Worst service I have ever had. The 2 Managers on duty (Barbara & Connie) were very rude and nasty to my whole family. Connie went so far as to ask my dad to leave the restaurant only because he was sitting at a table. She got up in each one of my family members face and verbally disrespected each one. I would have thought after coming to Tripps all of these years I would have been treated with the same respect, especially as a paying customer. We had a party of 15 and instead of wanting to seat us and make us feel comfortable they would rather spit in our face. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I have never been so disrespected by a manager and general manager of a restaurant all over not having space for a 15 top party. read more

I went to Kickback Jacks on Midlothian today because I wanted some good food. I'm a regular here and was very disappointed. Well I walked in and no one was there to seat me. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting on someone to help me. Then the girl seated me. I waited as a few servers walked past me and didn't greet me. At this point I set my timer and if no one helped me within 5 minutes of me sitting there, I was leaving. And the place wasn't busy so no excuse. I ordered crab cake bites and baked potato. My crab bites weren't hot at all and not cooked all the way. My baked potato wasn't hot but I ate it anyway. Needless to say I will never return to this location. Poor service and room temperature food. Not my favorite place anymore. read more

The building is quite nice, extremely nice might be better. It's the best looking Sports Bar I've been In over the last few yrs. Three major rooms. One of those, the main room is LARGE w/ at least a couple of dozen large screen TV's. It has a large bar w/ lots of table nearby along w/ booths. The booths has dividers that are elevated enough to reduce the overall noise level. In one of the other rooms it has an area for smoking that is clearly contained to keep the smoke w/in that one room, which I might state has an indoor/outdoor area. The third room appeared to accommodate most group sizes for a birthday or celebration w/o smoke. This Sports Bar is a well laid out restaurant. Now, for what people will return for, the food. Pretty good. Very broad selection. We had an 8 oz burger each...quit large & well made. Mine was the Swiss & mushroom burger. My wife's, the classic. We both subbed a salad w/ for an up charge from the fries. Our visit was pleasant, as was our overall service & really good burgers. We most definitely will go back. They were busy but not slammed to the point where the service was affected. Great place to watch your favorite sports event. Could well have been 3.5 stars. read more

Met my boyfriend, and another couple for lunch at the midlothian location. I had to go orders ( we were all on our lunch break) I ordered the to go orders at the same time i ordered mine. I did not receive my food until the to go orders came out. Our drinks were not filled once and customer service was awful, not to mention the food took an hour to get out to us. This is not the first time this has happened, we will not be returning. read more

I have been to Kickback Jack's twice. Once was a girl's night out and the other was with my sister and cousin. Both times the food was delicious and the service was great. I love the bucket drinks. read more

We have only been 3 times and all 3 times the staff is bad. Waitress we had was ok. Started at front walked in was not greeted I had to tell them we were 3 people. Usually when u walk in your greeted and asked how many in a party not tonight. After we sat we watched several seating issues because the hostess have no clue. We watched a large party be served by 1 waitress. Watched another waitress drop salad dressing on floor and proceeded to pick it up and take it towards the table do not know if she actually gave it to them but she walked past empty handed. Watch manager walk around clueless. Oh by the way food was ok..service needs help read more

Unless you go for lunch...stay away! Food is ok then and service is not quite average....go at night and expect a totally different experience...I'll be surprised if they are still open in 6 months...not a big fan of going to dinner at a place that needs 5 Chesterfield police officers for security... #bringtrippsback read more

I wish I could give my experience here 0 stars. This was by far the worst service I have ever had. We sat there for 20 minutes before anyone came to take our orders for drinks/appetizer. The appetizer was brought 5 minutes after we had given the order. We were expecting the drinks to come before but we figured that they would shortly be following. Another 10 minutes passed and our waitress had walked by multiple times on her phone but paying us no attention. The drinks were never brought. We left $10 on the table which was more than the nachos and the nonexistent drinks. Don't go. Not worth it. read more

Our 1st time at this restaurant 2yrs ago was mediocre at best. Orders were wrong and poor service. Came today close to 9pm on Father's Day 2018, was seated quickly, but that was it. Totally ignored even after 10 minutes. They were not busy and I will go out on a limb and describe it as reverse discrimination. Even my husband felt it as the waitress walked past us at least 5 times without acknowledging us. So we left and enjoyed a great Mexican meal instead. We won't go back or ever recommend KickBack Jacks to anyone. It's really zero stars. read more

For this category of dining, I rated this store very high because food is better than old school rivals like Applebees and TGIF. For several visits now, the servers have been very attentive and they helped each other which is unseen these days. Although the outdoor patios are next to the pike, I really didn't notice the road noise while dining out there. Would only suggest playing more current music and videos. read more

This place is so loud! Great place to come to watch the game on those amazing tv screens. The food was good, atmosphere was so-so. Came here on a Friday and didn't realize that every Friday night they have police planted by the front door. Kinda hard to enjoy yourself in this atmosphere when they need to have police posted up in order to ensure people act in a positive way. read more

The service was normal. Food not so. Ordered dry rub wings, came back wet and pink on the inside. Sent them back to get what I ordered and asked for them to be cooked well done. The wings came back in a minute or so. I looked at the plate and there was the wing that I had taken a bite out of at first. I broke a piece of chicken off and they were still pink. With that said I was not happy. The least you could have done was take the piece of chicken off the plate that I had bitten off of. Needless to say I will not dine there again. Not sure how to rate the service, sorry. read more

I visited this newer addition to Midlothian's restaurants. I would really liked to have been able to give this place a full review, but after being seated quickly we were not even acknowledged by wait staff. This despite there being 4 waitresses were circulating in our small section. After 20 minutes, we simply left. I am not sure what the problem was and I really don't care, the wait was absurd. The bar seemed well staffed both inside and out, but we couldn't even get our drinks ordered. Would hate to see the wait on a weekend. read more

The staff is great with the exception of the manager. We were there to view a Broncos game and there was 1 small tv in an awkward seating area to view this game in particular. We requested could they change one of the 53 tv's to that game and she refused. Not only did she refuse, she acted as if other fans would be upset, and she sent her waitresses to explain this to us. There were three tables next to us, who all came to view Broncos game, and they requested the same thing. Food is great, Team under her is great! She is the issue! She refused to make one adjustment to accommodate 20 customers! Unbelievable! read more

This was very good. I was apprehensive about eating there because I loved Tripp's. But I found several things on the menu I want to try. The food was good and the service was good too. read more

I went here last night as part of a paint night group. The service, both in the larger restaurant and in the paint room, was stellar. Rose, in the paint room, took care of our every need cheerfully and efficiently. The other young woman in the restaurant was charming and efficient. Alas, I don't have her name. The food is what you would expect from a bar/meet-up/TV place; fatty, cheesy, uninspired and mostly hot out the microwave I imagine; what most Americans would rate as "awesome" I'm afraid. Not. That being said, the paint up hosts were professional; they set up the easels and paints, instructed us, were patient and fun, and then had to dismantle everything. Thumbs up! I have to wonder if it's a requirement from management that many of the young women have to wear very plunging necklines. I wasn't expecting Hooters. read more

I was visiting Richmond for the second time on business. A coworker from the area recommended I check out kickback jacks for dinner. After reading the reviews on here I almost didn't come but decided to give it a shot anyways. So glad I did! The parking lot was packed but I was seated right away with no wait. There was a mix of people - after work crowd, happy hour veterans and families - all seemed to be having a great time. Waitress was friendly and helpful since I had never been before. I ordered the stingers for an appetizer - jumbo shrimp in honey buffalo sauce. They were so good and came out super fast. Main course was the white pizza - pizza with ricotta, mozzarella, provolone, garlic, sausage and roasted red peppers. It was pretty good. Would definitely recommend to friends for a quick, causal sports bar dining experience. read more

This was the worst restaurant experience I have had in Richmond. The management staff treated our party of 16 miserably. The President of Operations, Jim S. could not reign in one of his managers,Connie who couldn't adequately explain why this restaurant was unable to accommodate us. (a group of 60 plus year olds, not a roudy group). Never got to taste the food because the management preferred we leave than try to provide any level of customer service. We did and were seated within 10 minutes with a smile at Buffalo Wild Wings, where they know how to provide customer service! read more

HORRIBLE experience. Waiting for table and had 4 groups who came in after us seated first. No explanation other than the alert buzzer must have been broken. When we were seated we waited for service that never came. I will NEVER go back. No one seemed to care about the service. Manager was too busy telling her staff what she was going to get for Christmas. Avoid this place at all cost. read more

This was the worst experience ever. They served us redipped chicken which was old and upon us realizing it we asked to have the uneaten portion of our wings remade and they refused it. So we told them we will pay for the chicken we ate but we wont be paying for the full 20 cause our chicken wasn't fresh. So they basically forced us to pay for it and we didn't get our remade fresh chicken we was humiliated by management and we was mistreated. I do believe the management at the store are RACIST as we was just completely mistreated and unsatisfied. We had money for our meal and a tip but after that situation we wont ever return. Then they had the cops chase us down midlothian. And stopped us to tell us that we shorted them 2.08 on our bill and they don't wanna press charges however they did ban us from the establishment which made me completely angry as we did absolutely nothing wrong. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS LOCATION....MANAGEMENT IS RUDE, RACIST, UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNEDUCATED ON WHAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE. read more

During my visit to Kickback Jack's Midlothian on Friday, July 6, 2018, I ordered a steak dinner without being informed that there wasn't a vegetable included or cheese for the baked potato because that would be an up charge or just order the meal that comes with all of that. Once my order came to the table, I let my waitress know that the meal wasn't what I expected and I wanted to return my food (untouched), back to the kitchen and the order be removed from my bill. She let me know that she couldn't take it back and would have someone come out to the table. Nicole, later came out to the table and let me know that she understood I wanted to return the plate because it didn't come with broccoli and cheese for the baked potato. She then pointed out on the menu where there was an upcharge for those items or I could've ordered a meal that came with it. Nicole also let me know that the kitchen was willing to fix the problem, but if the food was made right, that the patron would still have to pay for the meal because it was prepared. I explained that I would not be paying for it because I didn't eat it and it wasn't what I expected. Nicole let me further know that the cops would be called because I was not going to pay for a meal that was prepared. I stated that again I was not paying for the meal, requested a business card and also said that I would wait for the cops. Another manager, Danial, came out asking me the same questions as Nicole. I said that I was not going over the situation again and that I would like a business card. He then came back and forth to the table at least 3 times, but on the third time he left, came back to let me know that the meal would be taken off the bill and I would have to leave because they would be calling the cops. He explained that he didn't want to cause a scene because he thought that the situation was getting heated. I never got loud, cursed or was nasty. At the end of the interaction I just wanted a business card with their information on it. I was with 6 other people having dinner, but my time was cut short because of this minor situation. I left and waited in my car to see if the police had been called and they were. A Chesterfield County police car pulled up, the officer went inside and then left shortly after. This is just appalling that something like this would happen about a simple meal being taken off of the bill. Nobody should be bullied into paying for something that didn't meet their expectations, but also for a meal that they clearly didn't eat. I just wanted to share my story so that other locals can know and avoid the situation. read more

Went there at 7:30 on Sat. night so we could watch the 8:00 VCU game while we ate. It was packed, but we got a beer at the bar & had a table by 8. When the game was hard to see from our table , we asked the Mgr to put it on near us, Which she did right away. We noticed that not many peopel were watching sports inspite of TV's EVERYWHERE. Our waitress came right away & was Excellent. I ordered the ribs & shrimp, which for $1695 sounded incredible for a full rack & 6 shrimp! The shrimp were large & juicy , but not a lot of flavor. The ribs were the smallest rack I have ever seen- 2 "slabs" about 2" x 6". They were very tender & flavorful though with very little fat. They filled me up, but a BIG eater, which I'm not, would have been dissapointed. I got the cole slaw (large portion) abnd beans (small portion) foro sides. The beans had a bunch of ground beef in them....very strange. The fish & chips my wife got were good- lightly breaded & cooked just right. Overall, a good value & decent food for a sports bar. We'll go back, but during the week next time when it's hopefully not so crowded. read more

Kickback Jacks needs to go back to the customer service drawing board. A friend and I decided to visit the Midlothian establishment to scope it out as a possible gathering spot for a holiday gathering. We were seated by a hostess and then waited around for a server to stop by. Several servers passed by our table but not the one waiting on us. Eventually the server came by to take our drink order. We got our drinks and then placed our food order (the food was ok, I didn't love my dish but my friend liked hers). While the server was at the table I inquired about the party room and how we could go about reserving it. She said they don't take reservations for the party room. I asked why and she did not know. So I asked if there was a manager I could speak with to clarify the policy. The Manager towed the company line, yes she is right we don't take reservations for the party room. So how does one make use of the party room I asked. Well you just have to show up and see if it is available. Really???? So I said, what time do you open 11:00? So I should just show up at 10:59 to see if I'm first in line? Sorry he said, we can't make any promises. In fact we can't even sit your group of 18 together because we have a policy against pushing tables together. I thought I was on one of those hidden camera shows. Ok, come on out the joke is over. No joke. Even when I told him everyone would order a meal and it would be on one check. Sorry, we just can't do that. So, It is my opinion that Kickback Jacks policies will drive customers away and lose out on good business. By the way I called another large pub style establishment and they eagerly took my reservation and are looking forward to our visiting their restaurant. Needless to say my policy going forward is stay away. Sorry Jack read more
