Came across this place as I was walking to the Sacre-Coeur. I was craving an authentic banh mi on a real French baguette and I got it! Unlike most places this place is opened past 3pm. We walked in with my broken French and the lady was very accommodating! Hello body language and finger pointing.

We ordered a beef banh mi, a pork nem, and a chicken nem (Nems are fried eggrolls). Before we ate it I wanted to take a picture cause cameras always eat first. As I was about to take the picture, the lady came up to us, took the nems, and re-wrapped it to make it look nice. At the moment, i felt like finally someone understands my obsession with food pictures.
The beef banh mi was delicious! Because it's on a baguette, she didn't really have to toast it and it was still perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The beef was super flavorful and tender. I've never seen this before but I think she put mayo in it? If it's not mayo, it's just some delicious white sauce in it.
The nems were both equally good. The wrapping is much thinner than the ones you get in the states.
I will be revisiting this place as much as I can until I leave Paris. read more
