Ok haven't been to a KFC in years. For some reason it just sounded right tonight. Like, 8 wonder if this is still shish or have they improved. We went here tonight, got the $7 deal. Got damn, I'm impressed! 3 tenders, decent sized nato and grave, biscuit, drink and a couple pie bite things. Food was hot. Tasty and portions very decent in this economy for $7. Only complaint is the douchebag dude at drive thru. Missing straws for our drinks. No salt/pepper. No napkins! So food good/value the sea sucker forgets the basics to eat the shish. We have eaten here multiple times. Usually the service is not great. Tonight though our chicken smelled and tasted like rancid oil. Upon bringing this to the attention of the staff we were given excuses why the oil was fine. They refilled our order and it was the same. They said they wouldn't serve anything they wouldn't eat and finally refunded the entire order and we went across the street to eat. Between poor service and terrible food don't go here. Absolutely horrible experience!! Was craving KFC and drove into post falls from CDA. Asked for 3 combos with 2 pieces and mashed potatoes. Was very specific that we did not want fries only mashed potatoes. The clerk actually said that fries didn't come in the combo so no worries. Got home and what did we find in one of our combos? FRIES! Not only are the employees somewhat brain dead, it also seems the owners do not even care about the many negative reviews on this app. It's no wonder the employees don't care, because obviously the owners don't really take any pride in their service or if customers are happy or not. This is the best KFC I've ever been to. The interior is immaculately clean and filled with natural light. There's an abundance of seating types and options. Location is quick and convienent. Service was jaw-droppingly good. Big genuine smile when we walked in, great demeanor, quick service, couldn't ask for anything more. Food is KFC. I'm no expert, but it's good fried chicken. It's gotten pretty expensive but it's a solid option for hungry tummies. Mashed potatoes are still that powdered instant mash. Gravy is still that fake condensed junk. To me this is nostalgic, but KFC may want to up its game in this world of "elevated fast casual." My one word of warning for the KFC marketing team: you may want to wean away from Colonel Sanders as THE unifying element in your decor and branding. The dude is just creepy. He's also an actual person, so one of these days a chicken historian is going to discover his "secret recipe" called for the elimination of inferior races or something and it'll be all about damage control. We ordered our food online at 11:30pm and were notified it would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived 22 minutes later and we were told by one gal that they ran out of chicken! We were then told our 16 piece chicken meal would be ready in 20 minutes. I am not happy with my experience. I did the online order to speed things up. After I ordered we went to the drive through to pick it up. At the order window I was told, " yeah we have your order, but you need to come in to pick it up." This was the opposite of what I wanted to do. I backed out of the drive through and went in. There was a bag with my name on it sitting on the counter..... why couldn't this be handed through the window?? When I asked if they needed me to do something they said no just grab your food?!? This is the 2nd time we've been to this location in Post Falls and I'm sure we won't be back. The dining room and kitchen areas were horribly dirty! Food on the counters in the kitchen area, stacks of dirty dishes sitting around waiting to be taken to the sink to be cleaned, the floor was filthy and the staff was just walking over it. The "cook" was just standing around waiting for the chicken to be done instead of picking up a broom or rag and clean something, anything, while he waited. In the dining room the tables were sticky and the floor didn't look like it had been mopped in days. The staff seemed like they just didn't care about us being there. We had to repeat our order 4-5 times and it was still wrong when we picked it up. We didn't order sandwiches or anything that needed to be "prepped", and we won't go back! read more

Normally I have pretty high standards if you're going to get a 5, and a fast food chain would almost certainly not hit those marks... but I just came home and had lunch from this KFC and I have to say: It was delicious. I don't know if they mix their food with some kind of drug that makes me want to immediately get up and get more, but by God they succeeded. The staff was exceptionally kind and was able to have an actual conversation instead of just being robots and handing out food. Their kitchen looked exceptionally clean, which is something I can say is an achievement by all standards... and finally they gave me a free cookie... for like... no reason. So yeah, 11/10 KFC.
