Absolutely terrible experience that reflects horribly on the KFC brand as a whole. Placed a mobile app order and was forced to wait over an hour in the store due to pure staff incompetence and a complete failure of management. This location is a total operational failure. The employees on duty showed zero work ethic or care for the customers, completely ignoring the massive food backlog. To make matters worse, when the food was finally handed over, the order was completely wrong and missing items I paid for. This location is an absolute embarrassment to the company name. Management needs to step in immediately and retrain this crew (at the very least). Avoid this location if you value your time and money. read more

It's KFC, and there are if course typical expectations which I am keeping unbmind when considering the rating. This location does a nice job all around, from a spacious and clean eating environment, hot food, and a very friendly team. While Kiosks are encouraged they do have a team member to ring you up. They were prompt to greet everyone, and even took time to say goodbye to people as they were leaving. The food was prepared within a reasonable time frame and tasted hot. I saw the commercial for the new Smashed Potato Bowl from KFC and had to go and try it for myself. The meal is $6.99 and comes with a soda but since I don't drink soda I just ordered the bowl. I was better off ordering the meal and getting a bottle of water because I still got charged $6.91. The outside looked nice and recently just reopened. When I went through the drive thru the worker was nice and got my order right away. When I got my order and opened it up to eat it I was highly disappointed. The size of the bowl is tiny, the way the commercial portrays the bowl and even the picture in the advertisement is deceiving. The size is the equivalent of a small side of mashed potatoes, needless to say I was still hungry after eating this. I would say just to pass on this bowl and get a regular meal. read more

I haven't been to KFC in sometime last kfc went to in Apopka the place was dirty and not well kept. However I was in such a mood for it. I was driving by this one on golden rod. I said let me go inside take a look before placing an order. Wow I have to say when I walked in the place was immaculate everything was so clean the sitting area all clean I went to wash my hands prior to Ordering the bathroom was clean. The place smelled like a brand new place. The workers were busy working taking care of customers. I glanced behind the register to see the cooks and looked at the floors back there as well, clean as well. I was given my food which was delicious I have to say I was not disappointed. While they didn't break any huge speed records with service through the drive-thru the person taking my order was nice. The girl at the window taking my payment and giving me my food did find as well. Let me just say...the fries DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Oh My...they were SMOKIN HOT. Like...I couldn't eat them right away. Such a welcomed difference in most fries you get through drive-thru. The sandwich was legit as well. The coating is like none other. I'll be back the next time my errands send me in this area. The customer service at this restaurant is extremely poor. They are not helpful and act as if you are bothering them by being there. They have a new policy that says you can't mix pieces you. I ordered a breast and two wings. They gave me two breasts and a wing. When I drove around to advise them of the mistake, they said they can't mix. Ok, I get it. That's your new policy. However, you should have said that when I placed my order. Instead you gave me what you wanted me to have. The attitude of the person in the headset was horrible. I went to this kfc sunday afternoon (2/13/22) and i was treated very badly. I waited like 10 min in the drive through and a girl with red curly hair, her name tag started with a Y, spoke to me in such a rude manner. I was really disappointed and considered leaving, since I waited so long I figured let me just get my food. So, I waited for my food and that same exact girl brought the food to the window and she smelled awfully like marijuana. Did a drive through for a bucket of chicken and sides. Asked for Mac and cheese, coleslaw and paid an extra $3 for another coleslaw. Service was quick. When we opened our order at home found that we had only one coleslaw and the second coleslaw was transformed to mashed potatoes. No plastic service and no napkins. The chicken was okay but was a little on the old side. Macaroni was tasty and I really love their coleslaw. The mashed potatoes were of the instant kind and not very tasty. Went to KFC to try those new chicken wraps and let me tell you how great they were , those wraps are so addicting it's crazy everything on that wrap was amazing like no complains whatsoever automatic 10/10 lol, so if you looking for like a snack real quick I suggest you getting one of those and plus they are very affordable. I also got the Famous Bowl I was not a big fan of those, I feel like it had too much gravy to where it was very overpowering to the point where I'm only tasting nothing but gravy lol, that's only downfall they just need to ease up on the gravy. Here is what really disappoint me at this location, first and foremost I originally wanted the Mac& cheese bowl that they didn't have so one of the employees came and was like " we ran out it will take 30mins to make , would you like the famous bowl instead ? My fellow yelpers rated this location pretty bad but I was feeling some chicken and didn't want to drive further. I pulled up to the drive thru and unfortunately the person was a little impatient which was annoying but after telling her to "slow down and relax" things went smooth. They weren't very busy so honestly I was worried about the freshness. We received our order correctly and it's good and piping hot. The chicken was crispy like it just came out of the fryer. Nancy took our order and she was very nice and smiled and she was very friendly. The entire dining room was a disaster. There was a soda spilled all over one of the tables and all over the floor. I let another employee know about it and all they did was bring a caution sign to put next to it. They never did clean it the entire time we were there which was about 22 minutes. The tables and chairs and especially the floors were filthy and disgusting. The trash cans were completely full and even the trays the food came on were sticky. Horrible service. The Manager Armando has the worst customer service ever. They messed up my order and to begin with they failed to provide me a receipt. When I called, I had to called like 4 times before someone answered the phone. This is the second time I've had a terrible experience with KFC. Not only was the drive-thru service so slow to the fact it was 30 minutes before I finally got my food and left, but I had ordered a 3 piece big box, I had asked for one thigh to be grilled, and 25 mins later when I finally reach the window to pay, they tell me they don't have any grilled chicken. You mean to tell me during the 25 minutes I was waiting for my food that you couldn't throw some chicken on the grill?? Only positive side I'll give this location is they had made the potato wedges I ordered fresh and hot. Other than that, I wouldn't see myself going back there again. After a recent a bad experience with a different location I was surprised that my wife asked me to stop KFC for our Thursday dinner. I utilized their drive-thru so it would be quick and easy. Placing my order was a breeze and there was only 3 cars ahead of us. When it was my turn, the told me they were out of the "original" and if I would take "crispy" instead. The Goldenrod location has to be the worst fast food restaurant that I've ever dealt with. Two weeks ago they got my order wrong in the drive-through but I decided to give them another chance and lo and behold, they didn't disappoint resulting in complete and utter dissatisfaction. I walked in and before placing my order, asked the cashier if they had grilled chicken and was told they did. I placed my order and after about 10 minutes I looked at my receipt and noticed it said "OR" which I assumed meant Original Recipe. I went to the register and asked a different cashier and he said the receipt did indicate original and that I would have to wait 20 minutes for grilled. I of course asked for my money back and a manager came over and apologized. She seem not to care at all, not evening looking at me after I explained to her what happened -- she just handed me my money and mumbled "sorry". It's unbelievable in this day and age how this particular location can continue to operate this way and represent the KFC brand. If I can give this place a negative 15 I would. 1st of all the manager named Henry is extremely rude. This man for being a manager does not know what customer service is. I had ordered food last night through drive threw, and also they got it wrong and they didn't even give me a receipt. So when I had called the store, to speak to someone about it the " manager " named Henry told me he would compensate my meal n that he was truly sorry. I had made sure before we hung up that he would take down my name so I could come the next day to get the food.
