I found a pair of Kelly & Katie Tahada-HF in platino shimmer sand fabric with a wedge heel. Plus, they were only $29.99, and without tax in Pennsylvania. I'm loving my new sandals, and they look great with my gown. Home run! The check-out clerk was personable. She encouraged me to join DSW's Rewards Program but wasn't pushy when I declined. (Would've if there was a store closer to home). The store had a good collection of styles in my size, and merchandise was displayed in a neat and orderly manner. Parking was plentiful and free.

I spent maybe 5-10 minutes looking for the items and went to where the 2 employees were moving items from one rack to the other. It was only when I was 4 feet from one of the employees that they acknowledged my presence. I asked for help regarding finding similar items to those online and she said no they don't carry size tall. When I told her tall wasn't necessary she pointed to a pair on the sale rack said others were on a table in the front. That was it. No, how can I help? No, let me see if there is something else that could work. No showing me the table she referred to. I just left and won't be back. Since I still need pants, I'll find somewhere else to spend my money.

I was fully prepared to walk out of there, and half expected that I would need to, since my 2 year old tends to get wiggly in stores. Which of course she did. No surprise. She helped me find items quickly and even used my phone to check if items were better to buy in store or for pick up in store. Without her I would have left with nothing. NOW, The atmosphere is so fresh and upbeat. It's a breath of fresh air walking into the store and all employees are kind, respectful and helpful. Even the store manager jumps in and helps. Prices are great and you can always find a sale. The store is fully stocked at all times and if there is something they do not have all you have to do is ask and they will be sure to order it. I've had some health issues this past year that has made it difficult to walk. I need shoes that stay on my feet (flip flops and no back shoes are a no). Sadly I love these shoes and the owner has made it a point to keep watch of shoes that will fit what I need and keep them in stock. This store is much smaller then the other stores since its located inside the JcPenneys. They have fewer selections but still have what I need. They also will give you samples to try out and make sure it works for you before you purchase the full price item. If you purchase something and realize its just not for you, you can take it back with receipt for a refund. They have trained makeup artist on hand to give you tips on the products, most will actually show you how to apply it if you're lost like I was. I'm really a fan of the Tarte liquid foundation and the Urban decay naked palates. If you are a beauty insider every mouth or so they send out coupons for free trials on different products. If you are into makeup or just starting out. I would say try it they can help you!

The employees are all trained makeup artists and they can help you with anything from finding your best foundation color match, to a full makeover. Also, you can take home a sample of pretty much any product in the store so that you can try before you buy. Let's face it, good cosmetics are expensive but sometimes you just don't want to take the risk of hating the products. They also always give out samples with your purchases, and beauty samples are a girl's best friend. I definitely recommend heading to Sephora for all of your cosmetic and skincare needs And don't forget to get your Beauty Insider card. The perks are fantastic!
