    Korean BBQ loaded bowl?
    Safiya S.

Check your order before you leave. I ordered Korean BBQ loaded bowl. They gave me fries with with BBQ sauce nothing else. It should have chicken slaw and pickles.

This place is absolute disgusting and dirty. They have the worst customer service and management. I highly recommend to never order anything online for pick-up or even go there for that matter because there's a good chance you're not going to get your food or receive a refund so it's pretty much a donation. Lazy thieves, been here several times and it's always a problem and will never go back again or to any kfc for that matter after how corporate handled my situation. Ordered online, $65 order, and then they tell me I cancelled my order so I left with no food but the money was taken out of my bank account and never refunded and had to file a fraud report at my bank.

I stopped in for a quick lunch today with a coworker. I ordered a mashed potato bowl and a small side of cole slaw. Everything was prepared accurately and it tasted great. Even better than the food was the service the lady provided who took my order. She was super friendly and personable. I noticed while eating that she was very fun with all of the customers including the ones who only spoke spanish. It was evident that Spanish was by no means a fluent language of hers but she made the best of it and was sure to accommodate all of the guests.

I ordered a four piece original recipe and got four pcs of BURNT chicken. I understand the pressure that management is under but service bad/old food to carryout or drive through customers is not cool. Nothing worse than getting to destination to find out your food is shit.

The smoked wings were fall off the bone tender but they could have used a little bit more seasoning. The brisket was equally tender: It was hard to pick it up without it falling apart. Really good brisket. Generous portions too. The barbecue sauce they use is mustard-based. A little different than what I'm used to but not bad. Definitely more tangy than I expected. The macaroni and cheese was decent but again, it was missing something. The candied sweet potatoes were really good... A little sweet to break up all of the savory. The restaurant itself is really nice looking inside. Lots of tables and even a bar top with a few chairs. They had that AC cranking in there, and it was comfortably cool inside. (It was very warm outside the day that I visited, so all of that cool air was very much welcome).

Smoked wings were A1, easily the best thing on the plate. Jerk wings were solid with good flavor. Fried wings were bland and needed seasoning. Fries were regular but very salty. Sweet potatoes were bad, tasted like heavy lemon concentrate and I had to throw them away. Mac and cheese had that roux base, good cheese flavor, and a creamy balance, best side for sure. Service/Timing: This is where it hurt. Food took an hour and 20 minutes. For wings and sides, that's excessive. No updates or anything that justified the wait. I'm assuming cooked to order, but sheesh. Value: $35 feels high, especially after waiting that long and not enjoying everything. Between the bland fried chicken, overly salty fries, and inedible yams, the consistency wasn't there.Price rating: 2 out of 5. Highlight: Smoked wings! Wrap-Up: The smoked wings and mac and cheese carried the meal, but the long wait and inconsistent sides made it hard to justify the price. At $35 and an hour plus wait, everything needs to hit.

They're usually closed the days that I'm in the Upper Marlboro area, but not this time! It's in the same Plaza as the Amish market, so there's plenty of parking. I stepped inside and there were a couple of chairs for waiting along the window. Otherwise, it's a small open space and there are desserts on display, I'm in you to read, and very polite staff behind the counter. I decided to get the blackened salmon and shrimp entree with collard greens and mac and cheese. I got their salts at caramel banana pudding for dessert. I decided to use my insulated bag and wait until I got to my friend's house to eat. I love the shrimp and the salmon. They were seasoned well, but not to a point of tasting too salty, which can happen at a lot of soul food restaurants for me. Unfortunately, despite the good flavor, this was the case with the collard greens, whew. Also, there is turkey in there, so don't get it as a vegetarian option! The mac and cheese was good... Not sure where I would put it in my rankings, but I enjoyed it. That banana pudding.... Whoa. It was the perfect dessert, and I would happily get it again. The salted caramel and banana balance surprisingly well. Their top rankings are well deserved, and I am looking forward to trying their wings and other items next time!

SERVICE WAS EXPERIENCED AND LOVELY. My only complaint is that the food is too salty which we Amerikuns expect and love as our blood vessel linings get damaged. blood pressures rise, and congestive heart failure flares. But we are so used to it that high-salt tastes normal and so we shake on some more! Guilty, as I charge! But even to me, it tasted salty. Great place to lunch or dine. However, from the start, the service felt disorganized. There was confusion at the front with seating, and guests were being moved around while staff seemed to be sorting out table assignments in real time, which came off a bit unprofessional. After being seated, we waited about 10-12 minutes before being acknowledged by our server. During that time, service already felt slow across the board, as even nearby tables were experiencing delays. When our server (a lighter-skinned woman with twists pulled back into a ponytail) came over, we were told several menu items were unavailable after we had already attempted to order them, including drinks and fresh fruit that were still listed on the menu. As someone who has worked as a server before, I feel communication like this should be handled before service even begins. Items that are 86'd should be communicated during pre-shift meetings and clearly shared with guests upon greeting the table so they can make informed choices upfront. It helps avoid frustration and gives guests alternatives before ordering. Our food also came out not hot at all--it honestly felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while and was not up to standard. Overall service remained inconsistent, with limited check-ins and needing to flag staff multiple times. While the bus staff was friendly and helpful, the overall experience fell short in organization, communication, and quality, especially for a first visit.
