It's not worth it!! I loved this place when it opened. It was fair priced for gently used clothing and gave a great rate for your clothes. The employees were polite and helpful. After the new owner took over a couple years ago, this place really went downhill. I was in today to look for some items and noticed a group of snow pants and bibs in the front. They didn't have much for older kids but a lot for younger ones. They only had 2 sets of pants that were above 4T. Luckily, it was a size I needed. There were multiple tags, one with a hand written "10-" on it. Even the brand new bibs (listed for $28) originally were reduced to no more than $20 so I thought this was great. Apparently, the other tag showed a $32.99 price which is what was rung up. The initial cashier agreed that the $10 should be honored, but the other employee said not to honor it. I asked for the manager who came over and said there was nothing she could do since the $32.99 was the price on their system. I disagreed and explained that they inspect each received item with a fine tooth comb so if they left an incorrect tag, that was their mistake. The manager again said there was nothing she could do and that the $10 tags wasn't "their tag or system." I said that I felt this was still their mistake and false advertising. After a few more minutes, she changed the price to $10 and checked me out. Again, this was after telling me twice that she was unable to do anything. This business obtains its inventory by paying pennies on the dollar for excellent condition items and then selling them for 5-10x the price. You are required to wait in store, sometimes for over an hour, while they pick through your items only to be told they could give you $20 or $30 credit. They will not give an itemization - just a flat amount. Then, when it comes to giving any kind of customer service to you as a purchasing customer, they turn a blind eye and "can't" do anything to hep. read more

Wow, just wow. I stumbled upon this place while getting some take out nearby. I was floored by the amount of inventory, both new and used. Clothing racks are three rows high + stuff on an additional wire rack above. All sizes and seasons. An entire wall of Valentines and St Patty's day clothing and accessories. Plus the largest selection of Melissa and Doug I've ever seen at one store. There's rows of baby equipment, strollers, toys, maternity.....hair accessories and on and on. I'm convinced if you can't find it here it doesn't exist! Not consignment but cash or credit buy outs. I was so excited to find this place albeit 2 hours from home that I called my daughter....she told me there's two locations closer to home in York. Definitely going to check them out and you should too! read more

Drove over an hour for $1 clearance items (by advertisement) which amounted to 1 item in the size needed. Boys size 6 picked over-minimal choices-attempting to outfit a child for school. Boys toys non-existent-one dinosaur with leg broken off in bad. Dinosaur rug $45.99 with 3 felt dinosaurs. No sign on door that bills larger than $20 not accepted-on sign at register that had the line highlighted in yellow under return policy, which was behind another sign. Staff immature/inappropriate in nonverbal body language and verbal comments--behind the counter processing donated items (eye rolling, whispered comments about an upset child in the store who was yelling/screaming) and was taken outside the store to de-escalate. My family and I left and patronized other stores in the area. After this experience, we will not visit/support this business in the future. read more

Be very cautious when buying baby products from them.... On March 30, 2024 I purchased an infant car seat from them..... I later was told it had been recalled so when I looked it up myself I was sure it was part of the recall but I called the company just to make sure before I contacted the consignment store..... After giving the company all of my information from the car seat they needed and then sending them pictures through email they assured me that this car seat was part of their recall a recall that they had issued nearly a year earlier in May 2023...... when I called the store the first time I was assured by the employee that I was mistaken and they did not sell recalled products.... I then followed up a few days later with a second phone call to the store at which time I asked to speak with the owner or a manager.... After being transferred to her I told her my situation and she assured me that this item was not recalled when I told her that I had already contacted the company and had emails from them guaranteeing that this was a recalled item and that I would like to get a refund..... I was then told I would be issued a store credit if it was within the 30 day time frame that they allow for returns which it was not because I did not know of this recall..... After quite a bit of persistence on my half I was being allowed a refund of cash possibly...... First she needed to see the emails and my information proving it was a recall which I had no problem providing them with...... So fast forward to this evening when I took the car seat back to the store for my refund along with my emails from the company and other printouts showing the recall...... the girl that they told me I needed to go back and speak to at the register was not very polite and copped an attitude almost immediately....... But after providing my receipt and all the tags that were on the car seat when I bought it she proceeded to go about her business and start some type of refund..... Then I told her that the company wanted me to cut the straps and black out the label and sent them pictures to ensure that this car seat did not end up in recirculation again by accident...... She then told me that I could not do that because if they were refunding me the money it was no longer my property and I could not destroy their property...... I laid the email down on the counter and told her this was the email from the company including a name of the person requesting this along with their contact number and extension if they had any further questions they were free to contact the company........... She refused to even take a second and look at the email she did not care what it said all she kept telling me was if I was getting a refund I could not destroy their property........ And when I continue to say that the company wanted this done to make sure that in no way this happens again she assured me that they would be trashing the car seat and it would not be resold......... But if that was the case what did it matter if I myself or even her cut the straps and blacked out the label right then and there? Needless to say I left with my recalled car seat and I will be out the money from them I spent for it....... I totally understand accidents happen but it's also their responsibility to make those accidents right again which not only included a refund to me it included destroying the property to ensure nobody else got a hold of this car seat and used it not knowing of the recall and someone's baby got hurt or even killed......... So if you buy baby products from them I highly suggest you do your research and make sure it isn't recalled because they're not doing their job and protecting their customers the way they are legally obligated to. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would.. NEVER SHOP HERE. Terrible customer service, Assistant Manager's attitude isn't great either. I purchased two items cash yesterday and was not given a receipt. Went in to return them today thinking they could look up the transaction since I have an account there and I put my phone number in when I bought the items. She proceeded to tell me that there was no proof I bought the items in the system and she closed out the cash registers last night and If I actually paid for the items then their drawers would have been off last night. Then she proceeded to keep the items that I bought yesterday! I will NEVER shop there again. Also took in 4 items to return and their return policy is a joke. Only store credit or you can sell the items back them. Assuming so they can give you less for the clothing and still make money by selling them again at the same price. read more

Left with a bad taste in my mouth. Brought in a several very nice Janie and Jack shoes (read like new and usually $50 each new) , Riding Outfit (including a blazer that retailed for $80 on its own), and dresses (one was J&J and $50 new) and was credited $20 some cash or $30 in store credit.... Ummm I could sell each pair of shoes on EBay for $10 each. For that price would have just donated the whole lot and felt better about it! When I asked to at least get my shoes back (i.e. cancel the transaction), I was told it was already printed and done. So obviously I took store credit and bought a few items. I didn't use my full store credit and now I am unsure I want to bother driving back to use it up. Seller beware! Sell on EBay or Facebook marketplace, skip the middle man and stress of an unpleasant experience. *** update*** I decided that I just couldn't leave with the situation as it was and went back in to the store to be firmer about wanting my items returned and that the items should not have been tagged and processed before I gave my consent to sell. I was able to get my items returned-both those I sold and those I bought. I am much happier with this outcome. I still question how they arrived at their prices (considering I sold them 19 items!?) when they claim to buy items for 1/3 of the sale price. So the conclusion is that I am happy now, but still wouldn't shop or sell here. Even consignment shops will pay 50% of the sale price when an item sells. Just food for thought for future sellers. read more

I have Went here Many Time in the Past. They have nice Employees,& Good Service. NOT ANYMORE.... I Have Never Done Anything To This One Employee but every time i would go in to sell my items she was rude straight of the start.. Again Never Had this Problem When I First Started Shopping Here. They Do Have a Couple Nice & Respectful Employees- Rosella, And A Couple New Girls. I have A question When did this new policy Start - I was told 30Mins Drop off "if i stayed in stores". I stayed in the store for 1hr30mins Decided to walk up to the corner to see if my buy was ready. Was told It was be Another 45Mins. How is that Possible?? When i first dropped off i was told 30Mins If i waited in Store? Then after being in store for 1hr30min. It was past lunch time1:00-1:30. I walked up to the corner told them me and my son were going to get lunch due to it being past lunch time and that they told me false information. I told the girl we would be gone 30-50 Mins Max Probably( The Times she quoted me to finish my buy.) ""Was told me that if i leave the store they could buy whatever items of mine that they want for whatever Amount they Wanted/And I Had No Say.. They Would Put my return back in My bags And That Was It." When Did this Policy Start? Before you could drop off and pick up whenever you wanted within the same day and they would Quote you a price for your items you could actually physically see the items you were selling the company and get paid no problems. Not ANYMORE!!!! Now They Don't Even Want to Show You Your Items Your Selling Them For There Set Price Of Money Don't Waste Your Time Or Money With This Store I Have Started To Go To Once Upon A Child- Harrisburg,PA Been A customer with them for two years now and have no yet had a problem. I definitely recommend all of my friends/Family to Once upon a Child Harrisburg PA. read more

Owner was very rude and arrogant to me on the phone. Didn't care what I had to say at all.

Big selection of clothes, not much of a selection of anything else. I took in 20 outfits with tags on as well as a bouncer in great clean condition. Was given 30 in credit which was 1/2 of what I paid for the bouncer alone. While the employees are nice, it wasn't worth it read more

My mother who is RN has medical issues with mask. We weren't rude, but a box of masks were shoved it our face, in stead say would please put one on , it was said rudely was told that if we want to check out a mask had to be out on, I put one on was going to offer to go infront of my mother and check out with mask on, but instead of that the same ingronat person who is manger / owner came up with a rude , ignorant, disrespectful attitude said you have to have a mask on, my mom replied with the same attitude that she can't breath with one on. Instead of let my mother speak about our plan decide to once again talk over my mom and say rude and loudly that she had to put one on or we couldn't check out. My mother tossed the item in cart as did I and walked out. The rude , disrespectful, ignorance it what the problem is. We walk in with 3 people at register looking at us with no mask stood there for at least 10 min look at close then proceeded through the store with out one complaint from anyone period until we came back up to check out. I going to Make this clear I would have step in front with mask on and paid for our item , but we weren't given the opportunity to tell this person that what was going to happen before we were interrupted and pretty much yell at. Never shop here read more
