So many TJ's have too much floor and not enough stuff. This one had the right amount of merchandise and the right amount of floor. The racks were well stocked and pretty decently organized with a surprisingly large menswear department. As is usual, some stuff very expensive and a couple of bargains could be had if you looked carefully. Staff was helpful and the checkout line moved relatively quickly. read more

This TJ Maxx is new, so it's nice to have a store like it in town. For starters, some of you who visit Marshall's in Hagerstown may be a bit disappointed. This TJ Maxx (sister company of Marshall's) is a bit small. However, unlike Marshall's, this TJ Maxx has a large jewelry counter and purse selection. The men's section is disappointingly small, but I have a feeling that TJ Maxx is marketed mainly toward women. Luckily, the housewares section is large and extremely well stocked. When the store first opened this August, the housewares section was sparse. Now it seems like they're finally getting caught up. They have a very interesting selection of gourmet non-perishable food items. The store has been opened long enough that they finally have items on sale, so that's also nice to see. While not as large as Marshall's in Hagerstown, this TJ Maxx is still a great addition to the community! I'll be back frequently. read more

Shopped this store on July 16. Some shelves are sparse but I found what I needed. Was very pleased to see every staff member wearing a high quality mask over the nose and mouth. No one that I observed touched her mask or face. (This was refreshing, given the opposite experience at Dollar Tree, where supervisors were actually the most non compliant. ) read more

This t j maxx looks like it recently went through renovations. The fitting room is beautiful with a tv and all. When I entered the store today I was greeted immediately which is always very nice and ask if I needed help finding anything. When I went into the fitting room I had pre counted my items but they recounted them. Then after I was done trying on my clothes and brought them back out the fitting room attendant made me count them again. This was very frustrating because I spend a lot of money on a regular basis at T.J. Maxx and it felt like they don't trust me and that I plan on stealing or something like that. It's nice to have this new store in Chambersburg, we need more variety for clothing and accessories. They had completely gutted the existing building so it's all brand new inside. The store is smaller than I thought it would be, but they have it packed full of stuff and you can actually spend a good amount of time in here. The men's section is seriously small. I was a little disappointed in that. The women's section is decent, good amount of active wear, too. Really nice selection of hand bags, purses, and day bags. Lots of more "premium" brands for those who like them. Wide range of designs, shapes, colors, and sizes. There's a small jewelry area, bath, body, and makeup section, hair section, and accessories. There's a nice selection of natural and organic beauty and skin/hair care items, so check that out if you're interested in that sort of product line. They have a decent shoe section, but it's very narrow and small, hard to maneuver with a cart. The housewares section is fun to look at. Again, wide variety of stuff. TJ Maxx is a good place to shop for a unique gift, they carry stuff you may not find anywhere else but online. The store had just opened not even a week prior to us going in, but it was running smoothly. Plenty of staff and cashiers and everyone was so friendly! I really like how they did the fitting room, they made cart parking! How ingenious is that? It's a little cramped when busy, but other than that it's pretty nice. Some prices seem too high, while many others are very reasonable or even a good bargain. I will be back, that is for sure. read more

Great staff here, I just wish it stocked more of the higher end names of clothing. The home furnishings section is a bit sparse and that makes me sad as that's what I love to go to TJMAXX for. The store is tidy and organized. read more

Full of interesting items for sale. Prices are average for a store like this. The clothing is a bit jammed with racks so full you cannot move the hangers. I always find a trinket or two. read more

If you hit them at the right time it's the best. Prices on decorative baskets is one of the best in the area. I love their home section, price on socks and so much more. This is a clean store and associates are friendly. read more
