reached her, she gave up and just let go. I quickly picked her up and checked, she was perfectly fine. I wish we had a nice little playground like this in our neighborhood so I don't have to drive around looking for a nicer one. They also have a half court for older kids who enjoy basketball, which my son would definitely appreciate. I may just consider buying a home out here for the pure convenience of having a nice playground. read more

Enclosed play area with multiple structures, padded playmat surface (so much better than sawdust!) and a pristine white sand area. - Tot structure with stairs to slides, a bell for ringing, steering wheel, climbing tunnel - baby swing area - sand play area - large big kids play structure with swings as well as large tunnel and curvy slides - rope climbing structure We'll definitely be back here. What a great little park! We met up with a friend, and my 7 year old loved it. There is a good variety of things to do here, and the play area has a little gate to keep younger ones in. I'm not a fan of the sandbox, but other than that it is a good park to go to with young kids. If you have older kids, there is a basketball court for them to play on. read more

Went here with my LO on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Great play area for little ones. They have a sand box, but I didn't bring sand toys at the time- so bring your mini shovel and pail. The little ones there shared some of their beach toys with my LO - that was nice. There's also a dog park right next to it so good for pets too! read more

We like it okay (used to like it more). I like that the playground is enclosed. Kids can run free in the park. The ground is soft and is crawling baby friendly. However recently I have noticed many many ants in the playground crawling on the play structure and in the sand bar. I have to keep helping my son to get ants off him. In addition, one of the play structures has a suspended walkway and it always causes a traffic jam. Some kids don't understand wait/take turns and can unknowingly push other kids off the walkway hence falling down the floor. Overall, okay park to go but not worth it if have to drive a long way. read more

My first reaction to my friend's statement "Let's meet at Paddock Park" was "Where?". Granted I'm not a parent, so I'm not in search of the greatest place to for a play-date, but this park was a nice surprise. The park is located just on the other side of the housing development near Whole Foods. While the park is definitely not as big as Ryder Park, it is new equipment and a slide/playground set for toddlers as well as older kids. There is also a single picnic table outside and some concrete siding in which people use to sit on while they watch their kids play. While it can get hot due to lack of shade, it's still a cute little quite park. While busy at times, it also offers a small sand pit and also has restrooms for cleaning up the kids after playtime. While I wouldn't recommend this park for a party or large groups, it is a small park perfect for weekend play. read more

This is a really nice park, and rarely super crowded even with the rapid housing boom in the local area. Lots of people moving here, especially with the current new offices being built as well as being near the Hillsdale Caltrain station which is an express stop in and out of the city. The real downside to the park is that there's no shade and you're far enough east here that Karl doesn't usually make it this far to cool things off/keep you from getting sunburned. Hats and sunscreen required for the little ones* and street parking is available and plentiful. Lots of big open grass fields as well if you're watching kids of disparate ages. Play area has latching gate, so a good place if you want to sit and stare at your phone for a few minutes' break while being assured your kid isn't wandering into traffic. * - as well as us old, bald folks. read more

Brought a 6 and 7 year old here and this place wound up feeling small and the kids got bored very quickly. Not sure why anyone would go here when there's Central Park nearby. Nice space, but just not enough variety to make the trip worth it. read more

My son loves going here. He says lets go to Orange playground. Its clean but not sand area. It has gate, therefore kids couldnt runaway. 2 separate areas for bigger and smaller kids. The slide is too small for parent to slide together. read more

Now that I have become a proud papa, I'm starting to review 'new' spots. This happens to be one spot the family has really enjoyed visiting. As someone else noted- they have Monday afternoon events that include live music. Whole Foods typically sponsors the healthily snacks. The padded playground area is nicely laid out with new play structures for the younger and older kiddies. Some of the climbing structures are European which is evident by their design. Very cool. Easy and plenty of parking. The one thing I worry about is once the entire Bay Meadows development is completed- this little gem will be overrun and crowded. Hopefully by then, my little tike will have outgrown this place :) read more

A great park for all. First, the park is probably the newest in San Mateo. There are still new homes being built around it. Second, the park is a good size, and it is gated! The playground equipment is well thought out and includes lots of interesting activities. It even has a decent sized sandbox on the side. Outside the gate there is also green space and new bathrooms. About a block away is a huge soccer field. read more

This park is very new and well maintained however fairly small, so older kids could get really bored quickly. I'd recommend it for kids under 5. The families there were very diverse and very nice. I felt safe there and appreciated that it was in an enclosed area with restrooms nearby. read more

This is a nice local neighborhood Park but once everybody has moved In the neighborhood who knows how this park will be, overcrowded? Good play structures lots of shaded sitting for the parents but one thing is when my three-year-old was running around they have trees located in the middle with cemented curbs and I could see this being dangerous as he fell down and bruised his forehead when he was around the tree. Boys will be boys, it's a great little park and it's also gated so your little ones won't get away. read more

This is a good sized enclosed playground for the kids. There were two play structures for different age groups. Plenty of parts of the play structure to explore. There were a couple of swings and a sandbox as well. There were quite a few families there but the park was large enough that it didn't seem too crowded. read more
