love this park for my 5 and 3 year olds! It's nested in a residential area so there isn't dedicated parking lot, but a handful of spaces available right in front of the play structure. there are swings, toddler and big kid play areas. Everything is enclosed which is always a plus for me! There are plenty of picnic benches, large enclosed grass lawn to run around, basketball court and bathrooms! read more

Great playground for kids! The playground structures are a bit older, however it is still unique and different for the basic play structure. In addition to the main structure, there is a small structure for young ones, a small sand pit, and swings. I like the the entire playground area is fenced, and that it is padded with that soft bouncy turf material. There was a sign that they were re-surfacing at the end of this month. There are picnic tables outside of the fenced area with ample shade. There is a hand sanitizer dispenser, and bathrooms are also currently open. The other awesome thing about this playground is that it is essentially connected the Laurie Meadows Park which has very new play structures, and a dog park. So this is a great options for kiddos that are easily bored and need a change of scenery! read more

A tale of two parks. What appears to be one large park in this quiet San Mateo suburb is actually two: Casanova Park to the north and, separated by a creek and a short footbridge, the larger Laurie Meadows Park to the south. Casanova Park has a decent list of amenities: * A cool-looking play structure * Regular swings and bucket swings * A half basketball court * Lots of grassy space to run around * A BBQ grill and picnic tables * Restrooms More amenities including a fenced dog park can be found over at Laurie Meadows. When I visited recently, the play structures were closed off, the bathrooms were shuttered, and the grass was looking a little unkempt. I'm sure we're all eagerly awaiting the day when the COVID-19 lockdown is over and we can again enjoy our parks at their best. Nonetheless, these two parks even in their current state are a terrific asset to the neighborhood. Enjoy the outdoors and stay safe. read more

Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, this quiet park is great for toddlers and young ones alike. There are two fairly new main play structures and a nice padded mat: - one play structure geared more towards toddlers with a slide, tunnel, mini fruit rock climbing wall. Underneath it houses a mini kitchen, a bead maze and slot machine - oh, I mean spinning picture board. :) - the other structure is larger with 2 curved tunnel slides, a mini fort and a fun twirly seat. In addition, there are infant swings, regular swings, a sand pit (w/ water spigot)... Conveniently off of Hillsdale Ave - this can be a quick kiddy energy drainer on the way from the mall. read more

Nice little playground. I like that it's gated off, has swings, a small sand area, a toddler and older kids structure and rubber mats instead of tan bark. There's bathrooms and a basketball court right outside the gates, a decent sized grass area right outside the gated play structure area with picnic tables and benches. Only downside so far is that there isn't a parking lot. It's residential parking. We came on a weekday afternoon so got parking quickly, but not sure how it is on weekends read more

This park used to be old and really out of date but the park reopened a few weeks ago with a brand new play area! The new playground has a great play structure with a lot of interesting swings and things to climb on. There is also a sand box area too. The ground is made of this soft rubber so kids will not get hurt when they fall. There is also a nice lawn area to play on, picnic tables and a bbq grill. The park also has a half court basketball court as well as a bathroom and drinking fountain. I give it 4 stars though because there is not a lot of "kiddie" things. This park is geared more towards elementary school kids. Luckily there is a park geared for toddlers a few yards away at Laurie Meadows park. read more

Really nice small park! * Modern and interesting playground equipment for toddlers and kids-all in a gated area that includes a mini-sandbox. * Shaded picnic area. * It technically has a basketball hoop, but I would hesitate to call it a half-court, as that part of the park seemed poorly maintained. * Bridge over the canal to Laurie Meadows Park. Cons: Park is on a cul-de-sac with almost no parking available. No big deal to park a block away and walk though! read more

What a great little neighborhood park for kids and families! I was hired by a family to bbq here (www.Grillaxin.com) for their daughter's 10th birthday party. There is a reserve able picnic area good for parties up to 50 right next to the play ground. There was plenty of shade and a large field adjacent to the picnic area for additional tables chairs and picnic blankets. Its not a 5 star review because there is limited parking. read more

Brand spanking new, beautiful and exquisite playground for the kids. I love the fact that there are 2 play areas (one for smaller kids and other for bigger kids) plus the sand area. The entire thing is enclosed in a fence - extra safety!! Also another huge plus is the grounds are cushy rubbery materials to make the landing soft. There are grassy areas and picnic tables for family to enjoy with the small bathrooms. Only 4 stars because I didn't see a parking area (street parking is what we found). I guess I just found a nice spot to take my kids to enjoy the outdoors. read more

couple of years back they completely renovated this park so the play area is much more up to date and nicer than the adjacent- Laurie Meadows Park. It is also enclosed with a gate which is very good for keeping all the children in one place and from running out into the street (which is very close). Also it is not a "sand" park- its a new modern soft surface park- better for now a days- you never know what's in the sand- especially since children want to run around barefoot. The soft surface is good for the many falls, bumps, and bruises. My MAJOR COMPLAINT- I have been here twice when there were STRAY DOGS on the loose. The first time animal control was already there trying to round up 2 large stray dogs- they have owners that apparently don't fix their gate- so their dogs run out and rampage through the neighborhood and park. I felt safe since animal control was there. The 2nd time- I was scared for my life! I was walking across the bridge from Laurie Meadows Park to enter Casanova Park- with my little semi aggressive (just barks, no bites) terrier (10 lb-er) and my 6 year old cousin. I see two stray dogs running back and forth along the fence where the creek is- then I see another join the group! So a total of 3 LARGE stray dogs. My dog starts barking- so those huge LOOSE DOGS start barking. Yes I was scared for my life of getting MAULED! My little cousin was going to cry and literally thought we were going to "die". We ended up turning around and I tried to call animal control but couldn't get through the line. I frequent Casanova Park quite often because I walk around Laurie Meadows trail and seeing that many strays OFF LEASH, that FREQUENTLY, is a turn off! read more

Nice park with enclosed play structures for 2-5 years old and for older kids. Bridge connects to Laurie meadows park. Kids love the ducks and the dogs - since Laurie Meadows had a dog park we meet a lot of friendly dogs. As always ask the owner before approaching any dogs. read more

Nice secluded park, doesn't get much traffic which is nice! My toddler loves it, couldn't get enough of the tunnel & big kid slide.
