A open space park with a nice play structure. We brought our dog but had to be leashed. There was a clean bathroom facility outside with a compact hand blowing station. Next to the play structure is a preschool, (Village Park Cottage preschool), which makes it convenient for the active preschoolers to get their exercise & energy out.

nice play area...

nice little park with a field to the side...only saw the field driving along california for 20 years...finding a good little playground once driving in to the neighborhood...modern play structures with slides, stairs, climbing, spinning and more...quite compact, but has more than many of the local parks in the area...benches for parents to relax...parking is a bit limited along the residential streets...

Very clean park, very flat, large grass area for group games and soccer. Enough trees for shade (perfect for picnic with babies, and a very nature feel. Looks like a nice play structure area but I didn't really walk close enough to inspect it. Village Cottage preschool sits in the middle of the park. There were a good amount of kids, but not over crowded so I don't know if those kids are from the preschool. The entire time I was there it smelled like cookies baking, but I'm not sure if it came from the preschool or not. You can hear the train pass by once in a while. The weather was pleasant. I would come here with my baby again.

This park was really nice. The play ground was very clean and it also had a huge grass area with lots of tress. Which is a great place to have a picnic if you just want to sit out in the grass area, but they also have tables as well. It was hard to find it at first when I drove to it because there was a fence around it with bushes kind of covering the park, I'm assuming they did that because it's a Main Street where lots of cars drive pass it, but once you walk into the park you forget that there is a Main Street. Which keeps the kids from running into the street. My kids had an amazing time at this park. The playground wasn't too big where my 2 and 3 year old had a hard time. I've been to some parks where the playground seemed kind of dangerous for toddlers. But this one was perfect. Too bad we don't live in the area otherwise I would take my kids there all the time. If we're in the area again I definitely would stop by.

Cool little park for the kiddos. Taken the little one here a few times. Little one likes it. Good slides . Kinda dirty but what park isn't?

Review Highlights - Village Park

There's a nice blacktop for basketball or other activity, an enclosed little kids area, and a kid-favorite merry go round type thing.

There was a lot of parking when we went on a Saturday afternoon. They had a few parking lots scattered in the area. There are a lot of picnic areas that you can reserve for the BBQ grills. There were plenty of bathrooms scattered throughout the picnic areas. The one I used was relatively clean and had plenty of toilet paper. They have a lot of trails here where you can bike or walk. You can watch the planes go in and out of the airport above you! There are also a lot of birds hanging out in and by water if you want to bird watch. I was hoping to catch some sea lions but I guess they weren't around. There is unfortunately a lot of powerlines in the area that would spoil an otherwise nice view but what can you do. I also saw there was a yacht club by the water! I saw you could rent the facilities for parties (not sure if you had to be a member or not).

$6 for parking and you get access to the entire recreation area…read more Lots of families posted up for their parties and gatherings here, so keep this in mind that some of the lots will be full. My most favorite part of Coyote Point Recreation Area is the CuriOdyssey, which you can see my review for separately. Although this is a beach, it's unlike any beach that I've seen in SoCal, at least in my area. Pretty green, murky, and muddy, I wouldn't say it's the most ideal to go into, especially if you're not going to immediately shower afterwards. I don't think I saw people in the water either, even with it being June, but the breeze and cooler Bay Area weather kept everything nice and mild. Most people were flying kites or just going on walks. There are rentals for wind surfing and there were a couple people suited up for that. I heard there was a cosplay gathering here and it made many a cosplayer's outfit green though...There are playgrounds for the kids, a good amount of trees, a couple trails, a marina for the boats docked there, and some monthly/seasonal community events as well. I don't think I'd normally visit this area if it weren't for the CuriOdyssey, but it's not bad when I am there.
