Awesome park. One of my kids favorites. There are basketball hoops, a skate park, kids swings as well as baby swings. Lots of stuff to climb on and slides for all ages. There is also a rope bridge that is really neat. It is a perfect park for birthday parties, events, or just to take the kids to play. It is also great if you would like to have a picnic or relax under the trees. We love it.

After our next door neighbors told us about this park being quiet in the morning, I swung by at 730am before heading to the San Mateo Farmer's Market this past Saturday. The park is between the tennis courts and the basketball court, so it's closer to park on 28th Ave instead of turning into the parking lot (although, to be fair, riding back down to the parking lot along a curvy, gradually sloping downward foot path and then a large empty parking lot was fun). The skate park itself is pretty small. There are a few ramps and steps, but no bowl. It's good for beginners to practice going beyond pushing around on flat ground. I practiced "dropping in" a few times from the top of the ramp, which is not too long or steep (it's still terrifying when you first start doing it). It's also a good place to learn how to shift your weight around when rolling up to a ramp and then going back down. Will probably be back every few weeks and will probably bring the kids at some point as well.

Such a great clean park! I've seen this park a lot on Ig and my kiddos and I had to check it out. We are located in the South Bay so we had to drive over 30 mins to get here. There is plenty of street parking and they also have a small parking lot close to the school that is near by. A huge lawn area for kids and dogs to run around. They also have plenty of picnic benches near the toddler area of the playground. There's also more picnic benches with bbq pits near by. They have two bathrooms which were both clean. There's a nice walk way where people can walk and ride their bikes. The hey do have a covered picnic area. The hey have a skate park, three baseball fields, and a fitness area too outside. The park is huge with plenty of swings and toddler swings. This park doesn't look like it's an all inclusive park which is unfortunate. They have a bunch of climbing areas. My family and i would def return here. We came during a week day around lunch and there wasn't too many people here.

great park for the active lifestyle...largescale park in san mateo...tennis and bocce ball courts appears to be busy...playground is also very popular...climbing structures, ropes bridges, slides and netting....a skate park for the more daring...baseball diamond and recreation center...this park has it all...

Fantastic place to take your over 5 plus year old kids. The climbing structure here is the best I have seen in the Bay Area. There is also a small area where kids can skate/use their scooters.

Review #281 - 2018 After we finished eating lunch, I decided to take my daughter to the park so she can play on the playground. We showed up around 1 PM and there weren't too many kids around, but there were a few other adults walking their dogs around the park. The playground is nice and really big so my daughter had a great time playing here. There was a group of mentally disabled people that were there and the guy who was responsible for watching them didn't actually keep an eye on them. So, one of the guys, who was about 20 years old, around 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds comes to the small children's playground, where my daughter was playing and scared my daughter and a few other kids. I don't have any problems with him being there, but the fact that he's so much bigger than the kids made them uncomfortable & even an older lady was spooked by him getting too close to her because he was trying to touch her when he saw that the back of her pants was sitting kind of low while she was sitting & you can see a portion of her panty showing. Hopefully, whoever that guy is that's in charge of watching over them will do a better job at doing his job.

Awesome place for a show

one of the greatest kid park in the area. I would recommend to anyone, and do a picnic, biking with the family.

Ask the Community - Beresford Park

Does this park have restrooms?

Yes it has bathrooms

What time should I arrive to get a couple picnic tables without a reservation on a Saturday?

8 or earlier. However most parks and recs rent out their picnic spaces especially for weekends so best to call park and rev Dept

Is this park accommodating for a small company picnic that will be catered?

There's a lot of space at the park. You do need to reserve the picnic tables however, and you can do so at the San Mateo Parks & Rec website.

There was a lot of parking when we went on a Saturday afternoon. They had a few parking lots scattered in the area. There are a lot of picnic areas that you can reserve for the BBQ grills. There were plenty of bathrooms scattered throughout the picnic areas. The one I used was relatively clean and had plenty of toilet paper. They have a lot of trails here where you can bike or walk. You can watch the planes go in and out of the airport above you! There are also a lot of birds hanging out in and by water if you want to bird watch. I was hoping to catch some sea lions but I guess they weren't around. There is unfortunately a lot of powerlines in the area that would spoil an otherwise nice view but what can you do. I also saw there was a yacht club by the water! I saw you could rent the facilities for parties (not sure if you had to be a member or not).

$6 for parking and you get access to the entire recreation area…read more Lots of families posted up for their parties and gatherings here, so keep this in mind that some of the lots will be full. My most favorite part of Coyote Point Recreation Area is the CuriOdyssey, which you can see my review for separately. Although this is a beach, it's unlike any beach that I've seen in SoCal, at least in my area. Pretty green, murky, and muddy, I wouldn't say it's the most ideal to go into, especially if you're not going to immediately shower afterwards. I don't think I saw people in the water either, even with it being June, but the breeze and cooler Bay Area weather kept everything nice and mild. Most people were flying kites or just going on walks. There are rentals for wind surfing and there were a couple people suited up for that. I heard there was a cosplay gathering here and it made many a cosplayer's outfit green though...There are playgrounds for the kids, a good amount of trees, a couple trails, a marina for the boats docked there, and some monthly/seasonal community events as well. I don't think I'd normally visit this area if it weren't for the CuriOdyssey, but it's not bad when I am there.
