Friend and I went to this place because we found parking right across the street on Devon. So instead of walking somewhere else, we went to Khan's. I love Indian food and I've had Indian/Pakistani food a few times in the past. I honestly expected more flavor and spice from my dishes, especially the channa masala.. Friend liked his food, but I can't remember what he had. All in all, everything at Khan's was good, except the Naan. I have never seen naan so thick! I would go back to Khan's BBQ. read more

I love this place so much! We found this place by accident as we were super hungry while shopping in the area. We were pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. Their barbecue meat dishes are the best. Sheekh kabob, tandoori chicken, paratha yummy! This place never disappoints me. We used to live in the Suburbs and would drive 45 mins to eat at this place, its that amazing! Ive tried most Indian and Pakistani restaurants and this tops them all especially in this area. Truly a gem! Waiting staff is so nice and lovely and even remembered from us even though we had visited about a year before. The chicken seekh kababs are out of this world! Service here is terrible. Took them 15 minutes after we seated ourselves for someone to come and take our order. We were brought warm water (which I guess is a cultural thing with some restaurants on Devon) and the plates were dirty with a hair on one of them. After the food was brought out no one checked on us at all. I had to get up twice, once to ask for more water and again to ask for to-go boxes. When we got to the register they felt it was okay to charge us a 15% gratuity and there was only 4 to our party. Food was just above "meh" quality. I'd avoid this place like the plague. Food is delish. Chicken bhoti is probably the best thing there. Seekh kebabs were very good but too spicy for our kids. The fried chicken was outstanding...crispy and tasty. So why only 3 stars? (1) The chef shapes the kebabs with bare hands...which seems potentially unsanitary, (2) there were multiple hairs in one of our plates of food...ick!, and (3) there is a big "All praise to Allah" sign that made us feel uncomfortable. Ultimately, there's a rule of thumb that you can tell how sanitary a restaurant is by its bathrooms. Well, even before we got to the bathrooms, we already saw signs of unsanitary stuff. Just went here for iftar. It was PACKED. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Devon. Their kebabs are absolutely delicious, tender and flavorful. One thing I hate is a dry and bland kebab. So definitely order that. Also, their chicken dishes are delicious. Ask for their suggestions. The biryani was okay. It was a bit dry and needed more flavor but it wasn't bad. It tastes better when mixed with their curries and kebab. Dessert is great as well. Service isn't that great, but I usually don't mind with desis. Khan's is a great place for families. And definitely get there early at night, especially in Ramadan. I would say at 7pm because it fills up fast! read more

We came to this place as we remembered from years ago that the tandoori was excellent. We got the tandoori goat, goat curry, tandoori chicken, tandoori fish, bindi, chickpeas and naan. The tandoori goat and naan were real tasty. Everything else tasted like it had been sitting around for days and refried or reheated with an extra 2 cups of oil. We're used to oily Indian food when we eat out but this was over the top. Tandoori chicken and fish looked and tasted like they had pulled them out of an old buffet and refried it. 2 of our 5 members ended up getting stomach aches,1 who didn't even eat the real oily dishes threw up. When we complained they argued with us and told us this is what the food was supposed to be like. Mind you were are south asian, my mom owned a south asian restaurant and we've eaten many types south asian foods our whole lives. The service was slow and it took forever to get them to take 2 dishes off the bill. It was also expensive for the quality, almost $90 for 5 dishes and a few pieces of naan. They also added our tip to the bill without asking. All around disappointing. read more

Many people complain about their bad behavior. True, their service is awful, but I still go there for Seekh Kabab, tandoori naan and Daal only. I have tried many places and found no one come close to Khan BBQ for these items. Rest of the dishes are as good as anywhere else. I ignore their rudeness and focus on my food. Make sure the bill is right. Sometimes 20% Tip is added without letting you know. They don't mind taking double tip. read more

I wish I could give them no star. I went there for chicken tandoori and ordered a half chicken. When they bring it there was NO BREAST. I could taste drumsticks from all the pieces and 2/3 of plate looked like chicken but it was bone. They cut it very professionally. My husband had a beef Sikh kabob that was dry. And I'm sure they put bread more than beef in it. I personally don't recommend this place to you. It's just wasting money. $34 for 2 dishes and we came out really hungry. read more

They don't know the difference between Daal fry and Daal tadka i ask a very simple question to my server but he made it very clear that he was not interested in what I have to say Daal fry it's should not to be soupy that's why it's called DAAL FRY otherwise it will be called soupy Daal.Please change the item name in your menu because it's just misleading when you say daal fry it's supposed to be fry nothing more nothing less. An Indian friend told me that this is the best Indian-style, grilled chicken in Chicago. We got chicken boti to go, and couldn't wait to eat it: we scarfed down the hot, fresh, moist, charred, very tasty poulet in the car (who eats in their car anymore?), dipping it into a delicious green sauce (I might have wanted it to be a little more picante, but you have to trust the chef, right?). I was on car-watching detail, to make sure we didn't get towed and spend $500 on dinner; so I can't judge the service or decor. Heard great reviews for Khan BBQ and decided to check it out. Bihari kabob, butter chicken, naan, tandoori chicken, chicken seikh kabob were all very good. The food was very spicy so it would be good to mention mild if you can't handle it. Chai was also very good. I would come back next time I'm in Chicago. read more

Great, flavorful authentic Pakistani bbq. Make sure you carry some tissues with you, the spices are so pungent ( delicious though). This place and the entire neighborhood is a great experience! I went here because I saw it featured on some food channel for Chicago. The service was good, but the menu did not explain any of the food. You won't know what you are ordering unless you take someone who knows this type of food well. The server does not help explain either. The food was good, but over-priced. Pretty darn good. Ironic thing though. Soon as you come in, theres a kitchen with a bunch of chefs. However when we ordered our food, all of the chefs went on a break and no one cooked. Our food got there and we were wondering who cooked our food. I thought it was funny but that's not the reason I'm giving it 4 stars. I'm giving it 4 stars because the Indian fried chicken, although cooked perfectly, was lacking seasoning. It have some kind of orange seasoning but there's no flavor. Very tasty food. The pink walls are a bit much but it's all about the cooking; seeing the guys cooking the skewers of meat, rice and naan is really cool. It's not a fancy place and don't expect big smiles and small talk from the staff, there are culture differences. But you will find some wonderful combinations and healthy portions at a reasonable price. read more
