My favorite place to go for grilled wings! I've gone several times, the waitress's are nice although the wait time varies. Sometimes the service is fast and sometimes a little slow. The food though has been pretty consistently good. Love the grilled wings options. Really enjoy the mozarella sticks. Fire cracker shrimp is good. Sweet potato fries are good. The nachos are pretty good and the pizza was surprisingly good as well. If you go, absolutely save room for dessert. The brownie with ice cream is a must have. Ordering the most basic menu items for my girl and I, which were the All-American Burger and the Firehouse burger, the only request we made was to cook to a medium-well. After sending it back, the second burgers were burned worse than the first. To add insult to the disgust, the manager claimed the burgers were cooked to a perfect medium-well. We visited this place during lunch btw 11:30 and 1:00 on a Wednesday. It wasn't crowded. The waitress seemed to be out of her comfort zone, but that's ok. What wasn't okay is the 1/2 pizza I ordered came out looking like it had been sitting out overnight. Nothing about it was fresh. First visit here and wasn't disappointed. It's a little loud (but it's a sports bar) but I liked what I ordered. Had the Philly cheesesteak with fries and both were very good. I added jalapeños to my cheesesteak, which was a great call. They also have a very good draft beer selection and on Wednesday's they have $3 pints (including local craft beers), which I thought was a good deal. Our server was attentive and offered suggestions to a few at our table that asked for them. We had 5 in our group and everyone was happy with their meals. This was my first time visiting this location. All I can say is worst service ever! I've never been to thrilled about their food anyway. But their drinks are always good. But this visit was horrible. I was there with a big party. My friend and I waited almost two hours before we were seated. Apparently their party room or event room is first come first serve. Which is fine. Hanging out with my buddy Tosha for her pre-birthday celebration, so we decided to give Kickback Jacks a try. This was both of our first time here. When we arrived, it was around 7p on a Friday night. There was about a 15 minute wait to be seated. Not to bad at all. The atmosphere was nice. It's a noisy place. You have TVs playing everywhere plus music playing and on top of that, plenty of conversations at each table. No complaints about the noise, just painting a picture for those interested in trying this place out. Our waitress was nice and what I liked best, she checked on us frequently and made recommendations. First we both just ordered water with lemon. For appetizers, we ordered firecracker shrimp and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Both of these appetizers came to the table fresh and hot and were absolutely amazing !!! I will definitely be back for these again! For the main dish, Tosha ordered the New Orleans Pasta and I ordered the Cajun Alfredo Pasta with shrimp. Plus we wanted to try the wings that they are known for, so we got 10 honey barbecue fried wings with ranch dipping sauce. Both pasta were delicious as well but I think we both got full on the appetizers, so there was plenty to take home for leftovers. I have to admit tho, I did not enjoy the wings. The chicken was dried out and they were chewy. Liked the honey barbecue sauce but not so much the wings. Overall it was a great experience, nice atmosphere, and good service. We had a really good experience here on a Thursday around 5:00 p.m. We were seated quickly and our waitress, Sydney, was very friendly. My husband had a burger and I had the turkey sandwich. Fries were excellent and had I known they were that good we would have ordered the cheese fries as an appetizer. Reasonably priced and both my husband and I enjoyed our meals. To be fair this place is a sports bar. It is loud in an empty echoey sort of way and has no atmosphere to speak of. For watching a game I am sure it is wonderful, there are TV's plastering the walls. We rolled in late to grab a beer and a bite. Kudos to them for the late hour of operation. The food was not that good. The pretzel sticks were well, pretzel sticks--nothing special or memorable. This is one of our favorite places to eat, but our experience tonight really takes the cake. Our waitress Sam B, had to be told everything from we need straws, we need napkins, we need silverware, etc. Her table side manor left a lot to be desired as she disappeared often and others had to pitch in to Waac our table and deliver our food. Ok so my first experience at the kick back jacks on broad st was AWFUL. So I tried midlothian because it was brand new and I had hope ! But.. that was short lived. I did not have a terrible experience but I also didn't have a great experience either. First, after the waitress took my order someone else brought out the wrong dish and insisted it was right. Five minutes later my actual waitress shows up and fixed the issue. So no big deal mistakes happen. When my new order came my wings were barely warm and my firecracker shrimp were cold to the touch. Well, it's been confirmed that this location is just as horrific as the one on Broad St, which is pretty impossible to be that bad. From the moment I went in and stood in front of the hostess, she never once looked at me and helped everyone that came in after me until I finally spoke up. She was extremely rude about it. We ordered our lunch, and the waitress had to come back 5 different times to confirm things. While we were waiting, we could barely get a word in because the place is ridiculously loud. Not the greatest crowd of people who eat there, and not the kinds of people I want to associate with in a restaurant. Rowdy, rude, lots of cussing, inappropriate for kids, etc..... We waited and waited and waited. Numerous times our waitress told us she just confirmed it was getting ready to come out. Turns out that was a lie. The manager eventually came over after an hour and confirmed they lost our ticket and is comping our meal. Kudos to them for doing that. They never did that at the Broad St location when they screwed up our order. We thanked the manager and told him we would need the food to go at this point, as we had things to do. Sure enough, the food shows up on plates. We told them to box it. They come back and only brought one box. We opened it up and it was someones leftovers. It took another 10 minutes to flag down the waitress and tell her what happened. Once she brought the food, I handed her my card and asked her to run $1 so I can at least put a tip on there for her since it wasn't her fault they lost he ticket in the kitchen. I also told her to let me know what the tab would have been so I could tip appropriately. She nodded, and said she would be right back. Of course, she came back 10 min later and had to ask what I wanted her to do again. I explained again and it finally set in. 5 minted later when she brings it back, there was no pen. Fortunately I had one. I signed and left. By the time I got back to the office, I opened my box and they never put any dressing on my salad. Fortunately, we had some in the break room. I ordered a classic hamburger w/ bacon. When I received my order, it was so beautiful. I bit into my fries and they were cooked hard. When I got to my hamburger, it was bone dry. It was as if someone took dirt and put it on a bun. It was horrible. I was a little skeptical the 1st time we came here but we came on a Saturday for lunch and sat at the bar and our server Christina put any doubts to rest. She was friendly, knew her menu and went out of her way to help with my food allergies. She even went to the manager and made sure what I was ordering didn't have garlic. Worst manager experience ever on battleground avenue. If you don't give them the right reason to ask for your dish to be cooked correctly or to replace it with something else you will be forced to pay for food you didn't eat. I have never witnessed a combative manager to engage in such an egregious conversation with a customer as I observed last night. This manager created a hostile environment and at times walked off mumbling in response to the person in my party. If they were the last restaurant remaining in Greensboro I still would Not eat there. With fairness I will first give some perspective prior to my review. I was alone. I sat directly at the bar. Customer Service at the bar IMHO is at a different level then sitting at a table with actual servers and more than one person has needs. My experience based on those facts was EXCELLENT. The customer service was great I had two bartenders helping me and the prices for beer on tap excellent and extended happy hours. The Televisions were all smart big screen tvs for sports to watch. Their hamburgers were AWESOME and their fries were EXCELLENT. They have those peanut oil fresh cut fries like the awsome one's they make at 5 guys and The Great Steak chain. To start off the service was horrible we entered to immediately be told that we would not be able to seated until we understood that we needed to Tip, because we were a party of 9 which in fast food is common sense because any party over 5 is automatically 15% in the restaurant industry. Last night my sister and I went for a late dinner at this local eatery. It was a little after 9 pm. The sign out front clearly stated" please seat yourself in the section ahead, carry out orders at the bar". No hostess was present at the moment to give silverware and menus. Upon sitting down, three waitresses walked by our empty table numerous times not acknowledging our presence. Mind you, there was a couple immediately behind us which, one of the party members had just sat down and his drink order was taken, a gentleman at a table in the middle of the section right next to us who was already happily full and a new table across from us who sat down at the seven minute mark of our 9 minute wait to at least be greeted. The new table top of four was immediately greeted, had silverware and able to place a drink order. It took the man sitting by himself to ask a waitress to acknowledge us. She finally came to our table and said " I don't know who your waitress is but, I'll get you some menus and take your orders then, I'll find your waitress. After 3 minutes the waitress who tended the four top after we were already seated came by to place our orders,etc. mind you, she walked past us several times to wait on the four top. For a minute there, I thought I was invisible. On to the food and drinks, shall we? My mango margarita came with no lime, ok, fine but, the waitress then asked if I wanted one and I said yes but, it never came. I ordered spinach and artichoke dip which was just over microwave warm and the center was cold. I did not send it back bc at this point, I'm looking at some "sug Avery" being stirred in or worse. My wings were fine and my sister enjoyed her wrap. It took forever to get our checks and for her to run our cards. We stayed longer than we should've and really had to. Here are a few pointers: If an area is self serve, the tables should be preset. Staff should be trained to acknowledge guests whether it is their intended table or not. Seated guests should be greeted and drink and app orders taken with Lin 30 sec to 1 min.( 9 min and 37 sec is just unacceptable). Be aware of your section. My waitress was standing around patting the top of her turban covered lace front when I came in,doing nothing . Serve from the heart, not from the head. While nice , my server and her cohorts didn't give a shit about us for obvious reasons. Dining out is about an experience and though the food and drinks were good, the experience overall was needless to say shitty. read more

In addition, when we were seated I noticed food in our seat and so our waitress Emily says "I'll give u a rag to wipe it up"... why would I wipe up somebody else's food ma'am! On top of that we had to keep asking her for napkins and then silverware for our desserts. If you want the food, get take out!! Sunday night: My wife and our friend went to this location tonight. Got seated and served pretty quick however the service did fade out pretty quick after that initial greeting. I ordered buffalo chicken dip however I got a cheesy chicken dip instead. There was no buffalo flavor at all. When I asked the server she simply replied that they have gotten that review several times and said that some people don't like spicy things...... (Personally-they shouldn't order buffalo anything if they don't like spicy things). I was told that she would let her manager know of my review. I'm used to a manager at least acknowledging a complaint- however minor- but no one came. A bus boy tried to be nice and clear our appetizers as we finishing up with them but since we still wanted some more we kept them. He never showed up again, and even after piling our dishes in the middle of the table our empty pile sat on our table the whole meal despite repeated refills of our drinks by our waitress or the other runners. Lastly I had ordered a side salad instead of French fries: when my meal came out my salad was not there. I notified the runner who notified our waitress who then brought me a salad. It wasn't that the food was bad that I'm giving a poor rating but more so the service was horrible. I live about 2 minutes from this location but would rather drive across town (30 minutes) to the broad St location where I have never been as disappointed. Lastly I would find it a courtesy when a restaurant makes a customer upset with the quality of the food or a mistake on the accuracy of the order that some remorse be shown on the part of the server or management.
