They took it back to remake it correctly. In the meantime we didn't get any water refills the entire time every one was eating. We needed ranch and sauce but the server never came back after our food was delivered by someone else. Later my steak came out with no steak knife. So I have no idea if it was cooked right the second time. None of the servers would make eye contact with us so that we could politely wave them down for a knife so I could eat my steak. And our server still didn't come back. Also, unlike other steak restaurants where if they mess up your steak, so they bring you new sides to enjoy your meal all together, they only brought out the steak. 15 min after my steak was brought our server finally showed up. Everyone else was ready to go. So I asked them to take back the untouched steak and remove it from the bill. They did but no one came to apologize or offer any kind of recompense. Please enjoy the pretty picture of the steak I didn't get to eat.

But by the time we left, the outdoor seating was almost packed, so be safe and make reservations, if you can. The menu is amazing, so many options that all looked appetizing. I can say that everything we got was nicely made and tasted great! Their burger is definitely really good, you can taste the freshness of the locally raised beef. The bun and everything about it was really nicely done. Right now, they have a seasonal starter of pumpkin beignets which we got... they didn't resemble the form, nor texture of any beignets we've ever gotten, but they sure did taste really good! (We did have to wait quite a while for plates from our server so we could share them though) Their onion rings and fries are both amazing. The dip that comes with the onion rings is so very tasty! Sitting outside is beautiful, right on the pond and they have heaters to help take the cool off when it's chilly. We'll definitely return!

Be sure you know exactly what you are ordering when you turn in your paper order to the cashier…read more You may want to go over it with the cashier because they may know a combination order that would save you money, and try to stay away from ordering anything "large." Small or regular sizes should be large enough for you. The best thing about Foster's Grill in Warrenton is their strawberry shake. It tastes delicious. This is a must try. Whatever sandwich or meal you order, don't forget to order the strawberry shake. If you like chocolate better than strawberry, order chocolate next time, for the first time order the strawberry shake. They have a very good hamburger with plenty of meat. Their hamburger meat has a delicious flavor. Their onion rings are another must try. They are cooked just right and have a great tasting batter on them. I didn't think their fries were anything special. Their Philly Cheesesteak is also a good sandwich to order. It comes with generous amount of cheese and meat. You place your order at the counter, fill your own drinks, find your own table or booth, select your own plastic spoons, forks, & knifes and paper napkins. Your meal is delivered to your table and that is about all the wait staff service you receive. The atmosphere is more like a fast food atmosphere. Nobody goes to Foster's Grill for the atmosphere because that is not on their menu. People go to Foster's Grill because their food tastes great. Be careful when you place your order or you will overload your credit card. It is easy to pay more than you were expeciting to pay, once the addition is completed.

In the past, you used a seasoning/spice blend that really made your food stand out from other places, and that was the reason I enjoyed ordering from you. I just wanted to share my feedback because I really liked your food before and was hoping for the same quality and flavor again.

Now for the food........it was so salty that neither of us finished our meals. No other flavor except for salt......so much salt and small portions. At one time, Glory Days had decent nachos that always made a visit - and a couple of beers - worth the trip. Not anymore. On arrival at the restaurant at 11,30, we were informed that the garden did not open until 1200 noon but, if we wished, we could sit at the bar and have a drink until the garden tables were open. This sounded reasonable as we could choose our meals from the menu whilst having a drink, so we opted for this and moved to the bar. We waited for someone to serve us - and waited!
