Dr. Khan is a top notch surgeon and the office and his surgical team are efficient and competent. I highly recommend him and the other practitioners at the Poly Clinic. This is state of the art for American medicine today. read more

I would not recommend Dr. Khann. His staff is great, very helpful, very friendly. The billing staff made a mistake, but that's ok, we're all human. My problem is that Dr. Khann locked a metal clamp onto my half-numbed eyelid and flipped it over so roughly that the instrument was gouging through the over turned skin into the top of my eyeball. The discomfort was shocking, and my body reactively pulled away. Dr. Khann lost his temper (?) at this immediately and yelled at me that I could not move like that and if I did he would be unable to perform the operation. I told him that he was pressing hard against my eye, I could not control the reaction, and to be a little more careful. He did so, and we got through the rest of the procedure. To his credit, for the rest of the procedure he apologized for the outburst and several times after. My tolerance for pain is high. I've broken bones, had pins drilled into bones, surgery on organs, a stick rammed down my throat. I can handle pain, but eyes are different from the rest of your body. They are HIGHLY reactive and need a little patience and care and I have to believe any eye doctor would know these things and go a little easy, a little slow. I'm not going back. read more

Dr. Sameer is a wonderful and very friendly doctor. The woman who saw me for the preliminary tests was extremely unpleasant - treating me like I had done something wrong (or like a bad child). I am not sure why such a good doctor would have such a people unfriendly person as the first person you would deal with. The check-in staff was nice however. I met with Dr. Khan's assistant who did the initial eye exams, he then told me to wait for Dr. Khan. Dr. Khan walked in and flashed a pen light in my eyes, he said "they look good, they are a little dry try some eye drops may help you see better". He spent about 30 seconds with me and was gone, hardly what I expected form an eye doctor. I would not go back and would not recommend him to any one else. read more

I needed to have cataract surgery. I like probably everyone wanted a safe procedure and great result. I found Dr Khan very pleasant and personable. He and I talked about what I wanted as a result. He has worked at making this happen. His staff is friendly and do a great job at organizing everything. Next eye in two weeks. I'm amazed to read without glasses. read more

Was a employee for same company, and we had a program where staff could get treatment/procedures and have deducted from pay. I was interested to see if I was a candidate for lasik, and everyone reminded me what a good situation we had. Confirmed this policy @ scheduling of appt, AND when I got call to confirm the office visit. Oh yes, they said. We work with lots of staff with those arrangements. I went to his office and he told me i'd be a great candidate for the procedure, and I was thrilled b/c have heard conflicting info about it being helpful for people with my diagnosis. Yet when I went to see him, he told me I would have to pay $3500 up front, he did not honor that agreement for staff. I let him know that I had double checked this TWICE with his own staff, and had never heard a doctor decline this. He also told me I would have to go way out of my way to his Bellevue office for a 2nd visit for some other reason, and then could have procedure downtown (where we were). When I got back from my appt to the medical office I worked at, one of my coworkers who worked for Eye Associates in the past told me she had just had the surgery there, and that it was 1/2 the cost, for both eyes. Turns out, the doctor had just gotten an expensive new machine... Have seen docs at Eye Assoc after this experience, who ALSO do this procedure, and they said, NOPE, you are NOT a candidate for this...would avoid this office like the plague. read more

My appointment was on time. Front desk are busy but nice enough. It's been a while since my last eye doc appt. I was hoping to get some info about where I presently stand with my eyesight. Good, bad, disease, watch out for....whatever. To me, this is pretty much like all the other places I've been. Get em in, get em out quickly. Helpers do most of the work. I saw the doc for 1 minute. "Look up, look down, left, right. That's all, thank you." The doc did grin when I told a joke, so I give them an extra star for that. They handed me my prescription. As I was starting to put my jacket on I had this feeling like I wasn't doing it fast enough. Oh well, it's the american way I guess... This place cranks em' out and is a serious money making machine. *Make sure you have exact change for parking, they don't give change. read more

So, I've been having vision issues which involve me seeing cobalt colored blue and sometimes white spots in my direct line of vision. I told my internist about this issue at my annual physical and referred me to Dr. Sameer. He said I needed to get this issue checked out immediately. Unfortunately, I can't leave a medical review for Dr. Sameer because I never met with the man. He was an hour late to my appointment and his medical assistant (emphasis on the ass part of that word), told me to leave his office and reschedule because he was running late. This was AFTER she screened me and acted like I was crazy for telling her I needed to see him because I am seeing colored spots in my direct line of vision. Yes, I was KICKED OUT of his office by his medical staff because Dr. Sameer couldn't get his act together to show up for work. I love how she left me waiting for an hour before she rudely and abruptly made me leave his office. There was no, "I'm sorry" or even a polite attitude about the matter on her part. It was clear she didn't give a damn that I was being inconvenienced. The staff who work at this office are rude (the front desk girl told me that she wasn't going to check me in for 10 minutes because she had to go get coffee), his assistant is rude, the nurses who work in the office all scowl, and although I didn't meet Dr. Sameer personally, he is rude for not showing up to meet with me even though I patiently waited for him to show up to my appointment. I would have waited for him to come into the office. I went out of my way to show up for the appointment and it was not easy for me to make it on time but I did and I was even early. I'm still seeing the spots in my direct line of vision but this time I've put my thinking cap on and researched a better doctor who has an impeccable reputation. I won't be able to see him for another two weeks, however. AVOID Dr. Sameer and his office like the PLAGUE. Your time and health concerns are not valued by this doctor or his staff. read more

DO NOT SEE KHAN or VISIT POLYVISION CLINIC!!!! Friendly staff and overall was happy with appointment when walking out of office. Unfortunately I then needed to spend the next 18 months trying to get a billing issue resolved which was due to Dr. Khan marking his chart for additional services performed. Those additional services were based around me asking one of the technicians why my eye was occasionally twitching, to which point they answered it was due to stress or excess caffeine in-take. One sentence question/answer cost me hundreds of dollars and obnoxious follow-up with their office. They were unwilling to reverse billing and sent the bill to a credit collection agency. The most disappointing part of this visit was being billed for something called Blepharitis, another thing Dr. Khan marked on his chart, which was absolutely never discussed or mentioned during my visit. Truly unethical practice which really warrants legal recourse but this headache of an issue has lasted long enough. read more

I had terrific anxiety about LASIK. I'd like to thank that safety film shown in my 7th grade wood shop class for a life-long unease of anything coming near my eyes! The idea that someone might vaporize parts of them with a laser beam was well off the charts of anxiety, but I hated wearing glasses and had never heard a story of LASIK going wrong so I decided to at least talk to a doctor about the options. I depend on the Polyclinic to keep the rest of my body in good repair, and I chose the Polyclinic's Dr. Khan by default. I'm glad I did. The consultation and eye exam was free and packed with enough information to preemptively cover most of the list of questions that I'd brought with me. The doctor's assistant, Bryce, appears to be a complete nerd for the subject of LASIK, and as a patient, I found this to be a rather reassuring quality. I didn't spend as much time talking to Dr. Khan himself at that first appointment, but on the day of the surgery I found him to have a mellow, comfortable bedside manner that helped me forget how often I've seen lasers blow up spaceships. Also, the procedure itself really is as easy to get through as most patients claim it is. I am fairly sure that I will never have a weirder experience (barring the odd alien abduction), but it wasn't painful or even particularly uncomfortable. The Valium probably helped, as did the teddy bear. Recovery was easy too: after a week I was just taking basic artificial tear-type eye drops as needed and wearing sunglasses when outdoors. My eyesight is keener than I'd expected and I wish I'd done this years ago. One thing that wasn't optimal for me was that the actual surgery is done at TLC's facility in Bellevue. If you're a Polyclinic patient because it's close to home in Seattle, you'll either need a friend to drive you back over the bridge (probably at a time when everyone you know is at work), or bring lots of cab fare. read more

I have seen Dr Kahn for 4 or 5 years - I have nothing bad to say about him - I think he is great - the problem - they overbook - each year I have felt like changing doctors - simply because my appointments take well over an hour and 1/2 - I walked out last year because I was in the waiting room in excess of 40 minutes and no one ever checked or told me what the delay was - today I went in for an 11:10 appointment - was seen at 11:30 by an assistant then was placed in a room to wait for the doctor - 50 minutes later I am still waiting and no one said anything - many other patients in the room were complaining - I finally left - they totally overbook and have been doing that for the past 3 years - I am done with them. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Khan for lasik. I had it done this week and I am so glad that I finally did after so many years of waiting. Lasik was something I was nervous about for a while so when I asked all my providers at the Polyclinic who they recommended for lasik, when they ALL mentioned Dr. Khan I knew that it had to be a GREAT recommendation! All of his staff members were very welcoming, kind, professional and provided such a positive environment. Dr. Khan himself was very willing to answer all my questions and took the time to explain things to me in a detailed way that I could understand. Also, the reassurance he gave me and also his own excitement for my decision made me feel at ease. Everything about this office was super organized. Even the surgery scheduler Geleen has been amazing! She was super organized in arranging everything with me, calling me to touch base, calling me to follow up and to make sure everything was clear, etc. She made me feel so at ease and that everything was taken care of. Literally every step of the way she guided me through. When it came time to the actual procedure itself, I couldn't believe how quick, smooth and easy it was. This whole week I can't stop looking around at everything, at my new world through my new vision. It is so awesome and hands down the best purchase I have ever made in my life. I truly mean that. Because the results are priceless. This is truly a doctor and clinic I trust. read more

The experience here was rather odd. Somehow Dr. Khan gets all the credit for his competent assistant's eye exam & adjustment of my refraction. I spent an hour with her and all Dr. Khan did was shake my hand and said hello...she deserves my $350...not him. read more
