Relatively clean and have counter service. We got a table and then walked up to order our food. We ordered a paapri chaat, a hunter beef sandwich, special noodles khausa, a bihari mayo roll, pani puri and a small fry. We also orederd some pomegranate flavored Limca and a coke. The food came out as it was ready and was fresh and hot off the stove. The khausa and the pani puri were hits with the family. The noodles were cooked well and the sauce and gravy from the beef was very flavorful. Everyone enjoyed that. The pani puri the kids loved to the point that we had to ask for more puris. The pani (spiced water to dip the puris in) was spiced and balanced well and the chickpeas and potatoes were sprinkled with a spice blend that gave them a depth of flavor then just plain boiled vegetables with salt. The hunter beef sandwich was good although a bit dry. The flavor with the toasted bread and addition of veggies and mayo complimented the beef well. The roll was spicy for most and was decent but not spectacular. The paapri chaat was refreshing and delicious. The star of the evening was the gola gunda (shaved ice with syrups and condensed milk drizzled on top). THe kids loved it and it came in a bowl with plenty of syrup and condensed mile. It was tasty and refreshing. We liked it so much that we stopped by twice more on our trip just for the gola gunda. I would definitely be going back, if for nothing else than the gola gunda.

I ordered the chicken chili roll and Bihari mayo roll. The restaurant wasn't too clean and seating area was small, they do have a small patio with additional seating. The person who took my order was nice and straightforward with my order, a little hard to understand though with a language barrier, but expected for the area/location on Devon Ave.

It is a very pleasant spot with a beautiful interior--featuring a painted sky with clouds on the ceiling--and a very cozy atmosphere! The manager at the entrance immediately showed us to the dining area and offered us a comfortable table that accommodated our entire group. The food was incredibly delicious, with a wide selection of high-quality dishes prepared with care. The service was top-notch: the staff were polite, attentive, and responsive. Four waiters promptly cleared away empty plates without needing to be asked, and they were all very friendly! I will definitely be back and highly recommend visiting!

The naans and puris are served fresh made hot to the table compared to the other buffet places where they are cooked and jumbled up in a big pile on the buffet! This buffet offers everything you want! Hot, fresh, neat and clean surroundings too. Mango and plain lassis along with hot tea made with real milk! We liked that the Mali kheer desert was the real deal and a delicious ending to a perfect meal!

We started with the masala dosa, but it had more of a North Indian flavor profile rather than the authentic South Indian taste I was expecting -- so that was a bit disappointing. Next, we tried the papri chaat, which was excellent and hit all the right notes in terms of flavor. The chole bhature was also good, though I felt the chole could have been more flavorful. I also had their tea, which was just okay. It's a self-service setup, which is worth noting. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the mood for some good chaat.

The Poori is delicious and so is the mango lassi which is not too sweet. I know you need to have chole with poori, but the chole and potato sabzi is not good, not much flavor. I would skip it, but if you're not that picky, go ahead. The chai wasn't the best either, a bit watered down. They also need more people running the register and helping customers. They got backed up quick. For a brunch with the fam, not bad but not the best. Change the chole recipe and it'll get 4/5 stars.
