Checked out this kind of small place on Devon Avenue. It's only open at breakfast and lunch. Bawarchi On Devon has a pretty simple menu with a few classics. Maybe it's hard for some to imagine eating Indian food at breakfast, but they do have some items like the idli, which are like rice cakes, and vada, which are like doughnuts. The lunch menu has the curries, dosas, and more. At lunch we got one of the big dosas. It's about $8 for a seriously big one. These are massive humongous things. Kind of looked like a cricket bat. We got the Masala Dosa. It was kind of like a thin crispy pancake with spicy mashed potatoes in it, along with a few dipping sauces such as coconut chutney. There was also a small bowl of sambar. It's a spicy soup also good for dipping. The dosas are big but are airy and light. Got to come here again. It has a lot of dosas to choose from. They're strangely closed for dinner so it has to be for breakfast or lunch if you come by to get something.

When you're on Devon Ave, you have to Warchi what you're doing. This is a great restaurant for curries at mid-price rates, with authentic Pakistani Cuisine and it's absolutely delicious. Devon has a good hundred or so amazing restaurants along the road and hidden nearby. They are definitely worth your time and I highly recommend you come and try some karahi or other dishes.

Desk Dhaba? Genuinely good food, and service. Chai, mutton Karachi and daal are my favs.

Takes credit card. Busy in weekends. Lots of indoor seating…read more Probably the best food I had on Devon Street. Famous for Pakistani grill meat. Lamb chop $46- 4 pieces. Super super good. Well seasoned, grilled, meat soft, juicy, the fat is nicely rendered. I would get this again but it's so expensive. Probably only for special occasions Chicken kebab bihari $26- super super super good. I would come just just for this. The meat is super soft, tender, moist. I've never had kebabs this moist and tasty. High way chicken kahari with bone $22- white meat, lots of spicy, some heat..complex flavors. Good with rice or naan. Lots of ginger Garlic naan $4- average

We came to Bundoo Khan in Chicago with high expectations and hungry stomachs. This restaurant name…read morehas quite the reputation in my wife"s native Pakistan and in other parts of the world. The restaurant was quite packed and full of patrons. Overall the restaurant was very loud and it was hard to hear in there. We ordered the Chicken Biryani, The Highway Chicken Karahi, the lamb kebabs, the chicken Bihari kebabs, chicken Tikka and the beef Seekh kebabs. Although the food looked good, it wasn't quite up to the mark. The chicken biryani was dry and had too much essence in it, the chicken Tikka was dry. The chicken Karahi and the lamb kebabs by far were their best dishes. Honestly though for $228, we felt the food was overpriced and the quality of the food, fell well short of our expectations. Overall, we give Bandoo Khan a 3 out of 5 stars. It is a one time for us. There are better options out there with better prices.
