Went in as i was curious but it was just ok. It's also pricey for what it is and the taste had nothing special.

So....6 gyoza are €12.90 (ouch) but the worst part is that they're just the frozen kind tossed into a microwave (I mean, it's an open kitchen you can see it). So they're obviously kind of gummy and gross. While the staff is really nice €18.40 for 6 microwaved dumplings and a tea (teabag, not infused)? Nope.

The funny thing about Tafa is I was drawn to it from a visual riding up the escalator thinking it was a noodle dive. Noodles were on the menu but it was far from a dive. The cozy eating eatery had some explosive flavor being produced. Tofu and duck were the choices and we were not disappointed. The duck was moist thanks to the broth/sauce that it and the rice were in. This was the lunch before full on window shopping and a tastier meal could not be had. Both the duck and tofu had generous portions. And again the flavor was epic. I'm not a shopper but I will shop there just to have that meal again. We also had the prawn tempura which was also off the charts tasty with the sauce that was supplied with it. This place is a hidden gem that if you make it to the galleries of Lafayette be sure to check it out.

The decor was unique, the space was charming, and the service was friendly and attentive, both of which seem novel in Paris. Plus, it is in a great and interesting neighborhood! A must stop!!

Happened upon this little gem exploring Montmartre!…read more Super cute interior and welcoming staff greeted me as soon as I opened the door. The place was incredibly busy, and I was offered a seat at the bar. Water was served immediately, and handed a delightfully single page organized menu! Service was very attentive. I ordered: Aperol Spritz- which is the best one I have ever had! Edamame-as a starter. Veggie Ramen And mochi for dessert. The Ramen came out first which I was puzzled by, asking if I had ordered the edamame and a female waitress said yes it was on its way. She handed me an oversized bib to wear while eating my Ramen. It was absolutely adorable with fun graphic on the front. There were 3 different sauces you can add to heighten the spice of the ramen. And oh my heavens it was so good! Completely fresh ingredients.. a mountainous amount of veggies (no skimping here!) and all for 10€! Impressive! I couldn't finish it all, with the edamame arriving shortly after... but still managed to order dessert. Two mango + 1 cacao mochi. So darn good. I left incredibly happy, and full, and importantly with a smile on my face. Both the waitress and bartender/manager Thomas thanked me for coming in all with smiles! I will definitely be returning my next trip to Paris! I want to try the fish bao! And other cocktails that looked enticing!

Yup. Another person here who was traveling abroad and got Five Guys…read more To be fair, I had been on the road for almost two weeks and this was my first "American food." They did the brand proud and my burger was cooked well, with plenty of the toppings I requested (they use HP sauce instead of A1 sauce, BTW). The fries were seasoned a bit less than the US shops we've been in, but the quantity was about the same. You can order via the machine, so if your French is not awesome (or non-existent like mine), you don't have to worry. They do announce the order numbers in French, but will fall back to English if they get no takers and have confused people grouped around the pick up counter. For train station food, it was hard to beat.

After a night of celebrating the return of electricity to our hotel (complete with champagne, wine,…read moreand whiskey), not to mention the overwhelming joy of FINALLY getting out of Paris, we needed something way heavier than quiche and croissants. There was no telling when we'd be able to board our train due to the Customs strike, so we were looking for something that would "stick to the ribs", so to speak. This place fit the bill perfectly. It was located in the train station, not far from our gate. The service was prompt. The food was fast, fresh, and filling. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was just as good as the Five Guys back home in DC. Ditto for the fries. The chocolate banana milkshake I had was excellent! Best of all, that lunch lasted well through the 4+ hour long wait it took for us to finally get the hell out of France. I can only imagine how much worse things would have been if I were hungry.
