I ordered the katsu chicken ramen an shared the magma roll. The katsu chicken wasn't your normal golden brown coloured exterior but nevertheless tasted really good. I thoroughly enjoyed the ramen after I heaped on some chilli flakes. This isn't readily available on the table so don't forget to ask if you're a fan. The soup was pretty delicious and I almost drank my bowl dry. The magma roll was a bit disappointing though. Not as hot as I expected. Having salmon and canned tuna pieces together probably isn't the best idea either. The tuna definitely out ways the salmon even though it's the salmon you really want to task. Overall a great place for a ramen fix if you are ever in western sydney.

I tried the black garlic shoyu ramen and it was really good. Just a right amount of noodles for me and the soup is flavorful. The takoyaki is a stand out for me, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. (will highly recommend it). My husband tried the Yasai ramen (vegetables) and it was really good. For $13.90 a bowl a ramen, I'd expect it to have more than one piece of chashu...and a hot piece not a cold piece. It's $3.80 for 3 more pieces of chashu, meaning ~$18 for a bowl of ramen for 4 pieces of chashu. It would be a fair price if it were say Ippudo, but this place isn't even close. On top of that the egg was way overcooked. Meh. Manpuku takes a page out of Ramen Zundo's book and offers a Red (chili) and Black (soy) ramen and they also use bean sprouts and cabbage. Not necessarily bad, just different. The best part of the dish were the noodles since they're al dente...but overcooked egg, cold chashu, and a tepid broth make this place one I don't plan on frequenting again.
