Passed by here the other day and I was intrigued so stopped in. When I entered I saw they have a station where you can place your order on your own and then pick it up. I placed my order that way and when I was preparing to pay I found that they don't have a way for you to use digital wallets at that station; a credit card is required. The employee made some comment that suggested perhaps they were going to fix that so it can at some point take digital wallets but I don't know if he was just saying that or not. Anyway, that was kind of annoying, just make sure to bring your card if you decide to use that or you can order at the counter and you can use a digiwallet. The chicken was okay. I liked the soy ginger flavor though it wasn't very strong. I also got the kalbi one we could share and it was really good. I don't think I've ever had short rib before, but this is what I'd order if I visit again. It made me think, is this what Korean BBQ tastes like all the time (as opposed to this just being their seasoning/saucing)? If so I've been missing out on it for sure. The potstickers were ok. I think they would have been good if they were steamed but they are fried here and that's not my preference. I got one of their dessert things but it wasn't my bag. It tasted to me like circus peanuts, which is a candy I hate with a fiery passion. There was no one here when I stopped in but they have plenty of seating including a counter at the front of the restaurant. Parking doesn't exist anywhere but on the street here, which can be tricky.

    Clumps of hard rice

My friend came over after getting our order and I'm a little disappointed. I got the kalbi and dumplings and they taste great but my rice is so hard and crunchy. Like it's the burnt part of the rice at the bottom of the rice cooker you sometimes get at home. I'm kinda bummed about it honestly. We didn't order last minute before they closed or anything so I'm kinda confused why the the rice is like that. Placed our order a little after 8:30ish

I ordered Soy Ginger Beef... not Soy GINGER ONION

I can tell you I have about 8 scraps of beef, a spread of rice sprinkled of lettuce & carrots and HALF OF AN ONION!!! I didn't know I order... SOY GINGER ONION ( no such thing ) it's rice bowl! THERE Should BE A LOT MORE RICE AND BEEF.. bad management or staffs are in the feelings??? What a sick joke. My rice cake was dried with no MEAT sauce...

Good Fast Food Korean ... Chipotle style. Might take 10min because the entree is freshly grilled, but you don't mind, its decent. Props to the two kids that came up with this concept, and plopped it in the trendy and gentrification-crazed Logan Square. There are some K franchises out here already but they're more fusion restaurants and in the NW burbs. Wouldn't fly for old school but its fine for the BTS crowd,.. legit. Lol. I know I enjoyed the ground Impossible oval burger doused with K BBQ sauce... I'll have to try and make this myself, it wasn't Kalbi, but it was tasty... Feedback, dig the recyclable square bowls however rice gets too sticky and can't get it all... towards the end, maybe a layer of salad to buffer?

We just tried this for dinner and it was pretty okay, I think maybe we missed something when ordering online because we didn't get any type of sauce so it was just plain rice and vegetables. The marinated mushrooms and kalbi were good but everything else was just kind of average. But it did taste healthy which is good!

We pass this place all the time and always wanted to try it. Due to Covid we ordered take out. When you order thru the website they had a deal for 20% off order entire order. We got the following. Rice balls-They are like fried rice balls with cheese in the middle. I was not a huge fan of these but my husband enjoyed it. Cheesy corn: amazing!!! The mozzarella cheese and corn complemented each other so well. I would definitely come back for this. Spicy chicken bowl: chicken was flavorful I got this with rice, kimchi, and cucumbers. Everything complimented each other really well. Kolbi bowl: the meat was seasoned perfectly. We substituted rice for salad. Then got cucumber salad and kimchi with it. Potstickers: this was stuffed with meat and crispy on the outside Fries: this tasted great! We did order it with meat but I only saw the diced onions, cheese, and "fries". We will definitely becoming back here again!

Always reliable good Korean dishes. On this visit my wife had the Kalbi and I had the spicy chicken. Love all of their sides they are fresh and pair perfectly with the entree choices. Place is always clean and staff is friendly.

I came back here with a girlfriend on a Friday night and the food was just as good as the first time we tried the place. Both times that we've visited, there were no problems finding street parking along Milwaukee Ave. The place inside was spacious, clean and the service was superb. My friend and I have tried the following items from the menu: KALBI- Very tender and flavorful pieces of meat PORK BELLY- Winner! SPICY GINGER BEEF- Great flavors K FIRE BALLS- Fantastic. I can eat this with rice all day long. CHEESY CORN- This was so addicting BOKKI FRIES- I loved this especially the sauce. Everything that we've had has been delicious and tasted like home cooked meals. All the dishes had perfectly seasoned and cooked meats, the typical Korean sides (radish, kimchi, pickles, etc.) were fresh and the appetizers were unique and oh so good. Even though this is considered a fast food Korean place, they offer authentic and fresh-of-the-grill proteins. The chef/ co-owner Eddie Hwang grills the meat as the orders come in so if you choose to dine in, your food will be served warm on a recyclable container, tasting delicious as they look and smell. I am glad that K Fire serves quality Korean food and I hope that people continue to discover what this new place has to offer. Keep up the good work and I wish you all the best!

My mouth is watering just remembering this place. I had visited Chicago a few weeks ago, and my friends and I were craving some Korean food on our last day. We saw KFIRE was nearby and decided to stop by for lunch. When we arrived, we were able to get a table for 8 very easily since not many people were there. Despite having a big party, we all got our food within 20 minutes. I had ordered the pork belly plate, and let me tell you, the pork was SO SO GOOD! I've had dreams about the pork haha. When you bite into it, it just melts in your mouth because of how well it's cooked. The salt on the pork brought out the flavor even more, so you can't help but eat more. The rice and vegetable side dishes were a refreshing contrast to the pork, and I liked how they balanced out the proportions evenly throughout the plate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Korean food/KBBQ!

Chipotle style Korean food! I was quite impressed with the food here. I don't eat Korean food too often but I do enjoy it time to time. I haven't really seen many places that are Korean style fast food, so I was intrigued. K fire balls - crispy breaded rice balls filled with cheese and spam, comes with a side of tonkatsu mayo. These were yummy! Can't go wrong with anything filled with cheese though right? The sauce was a tad salty for me but still good nonetheless! Pork belly bowl - the pork belly was done perfectly! Seasoned well with sweet wine miso marinade and grilled flavor was delicious. The quality of pork belly was wonderful - nice sized cubes with a good fat to meat ratio. Rice was made well too, the stickiness of it complements the protein and the sides. You get to pick 2 sides (kimchi, kimchi slaw, spicy daikon, seasoned cucumber, marinated mushrooms, corn salad) for your bowl. I didn't get to try the kimchi, but will definitely get it next time. The bowls range from $11 - $18. Will be back to try the cheese corn and the bokki fries next time!

For a fast casual Korean spot, the food here was pretty solid! I got the spicy pork belly ( warning: it's VERY spicy) and it was super tender. I also tried the regular pork belly and enjoyed it as well. The sides of cucumbers were nice and crisp but will say the kimchi was pretty underwhelming. Overall, their food is pretty affordable and delicious!

Then I saw the KBBQ menu and all bets were off. I immediately pivoted and ordered the chef's tasting set, the Diweji, featuring pork jowl, pork collar, and pork belly, complete with an assortment of banchan. Zero regrets. And here's the part that should tell you everything you need to know: I am a certified radish hater. I avoid it whenever possible. Yet somehow, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the radish banchan and asking for more. Even the soup - which also featured radish - was absolutely delicious. If Perilla can convert someone who actively dislikes radish into a fan for one meal, that's saying something. The soju was exactly what I wanted with Korean barbecue: crisp, clean, and refreshing. I appreciate that it was neutral rather than overly sweet. The flavored, sweeter versions aren't really my thing unless the food is setting my mouth on fire. Speaking of spice, the wings were good: juicy, well-executed, and satisfying but I kept wishing they packed a little more heat. They weren't spicy at all, and a bigger kick would have taken them from very good to unforgettable. As for the meats, the pork jowl was gloriously rich and fatty, exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The pork collar ended up being my favorite: flavorful, tender, and with just the right balance of meat and fat. The pork belly was comforting and familiar - the classic KBBQ staple done well, with beautifully rendered edges and that indulgent quality that makes it a crowd-pleaser for a reason. The set also came with potatoes that were unexpectedly delicious. My only complaint? It was far too much food for one person. The service deserves its own mention. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The entire meal was delivered with efficiency and a smile, making a solo diner feel completely comfortable lingering and enjoying the experience. What I thought would be a quick happy hour stop turned into one of my favorite meals.

We ordered a seafood soup, seafood pancake, and a salmon crunch roll. We quickly realized that this was an atypical Korean restaurant experience as we did not receive banchan and there were not many traditional options on the menu. I think that should've been our cue to go, but we stayed and were very disappointed. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask multiple times when it was coming, and when the food finally came out, it was underseasoned and the texture was very off. The seafood pancake tasted deep fried and had chunks of imitation crab. It had the texture of an unrisen focaccia. The soup was tasteless, and the salmon roll was drenched in mayo and eel sauce. They also gave us a "special" hot sauce that tasted like just a mix of sriracha and Tabasco. Small highlights: the ambiance was nice; it seemed clean. Waiter was nice enough. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was quite a shocking meal.

Strike 1: We had an 8:00PM reservation for six, checked in at 7:50, and weren't seated until 8:20--despite plenty of open tables. Then we waited another 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Strike 2: We understood service might be slower with a large party nearby, but nonexistent is more accurate. Our server was taking shots with that table while we waited 20+ minutes for water. At the end of the meal, the same server had the nerve to ask us for a positive review in exchange for free meat. Suddenly, the good reviews for this place make a lot more sense. Strike 3: Management was somehow even worse. I asked to speak with a manager and had two different people come over claiming to be one. One was the second server taking shots with the large party--and was visibly intoxicated and slurring his words while handling a table with scissors and open flames. When I called it out, his response was, "I only did one shot." That's not an excuse; it's a liability. The "real" manager was at least pleasant, but ultimately could only remove the automatic gratuity. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Between the ridiculous wait times, nonexistent service, employees drinking on the job, and complete lack of accountability from management, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. And for a birthday dinner, it was especially unacceptable.

Perilla steakhouse was a beautiful restaurant. There's plenty of seating and I was surprised to see that they also serve breakfast. If I lived here, I would probably check it out.

For food we had: - oysters - Argentina red shrimp (good flavor but you only get three shrimps which didn't seem worth it) - garlic chive pancake (loved the side sauces with this) - vegetable dumplings (really good!)

Visiting bobijoa was such a good pick - I ordered the Gogi burger and a bottle of rice wine. The burger darn near melted in your mouth. The textures from the slaw and sauce were perfection on its own. The fries were home cut and not store bought so I loved that. I do wish they'd put sea salt or a homemade seasoning on the fry to up it a bit. Otherwise no complaints. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is calm and chill. You can go with a friend or bring a book to read. Either way you're in for a treat.

They have pictures on their menu which I also enjoy. I've had the chicken wings (sweet n spicy), their kimchi fries, their bibimbop, bulgogi bap (favorite!!!), burger, kimchi fried rice (fav), japchae noodles, Soondooboo (another big fav), and Yukejang (favorite soup in the winter time, the beef is so soft) their Seafood Pajeon is also delicious- recommend eating there though cause its crispy, along with the fries and chicken wings. And lastly the Hotteoks are a nice sweet n savory dessert. Favorite place in the neighborhood.

The food was delicious; my standouts were definitely the handrolls and the burger, but truly everything we tried was so tasty. Such a great spot for tasty food, music, and a fun night out. Would absolutely recommend!

The space has such a fun, modern interior with records and other music decor lining the small space! Perfect spot for a date or small group. A live DJ was spinning various records during our visit, which I thought would be too loud, but was the perfect backdrop for our great dinner conversation. Staff were friendly, and didn't hang around too much, which was nice! The cocktails and food were the real deal! I had the Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail, which I thought would be SUPER sweet, but it was balanced and refined in the best way. Lovely take on a tropical cocktail. We shared the Korean Chicken Sandwich, the Burger, and the Bing Bread. Every single bite was delicious: fun take on a pizza with the Bing Bread, a fresh and light take on a Korean Chicken sandwich, and a deliciously savory burger with all my favorite toppings! The servings were perfect to share, so I'd grab a close friend, order up some drinks and plates, and just take in the chill vibe! So glad we stopped!
